Disco's first playdate!

Disco's first play date - named Marley - a golden retriever - his dad's dog.

A rather big size difference - look at the GS projects rack! At least it is an orderly mess.

A little friendly sniffing.

A little more friendly sniffing.

They both spot something outside! What is it?

Never mind let's go check out the house again.

Oh no - can't get i the dining room this way!

They got a long really well.

BOYS - ALL OF YOU! Get out of the living room and off the sofa!

In and now out!

Disco going after Marley - Marley's dad said he wouldn't leave the yard.

Kids make such liars out of you.

Marley marking his spot and every where he did - Disco went over it!

Playing in the back yard by the swing set.

They even played games - Hide and seek - where is Disco?

There he is!

Okay what's next?

Back in the house to have a final drink and say goodbye!

Goodbye Marley - you'll have to come back and play.

This animal we kept! lol Oh yeah and Disco too! They are best buds.

Okay just to keep you up to date we went to Cincinnati over the weekend (baby pictures tomorrow) and we drove home Monday - 450 miles - in torrential rain! It was rough. Good thing the GS and daughter stayed home. We saw 13 MAJOR car accidents. It was like bumper cars!

Hope Texas got some rain - I know they got cooler temps and so did we.

Do you know how many natural disasters have been recorded in the US this year - saw it on GMA - 10 - a record! Whew - hope every one is okay!

no rain here. just wildfires in the vicinity. smoke and haze is heavy and frightening today... nothing like austin, but too close for comfort.

love doggie playdates (when they get along!)

Disco looks like a mini Marley.

That trip home sounds awful! Glad you're okay.

Disco, you look like you got quite the workout with your buddy Marley! Marley looks like he is so well behaved unlike the "famous" Marley! Glad you made it back safely and oh, my heart goes out to those people in Texas where the fires are. To everyone who has been whomped up the side of the head this year! They say the locusts come next - I hope not! Ann

A fun day, but can't wait for tomorrow's pictures! Wow, your living room is NEAT! You must have a family room to keep it that straightened up!!

Dogs enjoy their play dates as much as kids do! Looks like you all had fun in fact...Gran behind the camera, Disco and Marley exploring and Grandson adopting the role of ring master! A lovely set of pictures recording the debut get together. 13 accidents over 400 plus miles is horrific! So pleased you arrived home safely. Looking forward to seeing the baby's pics!

I thought about you all driving in the rain.. Do you come down I-75 through Knoxville???? If that is the way you come, sometime--when you are traveling, we'll meet you in Knoxville for lunch or coffee or something. Just keep us posted!!!!

That is a long and stressful trip --especially in the rain. Glad you made it home safe and sound.

Love seeing the two doggies play together. They certainly had to check everything out, didn't they???? Cute photos.

Hugs,
Betsy

Looks like a good time was had by one and all. I thought my sister was the only one that invited another dog over for a playdate.... Now I know she's not alone.

Boy do I have some catching up to do.

The dogs were so cute together. I could sit and watch animals playing all day long. I would much rather watch my 2 indoor kitties playing together than watch TV.

Hugs, Sue
P.S. I am such a bad blogger. I just get so darn busy and then I get into a rut and have absolutely nothing to share. I am such a dull girlie lately.

Sorry I have missed your posts. Something happened with my blog list and I haven't figured out what - yet.
So glad to see the dogs being social. I wish mine were. Loved it that the big dog marked over the little one's markings. What a LOT of miles you put on! Looking for baby pics!

Play date is the new language
My grandsons have play dates, and now I see your dog does too.
I know horses that do that.
Play-date and sleepovers. We use to call them "spending the night".
Whatever it is seems busy all the way around, and I am sure you agree!

I'm not sure the big dog was playing by the swing set. It looked like something else to me!

Oh, this was SO much fun. Marty gets to play with his cousin, Ruby, my sister's dog, every now and then. They are hysterical together. She's a rottweiler. I had no idea that beagles could hold their own in an extreme boxing bout. Marty is a scrapper...

Loved this one - Disco is so cute. And I'm thrilled that you're keeping that one guy behind bars. He's special...
