OHIO
Holds another grandson that I love very much.
I don't get to see him very much, but I sure do love him.
In the olden days - lol - families stayed together in the same neighborhoods.
Now we don't even live in the same state!
But that is life. I know it.
His parents went camping in the freezing COLD!
And we got the prize - We got to watch my other grandson!
We went to two soccer try outs and one soccer practice. He made both teams, but picked the second team which I thought that was so good.
The coaches were awesome.
When he was little he was a picky eater - no more - he tries more than I will.
Calamari? Not me!
He made a Lego set all by himself.
An I brought him a book from the recent craft show.
This was one of the best books I have ever read and he LOVED it.
It kept us busy for a couple of days.
He learned 6 magic tricks and practiced to show his mom and dad when they got home.
It was a wonderful trip and when the parents got back they took us out to eat!
~BACK HOME~
I asked if I could take a photo. He said of course.
I try to always tell you a story about the family and something to think about - think about this:
The seasons of life and love.
I share a photo of the royal dog DISCO.
I also try to leave you laughing with a joke!
And may I add - this is exactly what the hubs would do.
Look who was in town last week and who I had the blessing of meeting!
Buttercup/Carol
SHE IS A BLESSING - WONDERFUL - WONDERFUL - WONDERFUL WOMAN!
A REAL DELIGHT.
BEAUTIFUL!

It is wonderful to spend time with grandchildren and even better and more precious, is time spent with one that does not live by. I know as I have two that live across the country and making memories with them only two weeks a year is very special.
We enjoyed the visit. unique is the man with the bird. Love the family pictures and YES states and at times countries separate Grands but it is wonderful when there is a chance for THAT visit.
Love from NC

hugs and kisses to the royal pup... and I am so happy for you that you got to sit with your out of state grandson. cute little parrot and the photo of you son and his family is a really good one and a precious memory
Isn't Carol/Buttercup the BEST?! Meeting her a few years ago was such a delight. LOVE your grandson's eyes in that first picture. What a cutie.
PS - Your hair in that last picture looks wonderful! :)
What a wonderful post about our grands that live out of town, I have several. You make the most of the time you had with him for sure! And seeing Buttercup would be a treat. I've been reading her blog for a long time.
As others have said...Grands are the best...little or almost grown...even the "Granddogger" fits into that category.
I do wish our one son and family were in our state too. Oregon is so far for the drop in visits. Grateful our other son lives close by...hence we dog sit on occasion.
Love the recliner fitting the dog too giggle for the day.
Grands are the very best. I love mine and my great grands too. Such pleasure they bring.
I love the three tiered photo of young to old. I'm in the last part. It's the way of things.
Have a fabulous day and week, Sandie. ♥
Chat me up today, Sandi. I LOVE it! What a great post! I know Buttercup, and follow her! You are both looking so good, and you never seem to age!! You look even younger than last time I saw you. I love when bloggers show themselves. Hilarious about the dog and recliner!!! I am proud of you for going up to that man with his bird, because how much fun does that give us! Usually W.M. sightings are not near as fun. By the way, they have leggings for $4.44 now, I got several pairs. And super soft ones for $6.00. All kinds of prints and solids, even Christmas prints. They also have such cute mix& match P.J. top and bottoms. Wish we could go shopping together, we would have so much fun!
I'm lucky that my 2 grandkids live a half hour away. That's a neat photo of seasons of love. I was trying to figure out who was whose parents.
I don't have grands yet, but I look forward to the day I do. And I will hate it if they don't live nearby. I grew up within walking distance of both sets of grandparents, and they were such a blessing in my life. I know your older grandson lives close, so you've been a part of his life always. It's great that even though the younger guy is so far away, you are still pouring into his life and able to spend some time with him. What a cutie he is!
That photo of seasons of love is really neat. What a great idea to capture that!
Disco is a sweetheart. I love fur babies!!
How fun to meet up with a blog friend.
Blessings,
Patti
Sounds like you had a wonderful time with your Ohio grandson! That is a great way to bond by spending alone time with him (you know what I mean). Looked like lots of fun things you did too! LOL about the man bringing his dog along with chair shopping. We did buy one of our couch sets to match Koda's fur so when he shed, it wouldn't be too obvious on it LOL :)
Glad you got to meet a fellow blogger!
betty
I don't know what it is life to not see your grandchildren weekly as I see mine. I see both grandsons pretty much daily.
Great Post. You look fabulous. Yes you look young.
Nice you got to get away. That is what households need.
What a wonderful visit you had with your grandson, Sandie. Yaaaay, he made the soccer team! It sounds like he's a good player, so he'll love the game. Calamari - my mom loved it, and would always order it at restaurants. I smiled when I saw your grandson playing with the legos because my son used to love them too. Wow, that man with the bird at Walmart must have been a sight! Aaahhh, royal Disco is too cute. I got a laugh at the picture of the grandpa with his dog at the furniture store. And, of course, I loved that red rose at the end. Is that you on the left in the photo? It's nice to see our blog friends' faces once in awhile.
I'm glad you had a great time in Ohio, Sandie.

What fun you had with your other grand! I know he had a blast too! Wish I could see the magic show! Your posts are always so fun, Sandie! Have a blessed week!
You're fortunate you have family, Sandie...cherish them, as I know you do.
And, of course, there's darling Disco. :)
you and buttercup look great together. sounds like you had a wonderful time with your grandson. the book looked interesting. glad he picked up a few magic tricks. disco is so sweet.
I'm glad you had a nice time with your "other" grandson! He seems like a nice well-rounded happy kid. I always love your Disco pics, and that grandpa at the recliner store made me LOL!
We had a pet parakeet when I was growing up. They tend to pick their favorite human and hate everyone else! I don't know Buttercup, but that's a nice pic of the two of you.
Sad but true, families don't all live in the same place anymore. We did that to my family by moving away and it definitely changes things. How wonderful to spend time with him. I'm with you on the calamari. He is so handsome. That book looks like fun! That's crazy about the bird at Walmart. That is one sweet photo on love. Disco is so cute. That's cute about the furniture store. Glad you had a nice visit with Carol.
Love seeing your grandson! I'm so glad we could figure out the logistics and get together. What a sweet get together it was. I could have spent the afternoon chatting! Love and a big hug.
Wow, that photo og the newlyweds is so beautiful and touching. So amazing! Love your family pictures, you have a wonderful grandson. Have a lovely day ☺
I am sooo glad that you got to see your other family so far away. Did you get to play in the snow while you were there? I hope so. Was there a secrets way of breaking the "picky eater"? Our 10-year-old granddaughter has a very few foods that she eats. Also it has to be a certain brand, her favorites. I am not very particular, I eat most any thing and love Calamari. You might also. Disco is the most spoiled do I know, but I suppose he eats most anything.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, you and Hubs ands Disco and the other closer family if they can come.
..
This was a delightful post, Sandie. How I missed it when you first posted it, I do not know, but I'm glad I just found it! So happy you got to spend whole days alone with your darling Ohio grandson. Much love. Susan
I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, Sandie, filled with lots of love and lots of good foods. I am thankful for having a blog friend like you. : )
~Sheri
Of course you have to take the dog to test the chair. What if he doesn't like it? Hahahhaha
Glad you got time with your baby grand. It's always magical when we do get it. I try to get mine in as often as I can, but of course, it's never enough. :)
Happy Thanksgiving to you. I was going to head over and tell you first, but you beat me to it. We're decorating the tree and I got sidetracked. I hope you had a wonderful day full of good food and nice company.
Awesome that you got to visit your friend (blogger?). It is always fun to meet another blogger. :)
Ha HA ha! I love Grandpa shopping with the puppy! 🐶
I am SOOO far behind visiting. What wonderful pictures of your family and you and Buttercup!!!! How special to meet a blogger in person.
Love the guy with the dog in the furniture store....too funny. xo Diana
There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like grandchildren! My two live close by (thank you, Jesus) but I don't get to see the 16 yr. old as much now that he's driving!!! He did come by for a lengthy visit yesterday and his Papa and I sure enjoyed that! I love, love that photo of the 3 generations kissing at the wedding. I hope to be around when my two get hitched and I hope I'll remember to get that same photo!!!!
Lovely post :)
All the best Jan
There are too many scams out there that promise results that are unrealistic just to get people to join them. You do not want to come across like that. Success is important, but not at the expense of integrity.
