Monday - cherry chocolate cobbler

I am running late on reading posts and answering emails - but I WILL get to them - I've had a busy weekend.

We went to see Chipwrecked and it was sooooooooooooooooo cute!
Cherry Chocolate Cobbler
This is THE easier thing I've ever made.

And it was soooooooooooooo good.

RECIPE:

1
can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
1/2
cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/2
cup quick-cooking oats
1/4
cup firm butter or margarine
1/2
cup semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF. In ungreased 8-inch square pan, spread pie filling.
  2. In medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix, brown sugar and oats. Cut in butter, using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until crumbly. Stir in chocolate chips. Spoon evenly over pie filling.
  3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until very bubbly around edges. Serve warm.
From Betty Crocker

This is great, you'll love it!! Merry Christmas!!

From Betsy From Tennessee:

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

“Patience is a kind of love. A love that is its own explanation in bewildered circumstance. It is an old, old woman placing a wrinkled-parchment hand against the cheek of a reckless child. Because her heart is too wise to make room for reproach. Too full to find place for offense. ”

For some reason, that comic made me think of my cousin Erin and her son Dylan. I haven't spent nearly enough time with the two of them, but it just seems like something Dylan would be doing!

Hi Sandie, Having kids around keeps one young. I had not heard of that movie!!!! ha

My hubby will NOT eat cherries (one of the few foods he doesn't like) so I would make that delicious cobbler with apples or maybe peaches... YUM...

Glad you shared that video.. I thought it was awesome.

I will be trying that cobbler soon!

That clip of the kids was just precious. My friends and I were just complaining about all the sad Christmas music. I don't mean to police other people's taste in music, but every time I turn the radio on this year, they seem to be playing tear jerker music.

I'm not an iPod gal so I will have to load up my Christmas CDs and avoid the stuff I don't like. Those kids were just what I needed to see and hear tonight. :)

Alvin - always been an Alvin fan.

That cobbler looks delicious - and it looks simple enough for even a baking-challenged fool like me to make!

Interesting thought, Sandie - really deep. Gotta ponder it a bit more...
