"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage."
~ Anais Nin

I think about this a lot. My life shrinking or expanding. Of course I want it to expand because I think that means that I will learn or feel or experience many things. And I like that. Now sometimes it will depending on the risks I take - and sometimes it doesn't - depending on my mood or strength of my risk meter - what about y'all? What do you think? Do you even want your life to expand? Is it a good thing? And what do you think courage has to do with it?

Love, Chatty Crone

I like the idea of expanding my life, Kiddo! And yes, it takes a good deal of courage. However, it's my Faith in God that always gets me through!...:)JP

don't let my dogs see that cartoon, they have already taken over the rest of the house, the computer i need to keep for ME.
i am on the fence about if i want my life to expand or stay the same, i am content with it the way it is, but another part of me says get out there and find something new, like volunteer at the homeless one stop. I hesitate to do it because of? i don't know. thinking is hurting my brain. and it does take courage to do new things or expand what we are already doing. i find it hard to go outside my comfort zone which means i should, i THINK

Sandie, I am at a stage in my life where I can expand. It does take courage to step outside one's comfort zone. With the Lord's guidance I am doing it in small steps. I don't even want to think about the opportunities I have missed because I did not "expand sooner". But look out world, here I come:)

It is good for our lives to expand, but depending on the type of person you are, it can take courage. Courage to want to see what's outside of your comfort zone. Unfortunatly, mine may be shrinking.

Oh my gosh! My kids do that same thing. The sprinkler, not the squirrel. hehe

I want my life to expand. I really don't know if that would require courage or not,I think it would require more courage if life stayed the same all the time. After all life is about change, without that there is no growth. Blessings jane

The squirrel video? Disgusting, but hysterical. My favorite combination!!

And yes, I do think a lot about the "size" of my life. My dad used to always warn me against having "shrunken horizons." I think we have to work harder at staying involved when we get older - it's easier when our children are home - they drag us into activities.

I want my life to expand. It's taking a move in that direction right now. It's terrifying - but it's really, really good. I think courage has a lot to do with it - but so does obedience. Because even though I'm pretty scared, I'm going to do what God's leading me to anyway!

GOD BLESS!

I want to expand, but only with the things that really matter and not get too expanded that it becomes overwhelming, make sense??

loved the deer in the sprinklers; I taught Koda how to drink out sprinklers when we go walking so he can get a drink, LOL :)

hoping you are getting back to the swing of things from your trip!
