Happy New Year

ARE YOU THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO MAKES A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION? AND IF SO WHAT IS IT?

This year my resolution is to do a small daily Christian devotion. I tend to let that slide sometimes.

What is yours?

This is a lot of what went on during Christmas Break.

My son and his family came from Ohio.  We got together Christmas Eve with the relatives that are down here - we went out to eat - there was 23 of us!  Mostly from my brother's side.
My great niece just had a baby girl on the 29th it would be 24 now.
It was wonderful.
So we had a great Christmas Eve.

Christmas Day we went to church.
Then we cooked real authentic polish sausage from Patak Meats - the only Polish store I know down here.
We used to have that when we lived in Chicago at my in laws - good memories.

I am thankful for my friends here in Bloggersville.

I love all of you.  Have a wonderful New Year!!!

“May you always be blessed with walls for the wind. A roof for the rain. A warm cup of tea by the fire. Laughter to cheer you. Those you love near you. And all that your heart might desire.”

—Irish Proverb

Tell me what your resolution is and let me know how your Christmas was.

Hey! My niece had a baby girl on Nov. 30th. I held her yesterday and sang to her, she loved it too, that is, she didn't say she didn't...LOL.
Happy New Year!

We had a great Christmas, just Sherry and I. Christmas eve She fixed her special lasagna, Christmas day we had Jack's chicken, rice, peas, carrots and gravy with cranberry sauce.
I have made only one promise to myself. I plan to write a letter to each of the family, even the newly borns to say how proud I am of them.
My resolution is to love this woman God gave me with all my heart as long as we both shall live. And to always tell her how beautiful she is!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU, May God smile on you and yours. The Christmas break sounds SWEET!
jack, love from rainy Florida!

Happy New Year to you and yours!
I don't actually make resolutions, but my goal is to share more kindness, including specific compliments. It is nice to hear "I think of you" but when someone says "I think of you every time I open a new can of coffee" (or something as simple as that), you know that an event, an aroma, or a song makes them think of you often. Even better is when someone tells you something specific that you did or said has made a mark on their heart that you didn't know would be there.

My resolution is the same as yours! I need the Word. It’s fun to have New life born into the family. My Christmas was a mixed bag of emotions this year.....our family is shrinking and getting used to new additions is difficult

I really like that opening quote by Jill Savage. Isn't that the truth?

We had a good, quiet Christmas. My favorite kind.
Happy New Year to you, friend. I pray it's a lot better than 2017 was ... for both of us.

Have you downloaded the Bible app from YouVersion? It has wonderful devotions and I find I’m much better at sticking with them when they’re right here in front of me.

I am so glad you had a wonderful holiday! Surrounded by family. I just adore this picture of Disco! What an image of love and trust. I don't make resolutions anymore, because most people (including me) never keep them. But yours is VERY doable!! I think lot of people set their goals way too high, then cannot reach them. So yours is perfect! I may do this as well!!! O.K., pinky swear? Happy New Year, Sandie!!! I am so glad you are back blogging, where you belong!!

Christmas was dandy, and I did make a resolution this year. I'd like to be in a house by next year. My goal is to save, save, save. :)

I like your goal. One of the gals I work with surprised me with a leather devotional for the new year. I love it!! I would have forgotten to pick it up today if I hadn't read your post!

Happy New Year, and congrats on the new baby in the family!!

Sounbds like a very nice holiday with the family. I don't really have a list for the New Year, but cutting out sugar and breads are a "to-do" as are getting back to my old hobbies that I have always loved, but were put off this last terrible year. Losing my mom just sucked all the air out of me, and I hope to get that back, plus lose the twenty pounds I have gained to swallow the grief.
I wish a Happy New Year to you and yours!

Happy New Year Sandie!! Your pictures are so cute and fun! I don't make resolutions but I do try to better myself each day, everyday. Most times I fall short of my own expectations but I just keep on a trying.
I look forward to reading more of your post this year!!
Hugs,
Saimi

We love you, too! It's so good that you came back to blogland this past year because I had missed you. Sounds like a lot of fun with that many people around and Disco looks very content. I usually make a couple of resolutions, but this year, things happened so quickly and we had company and then I got sick, so I hadn't put much thought into it. However, as always, I want my morning quiet times of devotion to be special and me always growing and learning more in my walk with the Lord. I want to be more yielded to what He wants to do in me and it always seems my selfish side wants to barrel on through. I do devotions from different ones throughout the year. I like Tim Keller's The Songs of Jesus, sometimes Charles Stanley, and I work on my BSF study each day.

Happy New Year to you, too, dear Sandie. Just getting caught up on blog posts! I no longer call my goals "resolutions." Really, I prefer goals, hopes, or wishes. My main one is to de-clutter every room in the house. Other ones are to save more money for projects around the house as well as to visit my soon-to-be-here granddaughter, and, of course, the life-long one, lose some weight. I am SO HAPPY to have a sweet blog peeps like you, dear Sandie. You are a true sweetie pie. Love ya. Susan

Hello again, Sandie,
I've already posted my share to wish you, your family & loved ones a Happy New Year 2018.
But, I forgot to answer your question... No! I don't make resolutions. I just can't.
I live today to the fullest -as if it were my last day in this world, for tomorrow is not promised to anyone. What I still hope and pray for my goals & dreams to happen soon, if that is God's Almighty Will. I pray for my health & personal life to get better in this New Year 2018... I love your Blog as always. It cheers me up a great deal & makes me smile...
Hope, Peace & Love to you, Sandie & Everyone you love.

Christmas and New Years all quiet waiting for medical procedures. Lots of family around. My commitment rather than resolution is to pay attention to my health.
