Monday - A recipe for Valentine's Day

This is perfect for those of us with just one or two in the house these days, hate to make a huge cake. This way you can make 1,2,3,or as many as you need.

3, 2, 1 CAKE

These individual little cakes are amazing and ready to eat in one minute! They are perfect for whenever you feel like a treat without all the fat and calories that cake can have. Genius idea!

INGREDIENTS:
1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
1 box Cake Mix - Any Flavor
2 Tbsp Water
Makes 1 serving.

DIRECTIONS:

In a ziploc bag, combine the two cake mixes together and mix well. For each individual cake serving, take out 3 Tablespoons of the cake mix combination and mix it with 2 Tablespoons of water in a small microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for 1 minute, and you have
your own instant individual little cake!

KEEP remaining cake mixture stored in the Ziploc bag and use whenever you feel like a treat!

You can top each cake with a dollop of fat free whipped topping and/or some fresh fruit.

Helpful Tips:

This recipe is called 3, 2, 1 Cake because all you need to remember is "3 tablespoons mix, 2 tablespoons water, 1 minute in the microwave!"

TRY various flavors of cake mix like carrot, red velvet, pineapple, lemon, orange, etc. Just remember that one of the mixes has to be the angel food mix; the other is your choice.
The flavor possibilities are endless!

The best thing is, you open both cake mixes into a gallon storage bag, one that 'zip locks' or 'self-seals', or a container that seals tightly, shake the two cake mixes to blend and then make the recipe. Storage of mix is simple, put it on a shelf. No need to refrigerate, since the mix is dry.

Always remember, that one of the cake mixes MUST be Angel Food. The other can be any flavor.

The Angel Food is the cake mix that has the eggs whites in it. So, if, anyone is allergic to egg whites, you can NOT serve this recipe.

Now someone sent me this recipe - and I have forgotten who. If you did - let me know and I will give you credit. I'm sorry.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - kind of goes with the new quote for the week. You have to be honest and committed.

I usually make my cakes from scratch because they're easy to do and don't have all the additives that box mixes have, but I'd make an exception for this! Wish I had the mixes, I'd try this today!
Great quote, Sandie! Have a great day, it's snowing here right now.

It is a genius idea! We don't eat desert much any more but this might be worth trying (as long as I didn't get tempted to microwave the whole thing one bite after another ;>)

Thanks for a really great idea. It's just my hubby and me, so a big cake is too much. This will be perfect.

Cake is one of my weaknesses ... this way I can have a bit of sweetness, without the temptation of a whole cake sitting in the house. Thanks SO much for sharing that!

Love the quote, too.

Sandie, I love this idea! I think it would be a wonderful gift idea in a pretty bag to someone who lives alone or just a couple so they can enjoy a treat whenever they want.

Wouldn't it also be great to make several kinds and divvy it up among friends? This is really a great idea.

I’d like to include this in our company’s newsletter next month!
Didn’t see any mention of food coloring, but don’t suppose 2-3 drops o’green would hurt ... to commemorate St. Paddy’s Day?

Your wisdom for Valentines Day had be chuckling…
Today is my 44th wedding anniversary.
Valentines day is not the same these days.
It use to be so simple.

BTW: of all the people commenting on the poor hairless cat, I chose you to be the one that would care for a poor cat such as this one. I don't know why either. I thought you were a dog lover first. These cats are so fragile, I am glad we have one WITH fur. I will be posting many more cats when I get in gear.
