Hump Day

HAPPY WEDNESDAY
Last weekend while hubby and I went to Ohio to see our grandson (and I will put some pictures on later . . .) My daughter and son went to Chattanooga to the Incline there and CheeBurger Cheeburger . . .

He is such a happy kid - most of the time - and has a smile that is contagious - and I think he's photogenic - I am not!

Here he is at the base of Look Out Mtn. Chattanooga TN.

The incline. It was about 5 minutes up and 5 down. Of course there was a souvenir shop at the top - he got a dinosaur.

This was by CheeBurger Cheeburger.

They had a great time together. The hamburger joint - told to me by Sue, Linda, and Denise - was awesome. You build your own hamburger out of anything you want to build it out of and the shakes the same way. A joint if you will - kind of like the 50's restaurant.

They have vacation this week - today we are heading to a safari here in Pine Mtn., GA to feed the animals. You drive through it - windows down - and feed them food - which should be exciting.

Now here is a quote that I like and hope you enjoy as well -

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
—Howard Thurman(1899-1981); Author, Philosopher, Theologian, Educator, Civil Rights Leader

We do need to become alive. To open our eyes and to see the beautiful world around us. God is an amazing painter and builder. Compare a tree to a power line - know what I mean?

We need to become alive for ourselves and feel the beauty in life. We need to come alive for others for them to see our beauty.

What are you going to do to become more alive today? Just one thing today . . .

I think when I go to Pine Mtn. I am going to ditch all my worries and concerns and just be with the family and the animals - to really give of myself today - to look at all of God's creatures - and to breathe...

Enjoy the day,

Sandie

That incline ride looks like something my family would love, but I would wait for them at the bottom! Cute videos from yesterday!

What a fun day! Great pictures.

We used to have a Cheeburger Cheeburger but it closed down before I ever got around to eating there.

Yes, you are right, he IS photogenic and has a fabulous smile. Your daughter is lovely too.

Have y'all ever been to Ruby Falls up there in Chattanooga? We stopped there on a trip back to Florida one year.

Have a great day. Can't wait to see photos of the little guy.

I am going to the same kind of safari place next month!!! I can't wait, they just had a baby giraffe. Get your camera charged up, you ought to take enough pictures for posts the rest of the year!! I can't wait to see your pictures! I have never heard of this incline place, what is it? Nor have I heard of the Cheeburger joint, that sounds fabulous.

This looks like a fun excursion, and the build your own burger sounds delish.

GS is very photogenic - a real cutie. And it looks like he loves posing for the camera, too!

Can't wait to see pictures of Will :)

Have fun at the safari - it's OK to roll down the windows and feed the animals. Just make sure that they don't feed on you! I've heard that Chattys give them indigestion!

Loved that quote, Sandie - and yes, I think that we all need to come alive - for ourselves and for others. What am I going to do to become more alive today? I think I'm going to use your example - ditch my worries and concerns...

...and just breathe.

Awesome, Sandie! I love the quote and your choice to be alive in your day!! We vacationed in Chattanooga last summer with LM and his family. That incline railroad is impressive!! Hope you had (and I'm sure you did) a LIVE and enjoyable day at Pine Mt.

Such a happy child. Your daughter looks like his big sister!! Never his mum. You probably get taken for that. Ray used to live at Spring City near Chattanooga. He didn't get to go there this visit. He is back home again and we are taking off for Sydney next week. My mother is very ill. I hope you make your grandson an album with all these photos. I bet he loves you lots. xxx

This is a fun post with great pictures but I keep going back to the "build your own burger" part. (My food deprivation is doing that to me.) Could I build a burger with lots of lettuce and cheese and onions and then pour Caesar dressing all over it? I am drooling.
