Sunday - My gift to you!

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Technically this is my grandson's second Christmas - but his first time to see Santa! Takes right after his dad! He did the same thing!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

“May the spirit of the season be with you today and throughout the new year! ”

I think all little ones have that same expression. That or they just look in awe. Memorable moments.

This image of Santa bowing at the manger is my favorite image for Santa. And your grandson is SOOOO precious.

Last night when I was babysitting my little granddaughter, she showed me all her pictures with Santa. The first ones she was screaming, now 5 years later, she tells me "I was so immature!" They grow so fast.

My youngest grandson did the same thing this year. The ones that did that last year though, were right up there telling him everything they wanted for Christmas this year :-)

Oh I love that Santa picture! In years to come it will be a fun memory, especially when he is older and wonders why he was so scared.

Quote at the top today, priceless and so true. I struggle with that everyday and hope to achieve that contentment.

It looks like that Santa has a pretty tight grip on him....I'm sure he has had lots of practice.
I'm sure your grandson will change his tune in the next couple of years, but that is a great picture to have for now.

Santa can be an overwhelming sight for some kids. I remember our son was afraid of "Cwanta Sause". What a sad picture!!

Aaaw, bless him! I think Santa can be quite overpowering for very little ones. That Father Christmas is wonderful though. Looks just like the real thing! Hugs.

I guess Santa is pretty scary looking to little ones! Love the photo of Santa and Jesus.

Oh---what a sweet picture -despite the tears!!!! Seems like most all little ones go through a stage like this... Santa is kinda scary looking to a 2 yr. old.... Cute picture though.

Hugs,
Betsy

I have always loved the image of Santa kneeling beside baby Jesus. Too often in today's world we forget the real reason for Christmas.
My 3 year old still will not sit on Santa's lap. He just doesn't trust this big guy in a red suit. LOL

You get a big fat guy in a furry red suit coming at you and I would be scared too.

Lol, family legend says I did the same thing. I don't blame your GS - that Santa looks a little evil......

Oh Sandie.....The little doll didn't like Santa at all! You know what? They will treasure that photo in years to come.

I have my daughter's screaming bloody murder photo, too, and we always get a kick out of it when we see it.

Thanks for sharing. Susan

I have never seen Santa bowing and praying beside the manger before.
Your poor little grandson. I don't know why every child screams as soon as they see Santa. Next year might be better. xxxx

Aw, that first experience with Santa is always a little rough...lol

I wonder why so many kids are frightened by Santa. You'd think we wouldn't subject them to that terror, huh?! Photo ops trump childhood trauma, I guess!! :)
