Monday

This week is going to be a bit different for me because I have so many things to blog about – what all that has been going on this summer here in Georgia!
So just share some good times with me this week.

Mondays are about food - and what goes with food but friends?  So I have just the photos to go with today.

My friend Jean's visit... we started out at a new French restaurant Geri had told us about . Thank you Geri.

Now this is a new bakery and breakfast and lunch restaurant in Marietta, GA.

This is a picture of just one of their fabulous desserts. Chocolate of course.

The breads looked so good with that flour on there - yummy!

Now what do you think Jean and I had for dessert - I will give you a hint.Daughter had something else.

Jean is an avid gardener - her yard at home is gorgeous!  She knew the names of all the plants without having to read the names - but did you know there is a chocolate mint?

The three of us on a hot, hot, HOT GA day - Jean looks so refreshed!  How do you like my tennis shoes?

Now this is a funny story - she had just brought out her IPhone and read the blog of the day.  How it talked about her being my angel here on earth.  She opens her purse and gives me a magnet that says the exact same thing I had said on my blog!

Here it is.  Isn't God amazing?

I worked a long time for this photograph of this bee.  And no one got hurt not even the bee.

They had an art shop and I was thinking of a particular blog friend who I think will like this. lol

Jean did this on purpose!  She is so clever and smart.

Okay for another friend of mine a bird lover.

Are you tired yet? This is for my son - we are UGA bulldogs here!

Now this is a bracelet made of Barbie Shoes - do you remember when?

Do you know what in the world Chatty is doing here? I am looking at a bug bite! Some bug fell into my dress and bit me and it was red and swollen.  I have no shame.
This was last weeks adventure with my angel and my daughter in HotLanta!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Thank you Jean for always being there - even over the miles you are there.  And daughter I loves yah too.
Reach out and be there for somebody today - we all need a hug or a friend.

I had all kinds of comments to make as I read this. THEN, I saw Sandie checking out her own bosom in public and forgot them all.

You do realize that that photo would be a great contribution to the notecard party some month, right?

I'm so glad you had fun! I love Roswell. Quaint is indeed the word for it.

Nothing like friends to create a good time and it looks like you had a blast.

I think your dessert was probably so good, you're looking to see if any crumbs fell down your shirt and could be rescued before you stand up and lose them!

It is WONDERFUL to be able to be with Bestest Friends!!
The best way to make your kids roll their eyes and say "MOM!" is to wear a napkin -- in public. I always drop or drip food down my front and I'm tired of spotting my tops when I get home.
See you soon Sandie!

I think you were better to take the bug clip on. I told you about and you got for your Grandson. Even though it said not inside use. Your case. It was a MUST. I can see now. So your not even in the country. What happened girly??

Now if that was me girly. You were a modest lady in that picture. I would have had my hand down my blouse and grabed that buggy Roooo. Perhaps he was gone or were you looking to think he might be hiding in the folding doors of your body???. I know. Naughty me thinking.. Well they say if you are small in that area. It would of slipped to the ground. Shant wory. In your case he bit you and he is not gone or MABE???. He got in between the folding doors. Yikes. Next time wear what your friend wears. Higher top to be on the safe side. Jean she looks like a breath of Sunshine. A pretty smile on her face or is she laughing at you. Ha,ha. No I am laughing. She is too much of a lady to laugh at you but she could be laughing with you. Only you sure dont look like your laughing in that moment.

Love your Blog as usual.

Your friend Jean she looks a delight of Sunshine. Her eyes sparkle and her smile is addictive. it was nice to have her for those days. True friendship is wonderful.

Hi Sandie ~~ You had a really good day didn't you! I loved reading about all you did.

Bug bite and now shame ~ Tsk, tsk. :)
I went out this morning and got misquito bites. I have shame but am wearing shorts and my ankles are where the bites are. So I can scratch even with shame.

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate shavings ~ I love that! (Mrs. Jim is FRENCH)

The pig picture ~ Thank you, I hope that picture was for me as I like pigs.

I grow chocolate mint every year. To tell you th truth, I do not know what to do with it, but I do love to cut it and just take in its aroma. Mighty good!

I don't think you could have gotten me out of that French Restaurant. When I feel the "big one" coming on, I want someone to quick drive me to a place like that so I can die surrounded by the things I love.

SquirrelQueen said...

Well it's obvious you gals know how to have a fun day. Roswell used to be one of my favorite destinations ... many moons ago.

The Barbie show bracelet is so cute. There were probably that many of those around our house when we were growing up.

I hope you dispatched the bug properly!

I often look down my shirt, but it's usually to make sure everything is still there. Lol.

Love seeing you and your "girls" Sandie. What a fun day and I enjoyed your photography! xo

You peering at your bug bite reminded me of a time I was chaperoning for my kid's church camp. A wasp crawled up my jeans and I jumped up from the bench on the sidelines of their volley ball game, pulled off my jeans and shook the wasp out. The game had stopped and my poor children watched in horror and tried to pretend I was not their mother.
