Tuesday "Tails"

GOOD MORNING - This guy was caught red handed!

I can't imagine anyone of any age not enjoying this! In an amazing video clip an American robin lays her four eggs in a hanging basket and the home owners set up a camera to film the results. To see it all, click here.
Thank you Monica.

Now this is not a video is is a group of pictures of 36 animals - adorable animals - that look angry - you will love them because they are funny!

  http://www.buzzfeed.com/expresident/animals-who-are-extremely-disappointed-in-you

Is this the illusive Okapi?  NO!.  But this is how we all looked Sunday night after working on a term paper on Okapis - an animal from the Congo in the rainforest - their closes relatives are the giraffes.  They have oily hair to protect them from the rain.  Their legs have stripes.  They have the longest tongue of all other animals so that they can reach into a tree and wrap their tongues around the leaves and pull them off to eat. More than you want to know - right?

This is an Okapi.

Sandie,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog...it is nice to meet you! I think the Okapi was made from all the parts that no one else wanted-a funny looking creature but cute because well, ever hear of that saying 'he's so ugly, he's cute?' that's what I think of. Love he animal video...animals of any kind definitely wormtheir way into our hearts!

So I finally figured out where my husband gets his clothing style. He apparently learned to dress from an Okapi.

Black striped pants... brown shirt...brown striped tie.

OK, maybe he's not quite that bad, but that first face looks a lot like him when he gets out of bed.

I will go off to work smiling after seeing all this! Thank you!

I never had heard of okapis until you mentioned it, Sandie; thanks for a mini lesson on them! What a "pain" though with a term paper; you wonder the purpose of it down the line and for such a young grade!

hope today is a merry one!

Thoroughly enjoyed the robin video!! I love birds ♥
I've been watching the live cams on Herons (who have survived Owl attacks), Eagles, Hawks, and poor little phoebe, the hummingbird who got her babies and nest stolen by a hawk. The links are on my blog if your interested.
So fascinating to watch. Thanks so much for shraing the Robins!!

I've enjoyed my chickadees nesting in the blue bird box - the mom and dad coming and going, bringing in food. I'll miss them, but actually hope they fly away soon so I can use my back porch. It's still got pollen on it - I don't want to disturb them.

The Okapi looks like a zebra that went horribly wrong! I loved the animal pictures, especially the baby meerkats.

Forgot to say I loved the baby robins!!! Looked like both parents were feeding them, and looked like the mom was shocked to come to the nest and find them gone!

Me again ;) I was wondering if it was OK to share the Robin video on my blog, giving you credit, of course.
Just let me know, if not I understand.

Loved the Robins. My system played it thru, very unusual. I have always wondered how they know which one ate last? I am amazed at the little wide open mouths.

thanks for a good read.
