GOD REST THE PARENTS' SOULS AND THEIR CHILDREN'S HEARTS -
Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
When 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"Where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"This is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
Those children all flew into the arms of their King
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
One small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
Then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"May this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"Come now my children, let me show you around."
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

That's wonderful quote by JK Rowling.
I liked that poem. I am sure Jesus welcomed each and everyone of those little ones last Friday. I do hope he is allowed back into schools; I'm sure parents and teachers and students are praying for him to protect them there. We need to do the same I do believe.
betty
Amen and God Bless the little Children and all who were lost that day!

What a touching post. All those little angles in heaven in God's loving arms. May the dear Lord heal and comfort the broken hearts.

Tears filled my eyes as I read this post.
Lovely. The sadness this month is overwhelming.
Lovely! Thank you.
Great poem and great tribute, Sandie.... I heard the neatest song this morning on FB.. The title is "Take Back America" I think---and it's a song talking about all that we as a country have lost... We all do want OUR country back!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

OH SANDIE!!
That was just beautiful. My eyes are flooded with tears.
"I AM STILL THE LIGHT."
Oh yes, amen. What thrilling comfort is found in those words.
GOD BLESS everyone...
Just beautiful thoughts Sandie. My heart and prayers go out to the families in Newtown. My posts have been very spasmodic lately due to hubbies illness but did post today and wanted to come over to wish you a Merry Christmas. Hugs, LJ
AMEN!
Beautiful. The only comfort found in death is knowing our loved ones go into the presence of our Father. Those darling children and adults are experiencing a joy and peace now that we here will not fathom until we also reach heaven.
Hugs~

Lovely quote.
This tragedy is so close to home.
My daughter's director has two children. One of them goes to Sandyhook. Both her children are safe. However the mom is going to take time off until the end of the year atleast.
Beautiful and so sweet!

Once the period of grieving passes this truth will help loved ones get from one day to the next.
This is a wonderful poem about such a tragedy here on earth. I am glad you found it and shared.
..
I really love this...this is such a powerful poem...
And the quote too! And the pic. I just love it. I really can't have the merriest Christmas in light of the reality of these parents and families. I rejoice in my Savior but my heart is weeping with those who are weeping for their lost children. Love you.
It's so nice.
What a beautiful and touching post Sandie. I love the JK Rowling quote.
This has been all too sad, I just can't imagine myself as a young parent sending my child off to school and then they will never return home from that day...
But, Sandie...I will turn to a whole 'nother subject today
Greetings!!!
Just popping in this morning to send along my wishes to you and yours...that you have a very happy holiday season.
Will see you again in 2013, when I return to blogging after my hiatus, enjoying the company of my sister from Colorado. I haven't seen her in nearly 10 years. This will be a treat.
Happy Holidays...love Anni
