Saturday Service Infomation

Okay here is a site with over 6000 foods and all there nutritional values if you are interested:

My car book says to roll down the windows to let out all the hot air before turning on A/C.

Car Airconditioning - No wonder more folks are dying from cancer than ever before. We wonder where this stuff comes from but here is an example that explains a lot of the cancer causing incidents.

Many people are in their cars first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, 7 days a week. As I read this, it makes me feel guilty and ill. Please pass this on to as many people as possible. Guess it’s not
too late to make some changes.

Please do NOT turn on A/C as soon as you enter the car.

Open the windows after you enter your car and then turn ON the AC after a couple of minutes.

Here's why: According to research, the car dashboard, seats, air freshener emit Benzene, a Cancer causing toxin (carcinogen - take time to observe  the smell of heated plastic in your car).

In addition to causing cancer, Benzene poisons your bones, causes anemia  and reduces white blood cells. Prolonged exposure will cause Leukemia, increasing the risk of cancer. Can also cause miscarriage.
Acceptable Benzene level indoors is 50 mg per sq. ft. A car parked indoors with windows closed will contain 400-800 mg of Benzene.

If parked outdoors under the sun at a temperature above 60 degrees F, the Benzene level goes up to 2000-4000 mg, 40 times the acceptable level.

People who get into the car, keeping windows closed will inevitably inhale, in quick succession, excessive amounts of the toxin. Benzene is a toxin that affects your kidney and liver. What's worse, it is
extremely difficult for your body to expel this toxic stuff.

So friends, please open the windows and door of your car - give time for interior to air out - dispel the deadly stuff - before you enter.

This is what says. It is not the air conditioning in the car but the Benzene producing agents that cause cancer.  This is a some true some false report.

Still think it is interesting to stay informed.
Thanks Debby at Just Breathe.

Do you have any areas that hurt - maybe you could have someone rub your feet in the right spot.

Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.
Now this is something I think personally and do I eat all natural organic foods - NO - do I think I should YES - but it is expensive and very time consuming to eat this way - but try at least to do some eating good - every little bit helps.

Love, sandie

Awwwwwwww, just seeing those feet makes me relax. [no, I don't have a foot fetish] But, I can just imagine having a foot massage. Mmmmmmm.

That car interior is scary. And I hear ya loud and clear about the 'organic' foods being expensive. But, I must go back now and click on the dirty link you left for us.

Have a great day Sandie.

I believe when your time is up, your time is up. God is in control and eating healthy organic food all day won't stop that. Okay I think it's sensible to try and be healthy but God had a plan whether we like it or not. :)

Have a wonderful Saturday. :)

ps.... the link to the dirty foods isn't working. :o(

That foot chart was really interesting. So many things in our bodies are interelated and we usually don't ever get the connections.

Sandra said...

so next time i get a sinus headache, i will get bob to massage the tips of my toes and if he massages number 9 i can stop my thyroid pills. LOL i do know a foot massage feels fantastic.

Fiona said...

Hi Sandie,

The foot chart was really good. There is probably a lot of truth in the fact that parts of your body are reflected in your feet.

Article on ac in cars is interesting.

I don't have air con in my car as it is never too warm here and I would have no need for it!

Wishing you a lovely weekend Sandie

Oh my what a load of good info there in your post today. I know that I don't eat healthy enough. I have a well rounded diet that includes some food pretending to be real food. I had seen a similar chart some time back that was for the hand, not the foot, and they said about the same things. Massaging different parts of the hand affected different parts of the body. Interesting for sure! We are getting some much needed rain here this morning. Hope your Saturday is a super one!

I'll give the Bounce a try for the shower and yep, I was aware of the heated plastic (it's like those who microwave in plastic, drink from plastic water bottles stored in car)...:)JP

And you ended with one of my favorite verses too! Have a great weekend Sandie!

There is so much surrounding us that is harmful it is positively horrendous.

We have used the foot chart before when my daughter use to get ear aches and with my shoulder/neck injury. It is amazing how that part of the foot will be sore. I think it points to how awesome our Creator is!

Miss Debbie said...

My hubby has always "let the hot air out" just so the a/c could cool quicker. Didn't know he might be saving our lives!! I certainly will pass that along to him. Hope your day is filled with unexpected blessings!

Jim said...

Hi Sandie! I love to have my feet rubbed! I would never show your chart to Mrs. Jim or she might be rubbing my shoulders instead.

I like your calorie list. I always have to Google for them. Now, if I bookmark (favorite) them I will know where I can find this good one.

You picked a good verse for us today, it is a Good One. [:)]

Great info this AM! Thanks for sharing!

Non food pretending to be food, that's the problem. I'm off to the Farmers Market!

TexWisGirl said...

the benzene is very interesting. good to know.

jack69 said...

Just stopped by to say HI. I smile about the 'organic foods'. not making fun just something I know personally.
I knew a man who bought everything at his 'Home grown Organic Vegges stand' at the wholesale farmers mkt. (Wholesale farmers market meaning from Mexico/Florida anyplace.) He then splashed dirt on the clean veggies, to give them the 'home grown but didn't have time to clean it' look and sold everything as organic.
So if you expect organic either you know the person or grow it yourself. Tough, but true!

Sandie you do have the most interesting information! Thanks for always having our backs girlfriend! Hugs, Linda

I'm a firm believer in reflexology and this is the best diagram I've seen yet. I always learn something when I visit, Sandie. Love that.

Jean said...

Sandie, whether that report about the toxins in the car is completely accurate or not, it just makes sense, doesn't it! Thanks for passing that along to us!

Paula said...

I have read about the opening the windows of the car so I have been trying to do it. What worries me is John leaves bottled water in his truck and then drinks it the next day. he won't listen to me and I know it has to be bad for him.

Annmarie Pipa said...

interesting! I wonder what to believe? I'll stick with believing Philippians.

Jill said...

So many interesting items again today! I'm so guilty about the air on the car. I will now try to be better. Thank you!

Lynn said...

I love that Philippians verse. When I was staying at the hospital with my mom in February, I ran down to the cafeteria very early to get breakfast to bring back to the room to eat - I was always afraid I'd miss the doctor. The woman at the cash register asked if she could share something with me and repeated that verse. I told her that she couldn't have said that to me at a better time.

Tammy@Simple Southern Happiness said...

You are full of info. I always open my windows a few minutes before the AC is turned on.

HUM! I think I will get hubby to rub my feet and get all the benefits from it and feel relaxed too.

Stay cool, its awful. Was out putting out a mister for the birds but I kept dancing in it and they kept watching me!...

Michaele said...

Well, I am glad I always followed my mothers advice - leave the windows open to blow the heat out : )

Debbie said...

I am so glad to read this so I can start opening my windows. I'm sick when I think of the amount of time my husband spends in the car.

I do like the reflexology chart and have actually tried it. My problem is that the whole body hurts. So... I really just need the whole foot massaged too. LOL

My poor husband. That's all I'll say.

Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti said...

These are all wonderful tips, Sandie, especially the instructiosn not to turn on the AC right away! It is scary all the poisons we are exposed to all the time and don't know it!

Tanna at The Brick Street Bungalow said...

I don't think there is anything that feels much better than a good foot rub... makes me relax like a wet noodle!! That Benzene thing is pretty scary... especially considering how hot the cars get in Texas and all across the south!! Thanks, Sandie. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. blessings ~ tanna

Beatrice P. Boyd said...

Hi Sandie, thanks for the info about NOT turning on the AC in the car first thing. I have been telling Grenville that IF he wants to this, he should at least have the windows open at the same I will have to get him to read this info.

Dolores said...

Okay, I'm definitely trying # 2 on the neck hurts a lot.

My favorite scripture.. it helps me through each day

thanks for the info about the AC and windows Sandie!! I love that scripture too!

Dee said...

I think there may be some foot rubbing at my house tonight. LOL The air conditioner may be the reason why we have so many bad drivers on the road..we are all being poisoned. :(

Jean said...

I really like the photo of the Swans taken by your friend Jean (love her name...btw.)
Great info about the need to allow the hot air to escape in one's car.
Hope you are staying cool during this heat wave!

Arkansas Patti said...

I wonder if at my age it isn't too late to start opening the car windows. Guess I will start anyway, it can't hurt.
That must be why foot massages feel so darn goooood. They please your whole body.

jack69 said...

For some reason I want to massage my feet!!!!

Love ya!

Debbie said...

i massage my feet all the time, mostly because my feet are so dry!!

Shug said...

Thanks for the link to the nutritional values site. I'm a Weight Watchers alum, so I'll be bookmarking this site!

Interesting info about airing out the car. I'll do that from now on. Just another reason to walk more, drive less.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Godsgalnj said...

My parents do that often when starting the car... mainly because the first blast smelled, lol. But now I know why it's good to do that!

Love the reflexology chart!

Susan said...

Hi Sandie...Lots of good information. I have been buying organic fruits and salad greens as well. Cannot stand the thought of all those chemicals on the regular stuff.

Sandie, I just found swan #4 in your header. Thought there were only three but I see a little head of a 4th! Hadn't seen that little fellow before. Susan

LOVING that Reflexology Chart.

Interesting information on the hot car and air conditioning. I always either roll down the windows or open the door and let the air run before I leave a parking lot.

I'm going to try the Bounce sheets on the shower doors, hope it works.

Ann said...

all good information. I read the snopes link because I had heard about the car thing before and wondered if it was really true or not.

Tree Hugger - Suzan said...

Thank you for the valuable car air condioning information. Never thought of this - but so true. So is that "new car smell" really bad for you??
Will have to check deeper!!
