Thursday - Spring

This was made and given to me by a dear friend.

Well it is going to be sunny today and mid 50's - which is cold for us - we have been in the 60's! I wonder if a cold spell is coming.

My mom used to tell me that in Atlanta - spring time was a blessing and not a season. I miss her.

All down the road they plant trees and the pink ones (how do you like that technical term?) are blooming already.

Still have not heard from school number three - it will probably be in March - and I am still praying. And the bully situation - the boy has been gone for 2 days - and he has been moved out of the GS's room to another 5th grade class. I don't know if he has been suspended or what.

Want to know some facts about the human body?

Photobucket

It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.

One human hair can support 6.6 pounds.

The average man's penis is two times the length of his thumb.

Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.

A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.

There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

Women blink twice as often as men.

The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.

Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

Women will be finished reading this by now.

Men are still busy checking their thumbs. (Sorry guys.)

Now I ask you - don't you learn something important here every day?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Those were some interesting facts that I didn't know. Did you call the school to find out what happened?

Love this!

Now, I'm going to stand up and see if I can find any of those 300 muscles. Doubtful. :)

Have a great day, Sandie!

I LOVE what your mom said. And about this fact, "It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach," it then takes 2 seconds to go from your stomach to your hips.

Hope you hear from the school with good news.

It is hard to be patient! Hopefully the answer will come soon. Thanks for those facts. Have to go wash my feet. Have a good day.

Great post, Sandie. Loved it. Didn't know about they bullying. That was awful to hear but glad the culprit is out of the classroom. We must be HOPEFUL that God knows what he's doing about GS's future and what school he'll be in.

Take care and hope you have a terrific Thursday! Susan

Could this be the answer to the problem? I hope..It's such a shame that kids have to be subject to bulleys...Makes me mad just thinking about it...I am confident that God will reveal His plans to you...I know it's hard waiting....

You crack me up with your posts...these facts are funny....

So true. Thanks for sharing! I like the words at the top of your post. We moved to the Chicago area from Charleston, S.C. in February many years ago. When spring came, it was beautiful. When you live in an area that always has green trees and flowers growing, you forget how beautiful and renewing spring is. Our youngest son, 7 at the time, asked what had killed all the trees. I realized that he had never seen a deciduous tree. In Charleston, the only bare trees were dead trees.

Best,
Bonnie

I will never view a man's thumb the same way now! And neither will they. Too funny.

Ha Ha ~~ What did you learn from posting this? A bunch I am sure.

That is a good idea of the free hugs. We used to have periodic hug days at the college but then all of a sudden it dried up.
Everyone had to be careful not to be falsely accused of something not proper.

Glad the school moved the bully. Still no news on school number 3? I like the expression..."No news is good news." Let's hope that's right.

Great post, my friend.... Yes. Our weather stick moves when it's bad weather it's goes down and good weather it goes up. Yes. We have two LARGE insulated dog houses that Mike made a second story in both and they have heating units in them for the feral cats. They are in two separate areas of Zone 3 with separate eating areas next to each. Zone 3 is the back yard -- just for wild animals -- I am not allowed back there. I hope I remembered all your questions....

I would be curious as heck about the bully boy being gone from class.
Interesting fact there

I would definitely ask about the bully!
Now these facts are very interesting. And you just crack me up! Whether I want to or not I'll probably start noticing men's thumbs!!! You are too funny!

So glad the bully was removed. When we had that situation they wanted to move my son to a different class...crazy!

This is my last post before bedtime. You left me grinning at the end of my day.

Thumbs... too funny.

And I agree with your mom about southern spring. I worry what will happen if we don't get some cold or something. If it's this warm now, what in the world will April feel like?

(I really am praying about your GS. I'm not just saying that. I even reminded God today that He could make schools 1 and 2 change their minds if that's His will.)

I'm a little late to the Chatty Show this week - sorry! I've caught up reading, but I'll start with comments on this post.

Praying for GS. I got bullied quite bad in 7th grade - it's awful. I hope that this situation gets resolved quickly. I try to tell myself that the bully has been hurt in some way - that's why the need to lash out. But, it's still wrong.
