Another year has passed and we're all a little older.
Last summer felt hotter and winter seems much colder.
There was a time not long ago when life was quite a blast.
Now I fully understand about 'Living in the Past'
We used to go to weddings, football games and lunches.
Now we go to funeral homes, and after-funeral brunches.
We used to have hangovers, from parties that were gay.
Now we suffer body aches and while the night away.
We used to go out dining, and couldn't get our fill.
Now we ask for doggie bags, come home and take a pill.
We used to go to nightclubs and drink a little booze.
Now we stay home at night and watch the evening news.
That, my friend is how life is and now my tale is told.

So, enjoy each day and live it up... before you're too damned old!

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.
I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.
I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.
One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!
I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in.
It's an age thing.

Here is a riddle for you:
You give someone a $1. You are this person's brother. The person is not your brother.
Who is it?
HERE YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN ICE CREAM CONE:
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

ReplyDeleteHi Sandie ~~ I like the week puller sign. When I was in the Army doing basic training all of us recruits pulled the weeds and topped the grass. I never saw a lawn mower the whole time, just rows and rows of troups squatted down making their way across the grass triming it by hand.
ReplyDeleteThe person getting the dollar is the sister. My sister made a killing off me, her five-year-older brother.
