Cruising -- Hubs Birthday - Homecoming - Break up

GOOD MORNING ~

This is not my Disco, but he sure is cute.
I think seeing cute makes one feel good.
FEEL GOOD!!

Brain Tease

Disco's Corner
This is my Disco.  Now when my daughter or grandson go away or go out the door when he is sitting with me in the office - he looks out the door for them.
Kind of sad.
Did I tell you I am the last man on the totem pole to him?

Grandson's Corner
I have to tell you a funny story.  The first week of kindergarten for Andy – his first week of riding the bus – some 5th grader took Andy’s money and said if you tell anyone I will kill you.  So I did mention it to the bus driver – not the school principal.  Then the next day Andy told this girl Meghan that he was going to kill her and then kissed her!!!!!!!!!!!  5 years old.  Her parents went into the teacher and then the principal.  She was a new assistant principal and was being tough I thought and without asking us anything suspended Andy for four days on the bus – so I had to pick him up.  Needless to say we were mad (and I hate to tell you still are a tad bit – because every time we see them they still look mad at us.).  It all got straightened out after we came in mad and told what had happened to Andy and he was repeating it.  They revoked the suspension – however I took Andy to school every day since then.  It really impacted our life.  They live in the neighborhood and we pass their house every time we leave or come in the neighborhood.  Fast forward 12 years.  Andy and Kelly went on this cruise.  They had a place for 15 to 17 year olds.  Guess who was there?  MEGHAN!  Guess whose Andy’s new girlfriend is?  They became in separable.  Spent a lot of time together and are going to date.  Kelly said she saw the mom and she did not look happy – teehee.  Meghan told Andy if they were really going to date he would have to ask her dad.  Don’t you think that was a BIG coincidence?  I bet God knew when that happened all those years ago he knew they would date and just laughed.
My daughter and I loved her - she was such a nice gal - and she was good for the grandson.
She was too nice if you can believe that.
And he just broke up with her.
It broke our hearts.
I know he wasn't going to marry her - too  young, but she was really, really nice.
I am so sorry Meghan.

HUBS 72nd birthday
The Juicy Crab!

A Little Humor For You

A 'TRUE' thought to leave you with:

Chatty Crone

Question:
Handicap parking.  I don't know if you have a handicap sign or someone you know has one.
Does it bother you to see a young person - jump out of a car - and run in the store - yet has a car with either a sign or a license plate?
I know it is not theirs.
That they have probably 'borrowed' it.
However they show no remorse when you look at them.
Do you think they are given out too easy?  What are you thoughts?

Happy Birthday to your hubby. Looks like he had a feast for sure ! Cute story about the kids and how over time they became boyfriend and girlfriend. We never know just where life will take us further on down the road. I try to consider that everyone has a reason for what they do, especially when it comes to handy cap parking spaces. We just really never know what is going on in another's life. I really don't see much of that sort of thing because I like to park further back and get some much needed exercise having to walk to the store. Your disco is so cute, I could just picture him with a bowtie like that. Even though you might be the last on his list, I'm sure he'd miss you most if you weren't there.

Before I forget it I see '571'. Loved the entry, as always. The stories of life are many time stranger than fiction. This one has a 'bitter sweet' ending. (Andy and Megan that is)

HAPPY BIRTH TO THE 'OLD' MAN!

Now on the handicap parking. Yes it does rankle, to see a handicap spot 'OBVIOUSLY misused'. Yeah I saw a young lady the other day, as full of life as most teenagers laughing and talking as she and another teenager got into the car and drove off. I doubt if the laughing was about the parking spot, but it gave the appearance.
To most who cheat it is about beating the system. But it is amazing to me that anyone could actually know what they are doing and take a TRUE handicapped person's spot.

Happy 72nd Birthday to your hubby. We have a handicap tag, my girls like to go in my car, for that reason. Your Disco is cute. I love Maxine!

looks like a happy birthday meal to me.. I wish bob was 72, that would mean I am 64 not 74. ha ha… it sounds good to me about the break up, to young to be in a one person relationship... he has plenty of time to find THE one.. better to wait until older. it is a cute story about the kill/kiss though. that puppy does look like Disco and Disco is so cute. I am bottom of totum for all our dogs but that means I am always number 2. ha ha

Happy Birthday to your hubby. What a wonderful dinner for his B-day. Love the story about Andy. Disco is pitiful, I know I am Kizzy's "person" she loves Jay but I am "it" for her. I love that she loves me so much but when I leave anywhere she is a hot mess and I know this so it makes me anxious to leave her for too long. We are bonded.

That was such an interesting story about your grandson, Sandie. And you ended up really liking her, which made it sad cause they broke up. Happy Birthday to your husband. The first time I ate crab was when my brother-in-law brought us back some from Alaska. It was fresh crab and oh so good. That "train of thought" quote is too funny. Ok, I think I saw the number, is it 571? : )

A wonderful post, Sandie.

Happy birthday to your hubby! What a funny story about Megan and your grandson. I hope she's doing okay since the break up. Wondering if her mom was secretly pleased? I try not to judge about people in handicap spots but sometimes my mind wonders if they truly deserve to be parking there, sticker or not.

Happy Birthday to your ol' boy! lol What a story about Meghan and your grandboy. Kind of sad they broke up because they are as cute as cute can be together. You can tell she is sweet just by looking at her.

Handicap plates/hangers are VERY hard to get here...and they dole them out in 6 week increments unless you are permanently disabled. I think it is wrong to use them if you are not handicapped...but sometimes able bodied looking people really do need them because of underlying health problems that we can't see.

I hope you have a great day, Sandie. xo Diana

Happy Birthday to your handsome hubby!

Aw... we've never met, but my heart hurts a bit for Meghan. Are any of us 'too old' not to recall the pain of young love?

The handicap parking dilemma is a dicey thing, for sure! It's sure easy to witness what appears to be flagrant violations, but one never knows. Both hubby and I have those hangers in our vehicles. Thank God Tom no longer looks sick, but because of the lung cancer and long-term radiation, he becomes easily winded. I'm sure some people think he's taking advantage, but there's little to do but ignore them.

571. What a story! Too bad they broke up, the nice ones are the ones who suffer the most. Yes, the handicapped thing drives me crazy!!!! This has happened to me countless times. When picking up a child from school, the handicapped place was taken, then we saw a young woman RUN out and take off. And it was the ONLY handicapped parking place. People do this all the time. But what can you do about it? Nothing. Even if you get their license number, it would be their word against yours. do you have a handicapped plate? I actually have pictures, and have been planning on doing a blog post about it.

My eyes are not like they used to be --but I saw 2 of the 3 numbers on that page... Couldn't totally make out the 3rd number.... The first two are really clear. Wonder why??????

Sorry about the Your Lovers.... Teens make up and break up more than you can imagine.... That handsome grandson will date many young ladies in the next several years. Some of them you may not like --but he will end up with the best of them!!!!!

I get upset when I see people parking in handicapped places when it's obvious that they are NOT handicapped.... Disgusting.

Hugs,
Betsy

belated birthday wishes to your husband,, I know how you feel about the break up, the same thing happened in our family,, I was very sad about that but life is life,, I really angers me to see people borrow someones car and take advantage of the handicap parking sign,, low life nasty thing to do, then you see someone circling the parking lot who NEEDS the handicap parking spot and some sorry ass person is using it!!! Yes it annoys me to no end,, Garrys Mum has had to make another trip to pick up meds because of this thoughtless act by idiot people,

I love Disco, I truly do, dogs would never do the nasty stuff people do,,

Happy Birthday to your husband! Looks like he had a good one.
Sorry about the breakup, but that's a cute story of Andy and Meghan. She does look like a nice girl, I'm sure you'll miss her. When my youngest broke up with his first girlfriend, I was probably more sad than he was!

Poor Disco. Annie looks sad every time we leave and say, we'll be right back, Annie. She waits on the rug at the front door and when the garage door goes up, she runs to the back door to greet us as if we had been gone for days!
Now, I loved, loved the story about Your Andy and Meghan. Anyway, I was loving it until the breakup. Oh Andy, why'd you do it? He must have had a reason.
Happy belated birthday to your hubs. I know you treated him right!!
I know people are cheating with the handicap sticker. Makes me mad, but these days, you better not start anything. I think my husband could use a handicap sticker because walking is hard on him. However, I drive and drop him off, but sometimes I make him walk because doctor said he needs the exercise and won't give us a sticker. He can't drive anymore.

Happy Birthday to your husband. I hope he had a nice day.

Young love is fickle and that is as it should be. Andy is seventeen and will probably have many girlfriends before settling down with his one and only. Meanwhile, it is fun to be young.

I never judge anyone who parks In a handicap parking spot and has the sign on their car. I do not know their story and even though they look fit, there may be something that I can’t see. Not all disabilities are visible. I trust people to do the right thing.

571. Cute story about Andy and Meghan and sorry they have broken up. :(

There are probably some handicap stickers that are given out too easily, but we have one and are thankful for it with my knees and Joe's heart. If a kid uses their family car or a grandparent's car, they should NOT park in a handicap spot - but we all know many kids these days could care less about other people. Sad.

I have a disability parking permit and yes it does piss me off when I see a young person who doesn't look to have mobility problems park in a disable parking spot.

That first photo of the pup was so damn cute.

I hate when someone parks in a handicap spot that shouldn't be there. For those who really need the spot, the long walk they have to take can be way too taxing, if they even take the trip at all (and don't go back home out of frustration because the walk into the store is too far). That's a huge pet peeve of mine. Some people think it's 'cute' to get over on the system because their car has a handicap placard.

That is funny that they had that history and ended up together for awhile.

I saw 571 for the number. :)

Have a wonderful day!

That's really sad about Andy. They have to make their own decisions and mistakes! Happy Birthday to your husband. I only had a handicap parking permit after my knee surgery. Yes people should not abuse them and it does make me mad. Here in CA they don't even have that many handicap parking places compared to where my dad lives in Florida.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR HANDSOME HUSBAND, SANDIE!!
I'm sure you all had a fabulous birthday celebration with great food.
About Disco, I love Disco! He looks so cute in his seat looking out the door, waiting for his family to return. I'm not an animal expert, but I do know how animals feel. Pets usually choose some people in their family -whom they prefer or love best. That is why animals give their true unconditional love, something that humans don't give. Humans could be liars and cheaters with no remorse. Yet animals give true forever love, and they don't lie...
About Andy, I thought he was dating the blonde girl from the Junior's Prom,
and I did not know he was dating somebody else. How could that be?...
I often read your friends' comments. Well, I agree with Betsy's Quote: "Teens make up and break up more than you can imagine....Your handsome grandson will date many young ladies in the next several years. Some of them, you may not like --but he will end up with the best of them!"
About the handicap parking spaces, Yes! I get so upset when folks disobey laws, and don't care for the disabled & elderly people. Young folks just don't respect anything, and only care for themselves. They are selfish!
My eyes got a poor vision. So I wasn't able to read the number. Sorry!
Happy Holidays to you, to your wonderful family, to Disco & loved ones!

I see 571?

Happy Birthday to your husband, sorry I'm a bit late here, real life is getting in the way! That meal looks massive!

I have to admit I rarely see anyone use the disabled car spaces at all. They are always empty whilst the rest of the car park is full!
