Disco's first play date - named Marley - a golden retriever - his dad's dog.
Disco going after Marley - Marley's dad said he wouldn't leave the yard.
There he is!
This animal we kept! lol Oh yeah and Disco too! They are best buds.
Okay just to keep you up to date we went to Cincinnati over the weekend (baby pictures tomorrow) and we drove home Monday - 450 miles - in torrential rain! It was rough. Good thing the GS and daughter stayed home. We saw 13 MAJOR car accidents. It was like bumper cars!
Hope Texas got some rain - I know they got cooler temps and so did we.
Do you know how many natural disasters have been recorded in the US this year - saw it on GMA - 10 - a record! Whew - hope every one is okay!

Baby pics tomorrow -- can't wait! What a great play date! Looks like fun -- wish I could have joined in!
Looks like your grandson, Disco and Marley had a great playdate! Marley looks a lot like my Roxanne. So glad you are home safe. Very much looking forward to the baby pics! :)
LOOKS LIKE ALL THE BOYS HAD FUN.
Hi Sandie...
Can't wait for the baby pictures. Looks like the pups had fun. Grandson, too. Susan
Glad you're home safe and sound my friend. Must have been a pretty awful journey in all that rain and with all those accidents :( Lovely photos of the two pooches getting along really well. Look forward to seeing baby photos! Hee Hee!!
Aw they look like they are having fun! Glad you made it home safely!!!
i really enjoyed the dog story today. you know how i love dogs. you could have called them mutt and jeff because of the difference in size. looks like everyone had a blast.
no rain here. just wildfires in the vicinity. smoke and haze is heavy and frightening today... nothing like austin, but too close for comfort.
love doggie playdates (when they get along!)
Wow, all those accidents! So glad you were safe and sound, Sandie!! Cute pictures with the play date, sounds like Disco did great with it!!
betty
Disco is dating! Where did the time go? Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Looks like everyone had a good time:@)
Glad you are home, safe and sound. I hate driving in heavy rain.
The pups sure had fun. Looking forward to baby pics. :)
Disco looks like a mini Marley.
That trip home sounds awful! Glad you're okay.
Disco, you look like you got quite the workout with your buddy Marley! Marley looks like he is so well behaved unlike the "famous" Marley! Glad you made it back safely and oh, my heart goes out to those people in Texas where the fires are. To everyone who has been whomped up the side of the head this year! They say the locusts come next - I hope not! Ann
...and a good time was had by all. Now Marley is whose dad's dog?
glad you made it home ok! hope the trip, other than the rain was enjoyable!
Fun photos Sandie, dogs are fun. Glad that you made it back from Cincinnati safely. The weather has gone bad here as well, very strong winds. Looking forward to see the baby pics tomorrow :)
Enjoy your evening my friend!
How cute the dogs...they all sure were having a good time. Your drive sound just awlful...I don't like driving in the rain either... I enjoyed this post.
So glad they got along so well!
Sorry about the drive in the pouring rain. Yikes!
Cutest post ever! Dogs are so funny!
Glad you had a safe trip on Monday.
what a great time,, I miss my four legged pal,, its been 9 years since he went to doggy heaven.I found you from blogs that I also read,, I'm glad I did.
you said to let you know if we take a button so I'm letting you know,, lol,, I love an optimist, I'm a half full glass girl myself,,( and I love every chance to say that ,, the girl part) at 56 its a joy to use that word!
A fun day, but can't wait for tomorrow's pictures! Wow, your living room is NEAT! You must have a family room to keep it that straightened up!!
Dogs enjoy their play dates as much as kids do! Looks like you all had fun in fact...Gran behind the camera, Disco and Marley exploring and Grandson adopting the role of ring master! A lovely set of pictures recording the debut get together. 13 accidents over 400 plus miles is horrific! So pleased you arrived home safely. Looking forward to seeing the baby's pics!
I thought about you all driving in the rain.. Do you come down I-75 through Knoxville???? If that is the way you come, sometime--when you are traveling, we'll meet you in Knoxville for lunch or coffee or something. Just keep us posted!!!!
That is a long and stressful trip --especially in the rain. Glad you made it home safe and sound.
Love seeing the two doggies play together. They certainly had to check everything out, didn't they???? Cute photos.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wow, I'm sorry about the awful ride home! Glad you got back safe. I loved the pics of the dogs meeting and greeting.
What fun pictures!! Sure am happy you are home and safe now! Take care.
Nancy
Disco has a Julius Caesar complex...he is definitely in charge! Marley is beautiful! ...:)JP
Love these photo's and can't wait to see the baby.

Looks like a good time was had by one and all. I thought my sister was the only one that invited another dog over for a playdate.... Now I know she's not alone.
Thank you for visiting me, Chatty Crone. I love your quotes. Must read more of you!
Oh how funny. My post for tonight is about Duke and his new friend :)
sounds like a rough ride home, glad you made it safe and sound
Looks like everyone had a blast!!!
Have a great week and glad you returned home safely!
*hugs*deb
The boys look like they had a ton of fun!
Boy do I have some catching up to do.
The dogs were so cute together. I could sit and watch animals playing all day long. I would much rather watch my 2 indoor kitties playing together than watch TV.
Hugs, Sue
P.S. I am such a bad blogger. I just get so darn busy and then I get into a rut and have absolutely nothing to share. I am such a dull girlie lately.
Hi Sandie, Love the dogs and they both have cute names. I especially like the name 'Disco'. Hope your day brings you joy and goodness. GOD BLESS!
Sorry I have missed your posts. Something happened with my blog list and I haven't figured out what - yet.
So glad to see the dogs being social. I wish mine were. Loved it that the big dog marked over the little one's markings. What a LOT of miles you put on! Looking for baby pics!
what a fun day! I hope Disco and Marley get another play day soon!
Glad you were not one of the wrecks on the highway!
Those two had a blast together! Look forward to the baby pictures. Glad y'all made it home safely! No rain yet. Fires all around. Please pray for rain. Thank you. blessings ~ Tanna
but, yes, we are cooler!
adorable photos!

Play date is the new language
My grandsons have play dates, and now I see your dog does too.
I know horses that do that.
Play-date and sleepovers. We use to call them "spending the night".
Whatever it is seems busy all the way around, and I am sure you agree!
I'm not sure the big dog was playing by the swing set. It looked like something else to me!
Oh, this was SO much fun. Marty gets to play with his cousin, Ruby, my sister's dog, every now and then. They are hysterical together. She's a rottweiler. I had no idea that beagles could hold their own in an extreme boxing bout. Marty is a scrapper...
Loved this one - Disco is so cute. And I'm thrilled that you're keeping that one guy behind bars. He's special...
