Can you tell what is happening in this picture?
Grandson is dancing on stage in front of 50K people with his favorite band.
The band picked four people to come up - he was one.
He was in a yellow shirt on top of his friend's shoulders and got picked.

Okay - what is the story about this? First of all let me say I had my qualms about letting him go to this at 17.
God and his mom really worked out a great deal.
The first God Wink was he went with a good Christian friend.
Second God Wink - whose grandparents just happened to live in the area.
And the third God Wink was that his friend's mom drove them to downtown Atlanta and picked the up from the concert both days.
And the fourth God Wink was that they all stayed with the grandparents.
No wondering off - no parties.
So far he is a very trustworthy guy - no drugs - no alcohol - I pray he keeps it up.
So he got to go - he paid $$$ - but he was being watched.
Of course when he is 18 that is another story.

QUESTION:
I love this young man so much.
He's a good young man.
He is the most fun loving social guy I have ever known.
I know these are good qualities, but he's not serious about much else.
I don't mind him having fun - but work is important too!
It is hard to motivate someone when they don't want to be motivated.

Hi Sandie....Your grandson is a nice-looking, kind boy. He's had lots of love (especially from Grammie) so I'm sure he will do just great. Now it's time for YOU! Nice post. Love, Susan
Such a cute post to start off the week! Raising teens at this point in time isn't for the weak for sure. Thankfully all my grands are much like yours and are no trouble. I give a lot of credit to my sons and daughter on that one for sure ! Have a great week and be happy !
He is a fine young man and will go far in this world. You can be so proud.
This is a great post, I love the photos of the dogs :-) How cool your grandson got picked to go on stage! It is so hard to let them go to these concerts etc. especially with worry of all that can go wrong. I know letting go as a parent is so hard. My oldest is 17 and is a great girl, wise beyond her years but as her mom I still worry about all that "could" happen, lol. Hope you have a great week!
Blessings,
Jill
This cute puppy looks like a Disco puppy! Well, things fell into place beautifully for all of you! What is the band's name? I guess this is one of his biggest thrills so far! He is doing SO well, and that is in no small part due to you.
The grandson is growing up fast, he will be fine, you all raised him well, I love the puppy but disco is so adorable, he captures my heart,
what a great story and also getting picked to go on stage. wow. ha ha on the expert advice, I give that to myself a lot, sometimes it works sometimes no. disco looks so sweet and I would love to snuggle that puppy under my chin
I can tell how much you love this grandson! You surrounded him with encouragement and protected him in prayer. You can’t do more than that. How exciting he got to go up on stage! He will have such good memories of his youth. Kids grow up and there is plenty of time to get serious about things. A lifetime, actually. Not all children get this special freedom in childhood of living with no worries. You’ve taught him responsibility and now you will encourage him with your confidence in him. He will go far.
Hi Sandie - Disco and your grandson bring you much happiness ... and that's what life is about - enjoying things ... it's great he's out and about and acquiring life skills - sounds like he's got the best grounding - love the photos - cheers Hilary
What a fantastic opportunity for your grandson! Definitely lots of God Winks there! Bet he had a blast that he will remember for a long time! Loved the corgi pup!
betty
That mind puzzle took me longer than usual. How cool that he got to go on the stage!!! That was definitely a blessing from God how that all worked out.
It's so hard being a parent... and a grandparent too, for that matter. It sounds like good reasoning was used when making allowances and decisions for your grandson, Sandie, and that's all any of us can ever do. Love, Andrea xoxo
What a thrill for Andy, getting called up in front of all those people! I'm not expert, but wouldn't be too worried about his 'good time' attitude for a few more years. Unfortunately, Life has a way of imparting those lessons, even when we're not ready.
WOW, how fun that your grandson got picked to go on stage with his favorite band. This is an awesome picture, and he'll remember that night always. It's hard to raise teenagers, isn't it? They sometimes have a mind of their own haha. But it sounds like your grandson has a good head on his shoulders. I've always liked this Psalm verse. Thanks for sharing it today, Sandie.

Oh My.... The teen years are not easy.... Kids will experiment and do things which you or I wouldn't approve of .... I tried to be one of those Moms who kept the communication going and accepted some of the things my sons did ---or had to learn the hard way... Keeping too short a leash doesn't work. You have to know that you've done your best --and if/when he does something you don't like ---- CALMLY talk to him and try not to fuss at him or judge him... He always needs to know that you love him REGARDLESS..... Obviously you are doing a great job with him ---so don't worry so much.
YES--I saw the "O" --but will admit that it didn't just jump out at me....
Hugs,
Betsy
Found the o but had to look for it
Pups are generally cute
Teenagers are stressful
Teenagers say and do dumb things
Never in a hundred years would I give advice on rearing the youth. Especially today. We did not do a great job on our sons, but they both are now productive adults.
Yep I found the O, and loved the post. And I know the Big. 'A' was happy at the dance. Yep special to be picked out of a crowd for something you want.
How exciting for Andy!! Wow!! Disco is adorable!! I think you are doing a great job with your teenager! You have given him a great foundation upon which to grow!
What a great time he must have had at the concert. To be picked from the crowd is very cool and a memory that he will always have.
He is still a kid and as you know, it goes by fast. You have all given him the right guidance and that will pay off. Don’t worry, reality will hit him soon enough.
It's a very scary world nowadays and as much as we want to protect our kids from it all, as they grow older it's impossible. My younger daughter went to church every week, attended a private school etc etc. but she started smoking weed, ending up dating the guy working on our house and then got pregnant at 17. I have to be honest and say I'm still disappointed for her because she has no money, the guy beat her up and now she's a single mother with no qualifications and no way to get a job as he has a baby. However hard you try to bring your kids, and grandkids up the right way, at the end of the day they are going to go their own way, and it may no be the way you wanted for them.
what a great grandson. how cool he got to be on stage with his favorite band. a moment he'll always remember.
He has grown up to be a fine looking Grandson. Awesome he got to be on stage. You have given him the right guidance .You have done a great job. I applaud you.
Wow! How cool was that an experience for him! And apparently, he's not shy. I'm impressed. (Was this a band we old folks would recognize?)
He knows he is loved, you've raised a good boy. As we said in high school, he will go far. I found the O. Now my eyes are crossed. And I wish I could share our rain with you. Disco sleeps a lot these days, huh? That puppy is so cute.
Wow what a great time your grandson had and to be picked to dance on stage, He'll never forget that!! Tell me more about that cute little puppy, is that a new addition to your family? My son and his family had a old Corgi that recently passed, it was very sad for them then I see this puppy and that's the exact coloring their Zoey was. I found the O among the mix of Q's Your puzzles are so fun and mind challenging I love them!
Enjoy the rest of the week!!
Saimi
What a handsome young man your Grandson is!
And....a given is that Disco is the handsomest fur baby around your place.
Love you,
Jackie
Cute puppy indeed!
You are blessed to have a good grandson. Im sure hes a good boy. Though they may get into a little mischief, knowing he is raised right and has God on his side makes it easier to let go.
I was lucky to have an easy raising daughter. I kept her in church and taught her values which most kids now day get neither.
Lisa
We have a new pup too...well... not really a pup anymore, She is 3 years old already.
Your grandson look good. It's good that he have the right friends. As family, we would always worry.
The puppy is super adorable and I love the thought! Have a great weekend!
I am sorry it was difficult to get back to my blog. I thought if you clicked on my name it brings you back to my blog. No, we live in Cumming. We went to Cartersville because someone told us there were cotton fields there, but if there are we didn't find them. We enjoyed our visit. I would like to explore more on that side of Georgia more. I heard that Rome has a beautiful campus at Berry College.

Andy obviously was having a blast at the concert. and to be picked out of thousands...WOW! A time he will not soon forget. Your family has done a great job leading him in the right direction and yet, giving him some rope a little longer each outing. You're full of unconditional love that works.
I found the 'o' right away, even being tired LOL. As for Daffy Duck, I can relate....sometimes it's best getting ' first hand ' advise.LOL
love n' hugs from up north of many a state
