A lot to do about nothing - but it's kind of interesting.

Okay first of all - anyone interested besides me?
Secondly, do you notice the word ghosting?  That is a new word this generation made up to mean being there for awhile and then going away without a word.
Lit - use to mean to light something on fire or being on drugs - now it means something awesome - as that is so lit.
I can't remember but there are others - just the young-ins changing the meaning of words.

This is what the groundhog told us here in Atlanta!  Six more weeks of winter.

At least it is not like this down here.
Darla sent me this picture.
Cool though - iced bridge. Forgot where. Sorry.

This is the blood moon we had this past month.
I saved this picture and it might be Ginny's.
Ginny if it was yours I hope it was okay.

Disco and grandpa taking their afternoon nap - they do it every day!

Grandson during photography class - they can leave and go elsewhere to take photos.
Grandson is standing on top of  a desk -
Hope he got a 100 on this project.  lol

Sex Trafficking in Atlanta a Big Problem - article about the super bowl and sex trafficking.

If your are interested in the problem of sex trafficking check this out.  A sad fact about Atlanta is we have a high problem with sex trafficking.  This article is about the problem during the Super Bowl.
The mall near our home - is the largest sex trafficking mall in the United States.
Sad, but true.  When my kids were younger they would go to the mall for something to do.

The Super Bowl and the activities went well here in Atlanta!

Anyone who owns a dog has one!

And we do need butterflies to live!!!

Love, Chatty

I'm all for a trip to the beach, it's my favorite place to be! Interesting about the new ways words are used. I used to keep up with it when my kids were home, but no longer do. Ghosting and lit has taken on a whole new meaning for sure ! Thanks for keeping me more in touch. It's nice we can all speak the same language. I usually have an afternoon nap too... Hope you have a great new week ahead! It's looking like a good one here!

Regarding sex trafficking, we live in a different world today, or do we. This probably has been going on forever, but we get more information today. Women and children have always had to be very careful as predators are everywhere, especially today on the Internet.

After a bad week of snow and record breaking cold, we are now going to have a few days of spring weather. It is a lovely gift for us up north.

Have a good week.

I guess I didn't know before this that you live in Atlanta? So sad that sex trafficking is such a problem, but good that public announcements are being distributed.

I recently learned of "ghosting". I think it usually refers to having a good time with someone on a date and then, strangely, never hearing from them again, but I could be wrong!

Love the wireless doorbells!

Hi Sandie - if nothing changed ... then things wouldn't get better (or sadly worse at times ... but then things change again - like grandpa and disco waking up!) ... fun thoughts - cheers Hilary

That bridge is one I recognize but double checked before posting here. It is the Mackinac (pronounced Mack-in-naw) Bridge that connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas. The Big Mac (or Mighty Mac) is just shy of 5 miles long and is 4 lanes wide. It is the longest suspension bridge between anchorages in the western hemisphere. It has been a while since I've been that far north, it is at least 4.5 hours away according to online stats but I think that would be without road construction, traffic backups and prime driving conditions. Does that ever happen anywhere now?

I don't mind "ghosting" and "lit", I'm just glad that "my bad" isn't prevalent now.

Detroit's auto show ended just over a week ago. That is a known time and target for sex trafficking. The things I will never understand are way too many.

Your hubby and Disco have the right idea.

Oh my gosh, that iced bridge looks scary to drive on. That is such a cool moon picture. I loved seeing your grandson in Photography class. It brought back memories for me, developing the negatives, and then processing the photos and seeing them come out right before my eyes. That is so sad what's happening in Atlanta. Disco and grandpa look peaceful taking a nap. And I love that last "butterfly" quote.

I hope you have great February days, Sandie.

love, ~Sheri

I'm in, let's go to the beach! That's a beautiful photo of the red moon. Sweet photo of Disco and grandpa. Sweet picture of your grandson. That warning is scary. I hate the way our world is today. I love the dogs getting charged up....LOL! Skye doesn't bark at the doorbell. Have a great week.

The beach sounds lovely!! Especially since we've got a snow storm going on. I let my dog out to potty and he stood on the front porch, saw the snow while the wind was blowing on his face and decided he didn't have to go after all. With some encouragement he finally went haha. Love the photo of the moon thats really incredible!
Have a wonderful week!

What a gorgeous moon! It looks professionally done. No, it is not mine. I love Grandpa & Disco!! The picture of the snowy bridge is really affecting, I love it, almost spiritual. It looks more like a painting than a photo. I didn't know about the trafficking in Atlanta, what a sad and evil world.

Love that last quote.. hadn't ever thought of it in the form of that particular comparison. I thought the picture of that ice bridge was a painting.. yikes to know that is real.

I hadn't heard of the term "ghost" like that before. Grandson I think is enjoying his photography class! I tell you these days with what is happening with Uber and LYFT, while I still feel safe taking them, it is something to be watching out for indeed! Got to be so careful to be a young person these days. Hard balancing act to let them be independent, but safe at the same time.

hard to keep the young ones safe at the mall these days. interesting terms.

Yeah ghosting means something different a hundred years ago then it would mean something to do with the dead.

That ice bridge is awesome

Ghosting sounds good. Actually, I kind of went ghosting these past three days and really feel guilty about not reading my friends' blogs. So there is that. Love the doorbells on their chargers!! Your blogs are always so fun, Sandie!!

Yes, sex trafficking.... such a scary thing. I've heard that Super Bowl weekend is always bad for such a thing. Heard it on the news too. Lord, have mercy on us. Love, Andrea xoxo

Ghosting. Thats a new word for me. Nah.. i dont think i want to go to the beach coz of the salty air. Maybe to a waterfall or hotspring. That would be relaxing.

First time seeing blood mooon. My side the moon is bright and big right now as its Chinese New Year

I think sex trafficking is everywhere nowadays especially with the wide usage f socialn media.its hard for authority to catch on unless people report them.

Yes, it's the Mackinac Bridge. Thanks to Knitty for filling in the details. I would have had to research them again. It is most wonderful and mysterious in the summer on a clear day, a bit scary in the fog, but I'd never take it in the winter. I'd have to keep my eyes closed and my hands folded! The sex trafficking seems to be everywhere. Prayers for our youth are so needed every single day. Life is too short to loose one single person to such tragedy.
Love the napping gramps and pup Disco. So cute. Also, your grandson is so loving his photography classes isn't he. As far as todays young language, new words/meanings, I'm lost half the time but I do ask what they mean. lol
love n' hugs to ya

Such a great post.... Sad about Trafficking.. I hear and read about it a lot.... SCARY....

We are having a winter of nothing but RAIN RAIN RAIN..... Yuck!!!

Crazy about the 'new' words... Guess you have to be around the younger generation to hear them. Hadn't heard of ghosting --nor of 'lit'...... I am just now learning to say "MY BAD"...... ha ha

Have a great week.

Hugs,
Betsy
