Passion Conference

 Disco's Christmas Outfit.
He really didn't like it - but he is so cute!

PASSION CONFERENCE 2019
I think I am going to bore you with this, but it is something I want to have in this blog for Andy.
One of his friends, Matthew, treated Evan and Andy to Passion Conference 2019.
They had the time of their lives.

This is what it is all about.

Passion Conferences are for young people from age 18 - 25.  It has been going on for 22 years now.  They had four separate arenas in  4 separate places going on at the same time - all filled!  It was inspiring that so many thousands of young people were there all  loving and learning about Christ.

He is alive and well in this generation.

Now, Andy would not be Andy if he didn't throw in some fun along the way.

Downtown Atlanta

They rented this little cycle thingy.

The Olympic Rings from years past.

WE HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT FOUR TICKETS FOR 2020.
IT IS GOING TO BE HELD IN THE MERCEDES BENZ STADIUM HERE IN ATLANTA
(where the super bowl is being held this February).
80,000 young people will hopefully be in attendance.
It will be held over New Years Eve.

DISCO!!!

P.S.
Just something I thought that was precious - my friend lost her husband recently.  One of her friends took two of her husbands shirts and sewed them together.  When she is sad she can hug and cry into it.

I am so glad you put this on. I have never heard of 'Passion', I think it is marvelous. Thinking of that many young people together not thinking of destroying things or protesting the 'life' thing, but together for GOOD.
U B Sweet for posting, I feel good reading.
Love from down here lady. (I am still smiling! I like it!)

PS: The pillow idea in turn brought a good thought! I hope they brought comfort!

What a wonderful thing for young people to experience. Nice he also has friends to join him and have fun with. I'm sure lots of eyes are going to be on Atlanta with the super bowl. But that is not my passion. Sometimes I do tune for the halftime show so maybe I'll take a peak.

It's so encouraging to see young people so in love with Jesus and wanting to learn more about him and follow him in this self-centered society! Blessings on you, Sandie. And I love that Disco!! :-) xoxo

What a great time for those kids. I've never heard of Passion Conference, but looks like time well spent Andy and his friends.
On a side note, Andy's got great hair :)

That was truly a loving gift your friend made for her grieving friend.

Disco's Christmas outfit is sooooo cute! I've never heard of this conference before. It's good that Andy and his friends are learning about Jesus. I really like the photo of all of them by the Olympic rings. I chuckled when I saw the "cake" quote. That "shirt pillow" really touched my heart, Sandie. What a great idea to make one of these pillows and hug it when we're missing a loved one. There is a Jesus doll (cloth doll) that Jess got me for Christmas, and sometimes I'll pass by and just hug the doll. I'll send you a picture of it. : ) Loved your post today. They are always delightful.

What a great thing for Andy and his friends to go to! It is so refreshing to hear of "young ones" having a passion for Jesus. Those scooters are all the "rage" here especially in tourist spots. That was sweet of the ladies to make shirts out of your friend's husband's shirts. A family that we knew in Montana last year lost the dad to cancer (he was just 39 and had 3 young children). His wife had quilts made up of his tee-shirts that he loved to wear, one quilt for each child and herself. I'm sure it is a comfort, just like this is for your friend as she continues to grieve.

The pillow is wonderful, but the saddest one I have ever seen. I didn't know about this conference, I am glad Andy went. Yes, disco doesn't look too happy in that outfit, but it is so cute! Downtown Atlanta looks so cool!!

I'm blown away (encouraged) by the sights and sounds of Passion! Reassured, too, on account the media seems to spotlight only the troubled, angry youth … or bonafide airheads. YAY for Andy!
Those shirt pillows are such a sweet idea. I've a friend who - after losing her hubby several years ago - used to spray some of his favorite cologne on her pillow case each evening.

The Passion Conference sounded like a wonderful event, especially for young people, Sandie. So happy Andy was able to attend. And little Disco looks adorable. Nice post! Susan

Love seeing pictures of Andy and Atlanta. Hope you're keeping cozy! It's up to 24 degrees here and that's almost balmy. I'm cleared to go outside and I'm just thrilled to be able to get around so well after my hip surgery.

There is absolutely nothing boring about Passion Conference!
Blessings on all who attended. I know that each one received a blessing of his/her own....and they will share that blessing with others.
Sending you love and hugs,
Jackie

Disco looks adorable! What a wonderful Conference and it is awesome to see young people following Christ. Glad you got tickets 2020. Love the cake joke too!

The Passion Conference is amazing and such a wonderful event for today's youth. Andy is so blessed to have friends enjoying it with him. I'll bet he's excited for 2020. What a great thing to buy. Love Disco but he really doesn't look too happy. lol loved the shirt/pillow idea too. It's on my to-do list!

I'm still debating about what to do with a few shirts of Bill's that I kept. I thought about having a few made into stuffed bears. I don't know that my grandkids would make the connection, especially my granddaughter who was just under 2 when Papa died.

I think I will make pillows like these minus the saying. I like the idea behind the sentiment but don't think I'd want to read it some days.

Oh, I love, love it! there is hope for our future as long as we trust our Jesus. I'm so happy to see that Andy got to attend the Passion Conference. That looked like Louis Giglio? I've heard him speak before.
Disco is pretty cute but I really don't blame him for not liking to wear it. I have to be careful these days with food on the counters. I never had a dog before who can reach that high. She hasn't tried anything, however, when I am cooking, she stands up there and when I give her treats, she definitely puts her paws on the counter, which I don't like.
The shirt pillow is a very nice idea.
