If you don't like photos just sign off now - lol.

Nothing is not that easy now - you have to do something special.

Bundt cake.

Disco in grandson's bow-tie.

Truth of Dare was the movie they went to that night.
She did say yes.  All this work was not for vain.
In fact it started as friends and I think this has turned into his first love.
Okay remember or least when I was younger we went steady.
Now they are exclusive.
They went exclusive!!  lol
Now here my guy didn't date at all and now he's exclusive.
She is a nice girl tho.

Don't tell him I told you that they are exclusive - lol.

Here goes!

Picking up his tux.

There is my little boy coming out.

Here is the man going out.

Figuring the flowers.

They are so innocent aren't they - ???

They are cute even if I have to say so myself.

Then went out as a group of friends.  This is their little group,  I think going in a group is wonderful.

Grandson's best friend is 6'4" and Grandson is about 6'.

They have been friends for years.

Isn't she looking up cute at him????

Prom is over - they look tired.

I hope he remembers the joy he's having right now and will carry it with him in the future.
Grandson I love you so.

Oh how they love each other - Disco is a little jealous of that girl!

In GA when you 17 you have to be home at midnight.  So his mom and I knew he would want to stay out later - so we drove together and went and got grandson at 2am!!!  Daughter drove home one car and I drove home the other.  Boy waking up and driving safely is tough at 2am.
Anyhow - guess who went with us - Disco.
He was so tired.

You know I want to be this way myself.

"Above all else,
guard your heart,
for everything you do flows
from it."

Proverbs 4:23

He looks so handsome and his date is lovely. Time passes so quickly, doesn’t it?

My grandson also did the “prom-posal” with his “exclusive”. It is a fun thing. I also like that you don’t need a date anymoreto go to prom and those not asked are not left out.

He is truly a handsome young man, hard to believe he is a senior and goig to prom. they make a beautiful couple and look perfect together, i love the Disco invite the best, OF COURSE... I never went to a prom

I love how everyone in the group looks.
Wow, on your grandson...some expressions still show the boy we've seen over the years and some show the man he has become. Your heart must be so full.

I have a feeling I will blink twice and my grandson (age 8) and granddaughter (3) will be at their proms.

Sandie he is all gown up! Oh my! What a sweet couple. I love all the Prom photos. I have a few years before Tiger is old enough to date but time does fly by doesn't it!

They do grow up far too soon. He's definitely a handsome young man. His date very pretty too. How nice you could give him a ride after being out so late. It does seem every one has an after party. No matter how old they get though, they will always need their moms and grandma's too.

They make such a sweet looking couple! I agree with you; it is fun to go with a group of kids! That was great how you and Kelly worked together to go and get him at 2 a.m. so he could enjoy being out later but still be within the law :)

Beautiful pictures. Our news just had a section about the Prom-posals they do now. so I guess it has spread all over the country.

I LOVE it! It has been a long time since I have seen his grown-up self up close. He is so handsome and sweet. And she is beautiful. They make the CUTEST couple! Yes, I completely agree with going in a group! My very favorite picture is one of the last ones, the two of them close up and hugging. When will he graduate, and what does he want to do? So many good things here to think about. I don't see what's wrong with the picture, except the date on the calendar. Yes, I remember going steady, but exclusive is a more descriptive word. I love love love your thing about when life gets hard!!! Disco is still looking young, feisty, and healthy!

Oh my goodness, the prom photos are wonderful! It is nice to see the girls in dresses that are modest for a change.

Sandie, I LOVE seeing you back here and posting such fun again!! I've missed you!!

Grandmas are so SILLY!!! LOL I can see and read the pride. He has grown into a young man from a kid as I have read your blog. Amazing isn't it?

I was never at a prom. Some things you miss when you are a drop out. LOL

Great photos and Grandma/mom were sweet to work out the late hour. NEAT!

Yep he will remember that night!

Love Sherry & jack

Oh Sandie! There is so much to love about this post and all the pics. I love the "going out as a boy and then as the man!" It makes me tear up to see the way you love him so. What a handsome young man he is and his girlfriend looks very lovely. So sweet the way she looked at him. Yes, things are so very different these days and it all looks very expensive!! Lol! We were much more simple in the old days. These kids are so glamorous!
Okay. Is Mary the other sister? And now I've already forgotten your other little puzzle. Oh yes, June only has 30 days. And so true. Our lives are so very blessed. People around the world would love to live as we do. No complaints here.

I saw your comment on Terri's post, so I wanted to stop by and see if you were blogging again. I've been on a long blogging break, and last I knew you had stopped blogging (writing). So glad to see that you are posting again!

I can't believe how grown-up your grandson is now. Time does indeed fly! He is a very handsome young man.

I'm still in idaho and doing very well. Am an empty nester now, something I always dreaded. But I'm happy.

I'm now blogging at Celebrating Our Days. Stop by if you get a chance.

OH!! WOW, this is a special post!! My dear friend, I can feel your intense love for your handsome grandson throughout this post, one of your best...
I misunderstood something, because I thought it was his Senior Prom. But, it is actually her Senior Prom. So, his gorgeous girl is a little older than him. She is done with High School, and perhaps, going into College soon. On the other hand, your grandson should wait another year to graduate. Is he going for his Senior Prom next year? She might feel jealous, if he chooses another girl for his company. They are a stunning couple, just like love birds. His tuxedo looks perfect on your good-looking grandson. Her dress is as gorgeous as she is. I hope they will stay together forever, God's willing. She looks like a lovely girl for your grandson. He is growing up too fast, as I see him driving his car. Then, he looks like a responsible young man. He got a great future in front of his eyes. I pray he does the very best to become the person you would like him to become. I also pray he will stay closed to his mom, his grandmom & grandfather forever, and never go away too far. All the best for you all, my dear friend. Well, about me, I'll stay here in the meantime, for I have no other place to go. God Bless!! Big Hugs from Starry.

I like that some of the girls, who didn't appear to have dates, were included and went to the prom anyway.

He looked so nice and his girlfriend looks sweet. Nice post.
