Mondays Tidbits

Monday Monday - Do you remember that song by the Mama's and the Papa's - those were the good old days - I think I am a hippie in my old age!  Back when the real hippie movement was on - I was trying to get my life in order.  Now I have the time to be a happy hippie.  Okay short and sweet Monday as I am still watching the grandson full time this week.

A margarita  for and adult and ice cream for a kid.
.I think I like the ice cream more myself too.
Coconut Ice Cream - (yuck - I'd have chocolate)
More pictures of Mexico.

New great great nephew!

Isn't he sweet?

Oh yeah - for those of you keeping up with my I mean the princesses bed saga - the new one that was $1100 went out for $500 at 1 pm Saturday and the newest came in Saturday at 3 pm.  I forget the number of changes now - but THIS IS THE BED.

THE LAUGH:

Love your pictures this morning. I was never into the hippie thing back then either, but now that I am old, I probably could be classified as one! lol At least a flower child...

Manas and Papas are one of my all time favorite groups. I was a hippie wannabe back in the 60s but was too inhibited to let loose and wear flowers in my hair and go to San Francisco. :) Lovely little great-great nephew. Have a great week. BTW - I love anything coconut!

Oh nice and sweet and fun today. Oh, you are so nice to me!!!! (HUGS) TO YOU!!! I love the LIFT today. I always see eye to eye with C.S. Lewis.

When I eat ice cream, I eat coconut ice cream sweetened with agave.

I don't consider myself a hippie, but I do like the Mamas and the Papas - I like all folk music :-)

Your great great nephew is precious. All little banies are so precious to me. Sigh. Their innocence and love just wraps around my heart strings.

I still have that hippy streak in me at 63!! So glad the princess has another bed and I hope this one is the one!

Aww to the puppy with the cupcake. I baked a strawberry cake once, my only time making that flavor and the dog ate it. I made a German Chocolate a few years later and the same dog ate the whole thing. LOL!! He was a good dog too, just couldn't resist the temptation when left alone with a cake in the house, I guess. The first was high up on the kitchen counter, the second in the middle of the dining room table.

Silly dog. :)

Your little addition is a sweetie pie!!! He's just cute. Your grand is a pretty good looking fella too. :)

Beautiful children in your family! That CS Lewis quote is one of my all time favorites~

The great-great nephew is precious. I agree with you on the chocolate ice cream, and that it would be better than a margarita. Yes, I remember the Mamas & Papas and most of their songs...I also grew up in the 60s and went through a phase of wearing mini skirts and moccasins...LOL, but I was not a "real" hippie (though I am pretty hippy now!)!

Cathy said...

I'd take ice cream too, but not coconut.

Your great nephew is adorable!

Sharon said...

Yes, I remember "Monday, Monday" - but lately I've been "California Dreaming"...

I'm not a fan of anything with coconut in it - one of the few tastes that I haven't outgrown! But, that photo of your new great great nephew might be one of the *sweetest* things I've seen lately!

I want to see photos of the PRINCESS PEA MATTRESS. Many nights I find myself asleep on the couch. I think that might be my favorite *mattress* in the house.

And Disco, just make sure that your cupcake isn't chocolate!! Sometimes dreams do come true - especially for little furry faces as adorable as you!

Sure hope this new bed/mattress is the one. Hard to believe it's still an on going saga. You are blessed to have your grandson there. I get to watch one or two of mine every other week or so but that is only for a day at a time. They are still toddlers and I have to say they give me a work out. Hope your Monday is a wonderful one!

Best wishes with the Princess bed!!!
I liked the Mama's and the Papa's and all the rest of 60's and 70's too. I wasn't a hippie but almost. My hair was collar length and I rode a motorcycle.

I still listen to classic rock.
But the singers are sooo young it seems now.

Gee ... And I thought our bed story was crazy. Your boy is beautiful and so is the new baby.
California Dreaming was my favorite and another one Mama Cass did called Dream a Little Dream of Me.
Poor Disco, you ought to get something special for that sweet face.
Hope your Monday, Monday was a great one.
Love C.S. Lewis. Such a wise man.

Chocolate for me too. LOL, a happy hippie, I'd be too bout now. I still like some of the bohemian clothes that are back, except the wide bell bottoms. lol ...or didn't they ever leave? Precious baby looking so soft and comfy. I'll bet you loved snuggling a little one again.

I remember that songs very well and know exactly what I was doing at the time! I was in HS. I wore bell bottoms. That's right, you don't like coconut. The great great nephew is adorable. I will probably have one of those before I have a grandchild at this rate. Honestly another mattress?

Dee said...

I can't believe it....Disco and I have the same dream ......I was sort of a hippie....the mama's and the papa's songs bring back a lot of memories. I had long hair like Cher, wore granny gowns and even had a suede jacket with fringe on it. LOL I also have that hour glass figure...

Marie said...

I would like to try coconut ice cream.
Your nephew is so precious!
I agree with Disco, always dream.:) Hugs to Disco! He's so adorable!

I sure hope this bed is the one! :)
What kind is it? I don't like hard beds with my neck and back problems.

Marie

Hi Sandie,
It's really great to start our week reading your most encouraging blog, sweetheart.
You always put a smile on my face.
I love this pic of your grandson.
Thank you for your kind emails!
Perhaps, it will be a good idea to connect Online with American folks who are interested in Handicrafts, the way I do. I see it in this way, the more the merrier...
Have a great week, Sandie, sweet friend! I'll soon send you the Instrumental Music of My Song, a flute, keyboards, guitars, etc. You see, I only recorded the melody in MP3, and wrote the lyrics, but a Band played my song, actually My Music Teachers. I am also involved in Art Lessons. Poetry, Literature and Music are some of my favourites subjects.
Have a blessed time, Sandie, family and friends!
God may bless you all!
HUGS,
Poet Starry.
