Happy Monday to you!
Question of the day:
What do you get from -
TWO ALIENS!
And one crazy granny!
Friends Remind me NOT to do that again.
Oh yeah - you know what else I did this weekend - that baby is my great great nephew. The little girl is my great niece. The man - my nephew. The hospital was in Rome (not Italy) GA. About an hour and half from me.
And then being in Rome, GA - my son and daughter had gone to Berry College for a couple years - is the largest campus in the world - 29,000 acres. Yet a small school. Deer run free. Thought we'd take the grandson where his mom went to school.
The history of Berry College is amazing. This is a working farm on campus. She stayed a college for poor kids years ago. Got some famous backers - like Ford. And every student that goes there works somewhere as part of the education.
My grandson loved the deer. Chick Fil A also has Camp Winship there.
It was a busy weekend for sure.
That about sums up my weekend and why I'm a little behind! Sorry.
More Mexico pictures. Plaza Del Carmen
I believe this was in Cancun - Hard Rock Cafe
It was a nice hotel and a great beach.
And Grandson loved the food - of course notice it was all sweets.
That is all I have to say. I love my boy and he loves me! Love, Disco

NICE POST, ENJOY YOUR WEEK.
Love the story of the college- is your grandson interested in maybe going there someday?
Great post, Sandie. Congrats on a new family member. That is an amazing school and what a great way to run it. xo Diana
you know i love the disco and boy pic... lots and lots... I was in Rome once, but only for a few hours... it is nice place.. that ice cream thingy in Mexico is calling my name. and what were you thinking for a TWO night stayover???
Giggling at the alien sleep over. Admit it: You had fun. Weary, exhaused, burned out fun... but fun.
My sister went to Shorter in Rome. I have always thought it was so beautiful there. Wouldn't it be neat for your GS to go to Berry like his mom? (They give grrrrrreat scholarships!!)
Congrats on your new great nephew. I hope you are having a restful Monday after your busy weekend. You deserve a medal after a two-night sleepover.
I loved the laugh and the lift. So very true on all counts.
Have a terrific Monday honey. Big hugs. ☺
Disco, you and your boy are so lucky to have each other, plus you win my vote for cutest couple on the face of the earth! Gosh, you have had a really bust weekend. The one picture cracks me up because the alien head has fallen down over the boys face! I have never heard of this school, but such a lovely idea, and what a cute baby deer! How many students can they take at one time and do they have dorms?
Amen, to that lift!
Have a great week!
Not only is Berry College a beautiful campus, but it is a really good school. Loved the pictures of the aliens and those of Mexico too! Have a good Monday - rest! lol
Busy weekend my friend! Love the photos!
hugs,
Linda
I have several friends who also grad. from Berry College! They have been married in the chapel and have spoken of the beauty of the campus. I must visit. I'm with your grandson --- sweet tooth queen here!! The main part of the meal is the dessert
Heh... a Barn... you weren't flying by:)
That is quite a pair of aliens. It must have been one crazy, silly sleepover. Disco is lucky to have such a loyal boy for a friend.
you survived! :)
love the deer!
Good Monday morning to you too Sandie- hope you have a fabulous week!
I didn't know about Berry college, so cool! Glad you survived the sleep over.:)
Congrats on your new great nephew. :)
Love your laugh and lift!
hugs,
Marie
I love all of your little active figures. It looks like pretty country. It is cooler than what it should be for July and August coming up, here in Nebraska. It is raining now which we needed badly. It has been a very hot summer but stayed cold for so long gardens are all behind. Lovely family.
I CAN ONLY SMILE, I love the verse by the Apostle Paul.
I smile because I like the verse.
I smile because I REMEMBER sleep overs.
I smiled at the whole entry, it was good. I lvoe the ictures of Cancun, never been there (BUT I have been to Rome Gerogia).
Interesting about the college. The Lift is right on.
I smiled because the entry was full of Doggies!!
((HUGS)) from cool michigan.
I have been MIA - but I enjoy your blog! I, too, had a sleepover with my grandkids this weekend. Sleep? what's that? No sleeping with grandkids!
That college sounds interesting. Never heard of it.
Enjoyed your pictures today.
Nothing like a new baby! Have a great week. Debby
I don't think I ever told you this but I 'almost' took a job at Rome, GA --when I ultimately took the job at Hendersonville, TN (in 2000)..,. I interviewed at a big Methodist Church in Rome --and almost took the job there. I loved Rome --and that area. BUT--IF I had have taken THAT job, I would not have met George. SO???????
Congrats on the new baby in the family.
Sounds like you had a 'busy' weekend.. Yipes--better you than me! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
if you had keep driving on that road to berry you would have gone to our small town
Sounds like a busy, good weekend, Grammie. Good for you, hosting that two night sleepover.
The Mexico photos look nice, too.
Thanks for sharing. Susan
Beautiful post....loved the pics and quotes and what a GREAT College!
God Bless the new baby and his family. I am so glad that you had a good busy weekend.
What a busy weekend! Congrats on the new addition to the family!
Wow you were busy! Congrats on the great great little one! :)
Happy Monday!
When my kids were younger I never minded the boys spending the night because they were always pretty quiet it was the girls that drove me nuts.
Love the picture of that beach. I want to be there right now
Berry is a beautiful campus and Rome is an interesting city. We had friends that lived there for a few years. We always enjoyed our visits to the "rolling hills" of North GA!
Hahaha... so your Grandson loves sweets. So does mine. They try to limit him, but it is a losing battle.
Wonderful post...I really like your pretty blog.^^
Maybe follow each other on bloglovin?
Let me know follow you then back.
Lovely greets Nessa

I LOVE the LIFT quote. So true in so many ways. Also loved seeing Disco, the new baby and those cute aliens.
A lovely post. And a new baby, too. :)
In my next life, I want to come back as Disco!

Wow, you were busy! I was born and grew up in Atlanta so I am familiar with Berry College. A fantastic and blessed place. So glad that your daughter was able to experience Berry.
Everyone is looking good.
Have a blessed week, Ginger
Congrats! How lovely to have a new addition to the family.
Love all the photos!
You've been a busy lady! Congrats on the new baby! I enjoyed your photos, especially of your boy and his dog. Have a good week and get rested up!
That slumber party sounds fun. :) My downstairs neighbor had a lot of racket going on in his apartment - well into the night - a few weeks ago. Hilarity, doors slamming, voices shouting in fun. I hated to say anything, but I knocked on the door and mentioned that there is not supposed to be excessive noise after 11pm and could they keep it down? The adult in the condo whirled around and looked at the two young teens standing behind him, looking guilty. Turns out all that noise was caused by two young teens! So I have first hand experience. :) I don't know how the adult didn't hear all that, but I think he might not have been home.
Dear Sandie, It looks like your travelers are enjoying!! It is o.k. the sweets thats what vacations are for.
Congratulations on being a great aunt.
The lift and the laugh are perfection and true. Blessings dear friend. Catherine xoxo
The college I went to had wild deer on campus as it was located in the middle of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
The biggest college campus I've seen was probably Rutgers (or Harvard) but Rutgers literally takes up the entire city of New Bruswick (it seems). Plus there's two other locations, one in Newark and another in Camden.
