HAVE YOU EVER BEEN THIS TIRED?

DON'T WORRY. TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!

(From who else, but Jerry)

The Riddle of Here. Again this is a spirit video. It may ask you to join - but it is free. Do it only if you want to see videos that life your spirits and soul!

What is it about - talks about an everlasting joy that you will never lose - the here and now. We are always looking for something. We think it is complicated but it is easy. We look everywhere but in the here and not. We look to when - to then - but not now.

And don't get me wrong - I do it too. But I have the answer and I just decide every day to try again. I have the Lord today, my family today, my life today - I can't worry about what happened yesterday, but I do at times. And I sometimes fret about tomorrow - but how do I know it is mine? Maybe this is so important to me because sometimes I feel I am so close to this place - and then I lose it! Are you in the now?

I want to enjoy the N O W !

"My aim is to put down on paper what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way." ~ Ernest Hemingway

As a matter of fact, I think there've been a couple of times I've been even more tired than that ;-)

He looks quite comfy hanging there... and yes I have felt that weary some times... as Lisa says, maybe even more tired than that a few times too.

Thankfully, joy is a strengthening agent so I try to walk in His joy every day... laugh lots too!

love the draped cat shot, and sometimes i feel just that way but not that pretty of course. i do fret about the future and think about the past, but not as much as i used to. i try to live the now, and much of the time I do.. but my personality is the What If kind, so i fight that daily

Cute photo! I have felt that way, the other day it hit me as I was driving home from shopping. Not a good thing! I managed to stay awake somehow. But oh did I want to just pull over and take a nap!

I don't think about the past as often as I once did. And I do wonder about the future sometimes as in health issues or the state of the world. But I also know Who holds the future!

Have a wonderful day!

As the quote goes, "If only we'd stop trying to be happy, we'd have a pretty good time". This very moment is all we can be assured of, why waste it thinking about before or after. We miss the very essence of life this way.

Oh, yes I have. Someone took a picture of me at my daughters wedding reception and I looked like that cat. I had cooked all the food, decorated the enitre yard and had manicured all 7 garden areas, plus the big white tent and hadn't had time to chage into my "pretty" clothes before guests started arriving. whewwww

Debbie said...

Yep. I've been that tired. And just like the cat, it's usually because I have gone and put myself out on a limb.

Pretty good... huh?

And I'm like you in that I tend to fret about yesterday and worry about tomorrow. I'm even worse, I don't always enjoy today.

I felt like that today actually, but didn't look that good! lol!
I try to live for today, but I've always battled my worries of yesterday and tomorrow. That's why I love reading your blog, it's so positive and reminds me to stop and appreciate the moment. A habit I have is writing down quotes or poems that I like on a 8x10 piece of paper and I tape it to the wall as your walking into the kitchen for everyone to read. :)

Yes, I'm learning to just slow down and enjoy now. With my daughter in college this year I realized I rushed through everything. I want to enjoy the now and worry about tomorrow, well I know I'll still worry, but at least I'll enjoy life!

And yes, I have been that tired!!!

Hi Sandie...

Usually, I try very hard to live in the now.

When I get mad, I let the steam out, and then I feel better. I do not like to stay mad for long.

Take care and have a wonderful Friday. Susan

Appointment! 'Just concluded an important-but-rough day ...so i'm bookmarking this for the weekend.

Probably my biggest struggle, living in the "now" and not fretting over should'ves, could'ves ... or what might happen tomorrow.

I think one of the reasons it's so hard to live in the NOW is because every time we turn around we are being told that we have to plan for the future, to be ready for the future, etc. so whatever we're doing there's always that little voice in the back of your head reminding you that what you are doing right that second is going to affect what happens tomorrow.

Sharon said...

Working on living in the NOW. I believe it's what God calls us to do. We are given daily bread...DAILY!

Not yesterday, that is a cancelled check. Not tomorrow, that is a promissory note. But NOW - that is hard, cold cash, my friend!!
