Sunday - my gift to you
MOVE
THE MOUSE AROUND AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS.
Here is
an amazing bit of technology that you would never see in person, as you would
NEVER be alone in the room. It is ALWAYS VERY CROWDED and of course you can't
see Michelangelo's artwork close up as you can here. This is especially
spectacular if you have a large high-definition screen! Too many details to view
on an iPhone.
TO VIEW
EVERY PART OF THE MICHELANGELO'S MASTERPIECE, JUST CLICK AND DRAG YOUR ARROW IN
THE DIRECTION YOU WISH TO SEE.
In the
lower left, click on the plus (+) to move closer, on the minus (-) to move away.
Choir is thrown in free.
MOVE
THE ARROW AND YOU WILL SEE EVERY PART OF THE CHAPEL.
This
virtual tour of the Sistine Chapel is incredible. Apparently done by Villanova
at the request of the Vatican .
WOW!! What an amazing site of the Sistine Chapel. I had to copy it and email it to my friends. I took my girls and a group of friends to Italy and Greece several summers ago. As you said -- we were shoulder to shoulder with humanity. The guards were yelling "NO PHOTO!" "NO PHOTO!" every couple of minutes. Lovely! Happy Sunday!
Sandie that is so amazing, wish I could go see the Sistine Chapel, just imagine every single paint stroke, and the time it took, when you think about it,nothing short of a pure miracle!
Thanks, since I don't see a trip to Italy any time soon. I've seen the Sistine Chapel twice and could happily see it another thousand times. We studied it in Art History in College and seeing it in person was a complete thrill. Hope you have a sweet Sunday.
Thx for sharing......looks great on an iPad......can't wait to see it on my larger screen monitor! Hope u are having an enjoyable day. Getting ready to make dinner for my youngest son.....he's joining us tonight for dinner time. Sunday dinners are the best!
Hope you had a good day. Love the Sistine Chapel and the beauty of the paintings. I cannot imagine the detail, time, talent and effort gong into that many beautiful paintings.
Also the imagination!
Thanks, I am falling asleep at the controls, glad I am not driving!! LOL
That was beautiful! I'm enjoying the music. Still have it on! Liked the list from yesterday's post, especially the last one. Going to try and remember that!
Hi Sandie, Beautiful post, I enjoyed touring the inspirational Sistine Chapel.
note- I can't see your picture either but maybe it will appear later. My follower count went up so I assume you are following. I am following you also.
Wow that was awesome thank you so much for the link, loved it so much and since I will never get to see it in person I think this was the next best think...in some ways a little better since you can get a better up close view if that makes any sense.

I saw it on a winter day when the crowds were somewhat less than if the weather had been good - still pretty full though! Too, too beautiful.

couldn't get the virtual tour to work for me. Will try it in another browser. Will be excited to visit.
You have seen it in person? It must be amazing!!
Oh, very sweet. I usually come here on Monday ...missed for the Sabbath. Thanks. Mary
That is an amazing way to view the chapel. I am also very impressed by the technology that went into producing those views.
The banana bread recipe sounds so good, I haven't made any in ages. I need to get some bananas.
