Mondays Fragments

Happy Monday to you!

Question of the day:

What do you get from -

TWO ALIENS!

And one crazy granny!

Friends Remind me NOT to do that again.

Oh yeah - you know what else I did this weekend - that baby is my great great nephew.  The little girl is my great niece. The man - my nephew.  The hospital was in Rome (not Italy) GA.  About an hour and half from me.

And then being in Rome, GA - my son and daughter had gone to Berry College for a couple years - is the largest campus in the world - 29,000 acres.  Yet a small school.  Deer run free.  Thought we'd take the grandson where his mom went to school.

The history of Berry College is amazing.  This is a working farm on campus.  She stayed a college for poor kids years ago.  Got some famous backers - like Ford.  And every student that goes there works somewhere as part of the education.

My grandson loved the deer.   Chick Fil A also has Camp Winship there.
It was a busy weekend for sure.

That about sums up my weekend and why I'm a little behind!  Sorry.

More Mexico pictures.  Plaza Del Carmen

I believe this was in Cancun - Hard  Rock Cafe

It was a nice hotel and a great beach.

And Grandson loved the food - of course notice it was all sweets.

Over and out!

That is all I have to say.  I love my boy and he loves me!   Love, Disco

Giggling at the alien sleep over. Admit it: You had fun. Weary, exhaused, burned out fun... but fun.

My sister went to Shorter in Rome. I have always thought it was so beautiful there. Wouldn't it be neat for your GS to go to Berry like his mom? (They give grrrrrreat scholarships!!)

Disco, you and your boy are so lucky to have each other, plus you win my vote for cutest couple on the face of the earth! Gosh, you have had a really bust weekend. The one picture cracks me up because the alien head has fallen down over the boys face! I have never heard of this school, but such a lovely idea, and what a cute baby deer! How many students can they take at one time and do they have dorms?

Amen, to that lift!
Have a great week!

I love all of your little active figures. It looks like pretty country. It is cooler than what it should be for July and August coming up, here in Nebraska. It is raining now which we needed badly. It has been a very hot summer but stayed cold for so long gardens are all behind. Lovely family.

I CAN ONLY SMILE, I love the verse by the Apostle Paul.

I smile because I like the verse.
I smile because I REMEMBER sleep overs.

I smiled at the whole entry, it was good. I lvoe the ictures of Cancun, never been there (BUT I have been to Rome Gerogia).

Interesting about the college. The Lift is right on.

I smiled because the entry was full of Doggies!!
((HUGS)) from cool michigan.

I don't think I ever told you this but I 'almost' took a job at Rome, GA --when I ultimately took the job at Hendersonville, TN (in 2000)..,. I interviewed at a big Methodist Church in Rome --and almost took the job there. I loved Rome --and that area. BUT--IF I had have taken THAT job, I would not have met George. SO???????

Congrats on the new baby in the family.

Sounds like you had a 'busy' weekend.. Yipes--better you than me! ha
Hugs,
Betsy

When my kids were younger I never minded the boys spending the night because they were always pretty quiet it was the girls that drove me nuts.
Love the picture of that beach. I want to be there right now

Berry is a beautiful campus and Rome is an interesting city. We had friends that lived there for a few years. We always enjoyed our visits to the "rolling hills" of North GA!

Hahaha... so your Grandson loves sweets. So does mine. They try to limit him, but it is a losing battle.

That slumber party sounds fun. :) My downstairs neighbor had a lot of racket going on in his apartment - well into the night - a few weeks ago. Hilarity, doors slamming, voices shouting in fun. I hated to say anything, but I knocked on the door and mentioned that there is not supposed to be excessive noise after 11pm and could they keep it down? The adult in the condo whirled around and looked at the two young teens standing behind him, looking guilty. Turns out all that noise was caused by two young teens! So I have first hand experience. :) I don't know how the adult didn't hear all that, but I think he might not have been home.

The college I went to had wild deer on campus as it was located in the middle of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

The biggest college campus I've seen was probably Rutgers (or Harvard) but Rutgers literally takes up the entire city of New Bruswick (it seems). Plus there's two other locations, one in Newark and another in Camden.
