Fun Friday with a little help from my friends . . .

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS - TGIF - TIME TO DANCE AND LAUGH!

Senior Love.

I was in my back yard trying to launch a kite.
I threw the kite up in the air, the wind would catch it for a few seconds, then it would come crashing back down to earth.
I tried this a few more times with no success.
All the while, my wife Karen is watching from the kitchen window, muttering to herself how men need to be told how to do everything.
She opens the window and yelled to me,'You need a piece of tail.
I turned with a confused look on my face and yelled back, 'Make up your mind. Last night, you told me to go fly a kite'

(sorry about the word - if I knew how to change it I would - but I thought this was an excellent lesson to learn!) Some times you have to be quiet and just blend in.

Senior wedding

Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, living in Miami , are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding, and on the way they pass a drugstore.. Jacob suggests they go in.

Jacob addresses the man behind the counter:

"Are you the owner?"

The pharmacist answers, "Yes."

Jacob: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"

Pharmacist: "Of course, we do."

Jacob: "How about medicine for circulation?"

Pharmacist: "All kinds."

Jacob: "Medicine for rheumatism?"

Pharmacist: "Definitely."

Jacob: "How about suppositories?"

Pharmacist: "You bet!"

Jacob: "Medicine for memory problems, arthritis and Alzheimer's?"

Pharmacist: "Yes, a large variety. The works."

Jacob: "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson's disease?"

Pharmacist: "Absolutely."

Jacob: "Everything for heartburn and indigestion?"

Pharmacist: "We sure do."

Jacob: "You sell wheelchairs and walkers and canes?"

Pharmacist: "All speeds and sizes."

Jacob: "Adult diapers?"

Pharmacist: "Sure."

Jacob: "We'd like to use this store as our Bridal Registry."

ENJOY! This is just plain funny.

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, ROVER, the Wonder Dog and was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog,

I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and that the way that it works is, to load your pants pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff a poodle and a car hit me.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

Costco won't let me shop there anymore.
Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say.

My husband is home, and I am going to read THIS one aloud to him. I don't do that very often, but there are some posts that just need sharing.

And I love the Audrey Hepburn quote. Think about it: She was one of the loveliest actresses of our time. I wonder if love of laughter had anything to do with that?

I liked the wedding registry one. It reminded me of my Dad and his lady friend at assisted living. They wanted to get married and that's what it would have been like.

I don't have a mute button for snoring but I have a nice loud fan that I turn on. It muffles out the sound.

Loved the fox hunt one... and if there was one thing to say that I love, it's what Audrey Hepburn says about laughing.

I love to laugh.... and I love that old clip from Mary Poppins when they're laughing and having tea on the ceiling.
