Let's Finish Things Up

I told you I had two wonderful Elves to help me finish the tree.

Number 1 Elf or should I say Top Elf- Putting Ornaments on the tree.

Gaining Speed-

This is usual speed! lol

Number two Elf is asking grandma what in the world is happening and what is that big green thing in the room? And where is my attention?

Ta Dah- The finished tree - I need a better camera or a better photographer!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY AND IT'S A GOOD ONE!

Whenever you see darkness, there is extraordinary opportunity for the light to burn brighter. - Bono

How do you interpret that?

I think it's like a Pollyanna statement - well things may be dark now - so what! - you'll be able to see the good things that are coming even better.

The tree looks perfect. Bono's quote reminds me of the candlelight service at our church on Christmas Eve. The sanctuary is totally dark, the pastor lights one candle, and the whole congregation can see that light, then the light is passed from one candle to the next until everyone's candle is lit. The sanctuary is bright.

I love that quote ... to me, it means that this world is full of darkness, which provides the opportunity for our light to shine even brighter. You are the light of the world. Matthew 5:14

Beautiful tree. I bought a pre-lit artificial this year (first one) and it came with all white lights. I think I'm missing the pretty colors.

Your tree is beautiful!!!!! I see grandson is a speed decorator, yet he did a really good job! I love the Bono quote! We should not be afraid of the darkness, we have the power of the spirit in us. Just one little candle can vanquish the dark for a long distance.

A gorgeous tree, and a sweet elf! Who could ask for more. :)

Pretty tree and so nice to have it "done". I go with your interpretation--dark times always seem to be followed by "bright" times. Or maybe they just seem brighter because of what one has just been through. Mickie :)

The tree is gorgeous, but I kinda like that special decoration dressed in red in front of it. That's the best one of all.

Very pretty tree! Love the blurry photos of the fast moving elf! :)

I think that quote means it's up to each of us to make things better in our world.

I love your tree. I have the HARDEST time photographing them.

I also like the Bono quote. I take it to mean that the light shines so much brighter when it is piercing the darkness. The contrast puts light on the light.

When we see those who are walking in darkness, we need to run to them with the light.

I love your tree! And I think your pictures are just fine!

Disco - what an adorable picture of him!

How I interpret that quote? Well, when we find pockets of darkness in this sad and lonely world, we have the chance to bring the Light of the World to the hearts of the lost. Sometimes it is only in the dark that some people realize how very much they need the Light.

The Light of the World was born in a dark and dingy manger. And yet, He glowed brighter than any star in the sky.

GOD BLESS!
