Chocolate Almond Treasures

EASY PEASY! 

1/2 cup sliced almonds - divided
1 cup almond butter
3/3 cup sugar free substitute - I use NuNaturals
1 large egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup melted dark chocolate

Finely chop 1/4 cup almonds or use almond powder
Add to bowl with the next 4 ingredients and mix until dough forms

Shape dough into 20 balls
Place balls 2"  a part on lined baking sheet
Gently press balls to flatten

Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 8 minutes or until done

Let cool on baking sheet

Top with melted chocolate and remaining slice almonds. (The picture does not show the almonds).

You are going to love this - it's from a company called Vitacost.

First of all this company was more then generous.  However, this review like all the other reviews is my own opinion and not that of any other and I was not paid to do it.  I do think though, I knew like the others - that I would love them.
I've have honestly loved everything I've reviewed so far.  I guess if I don't like a product I wouldn't do a review.

I received a product called CALM - Scottish Oatmeal - Garbanzo Bean Flour - Kind Chocolate and Spice and Chocolate..

I put the old hubs on the CALM right away. It produces stress relief.  I tell you from the very first drink he made -a raspberry lemon and you can get other forms - he loved it right away and has taken it consistently.  Thank goodness in all this garage sale stress!  It is a form of magnesium. The product Calm balances your calcium levels and restores healthy magnesium levels in your body. My husband is sleeping better than he has in a long , long time.

Now the Scottish Oatmeal - it is a very oatmeal I think.  It is not big nuggets like Steel Cut oatmeal - and it;s better than regular oatmeal because well it's extremely fibrous...It is a little pasty just like you would want to clean the fat out of the body (cholesterol) - that is my opinion. I got to the doctor in July and can't wait to see my blood work.

Now the Kind bars - I have always eaten them because as a diabetic - they are the perfect snack food.  It's a natural way to reduce sugar with only 5g.  It's nutritionally rich. low glycemic, delicious ingredients - with 7 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein.  You have your protein there to go with the sugar grams and fiber.  I asked for the flavor Dark Chocolate Chili Almond.  And let me tell you it was delicious.........................................not too spicy at all.  Just a little mild kick at the end.  My hubs doesn't like chocolate - but he ate the whole bar! This is the best tasting bar I have ever had.

The other product Garbanzo Bean Powder.  I have not used this yet - but I have a recipe to use it and i will make it this week and give you the recipe next week.  Why not use flour - why use bean powder - where there is the benefit for diabetics - it is GF - etc.

And before I tried all these I had bought Sugar Free Whey Protein - they have it in chocolate and vanilla- on my own.  Great for diabetics!

I hope they ask me to do another review!  lol
