Carcolepsy:
A condition affecting buddies on a trip who fall asleep as soon as the car starts moving, providing no company or driving help.
I think I have it.
As soon as I get into a car and start on a trip I want to go to sleep!
We went to Gatlinburg a couple of weeks ago - we met my son and his family there.
We stayed mostly in the cabin - which I have to say was a nice one.
My kids treated us.
We did go out to dinner at night - but wore our masks - or at least most of us did.

Poor Disco was a little stressed on this trip to the mountains.
One day the group went out to play at Magi Quest which was okay with me and Disco felt better.

She sat on her lap for over an hour in the car!
Okay, he got into his boys lap too.
We did go to the Pirate Show there - it was awesome.
The waiters had on masks and they separated families.
They even took our temperatures before we went in.

The cabin had a pool table - air hockey table - Jacuzzi - large table to play games - a movie room - and four bedrooms.

No one had seen this type of banking.
It is at a regular bank.
I HATE IT!
You talk to a teller in a box - in front of everyone.
It might be coming your way!
They are not actually in the box - where they are I have no idea!
SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT:
Disco is daughter's shadow. She had to go back to work - she teaches.
The kids will do virtual and she will teach from her classroom?
DISCO WAS A NERVOUS WRECK WITH HER GONE.

That sure is a beautiful cabin and of course Gatlinburg is really a gorgeous place to go also. Glad you got to get together with your son and your grandsons and of course sweet disco he looks like he was happy and those laps. I can't sleep in a car I'm very bad if you want to drive straight through somewhere and one sleeps and one drives and then the other one sleeps in one drives because I can't sleep.
When you say teller in a box do you mean they're closed inside of a little office and you stand and talk through a hole in the window like the one at the front at the drive-thru? Or do you mean that's a teller that's a video like on a computer screen? All of our Bank of America's here are closed at the moment we got email saying they are closing and there's only one Bank open in the whole city if you need to go in the lobby and that's by appointment only
How great to have all your family together for vacation. It's a wonderful ay to relax. Knowing they area ll with you and everyon's ok. What a great cabin you had with so much entertainment to be had. Plenty of space for everyone ! Those kinds of vacations are the best !

Wonderful trip you had! That cabin sounded like a lot of fun to stay in! Glad everyone could be together and enjoy some time and fun with each other!! Wow with that teller box! I sure hope it doesn't make its way here but I fear that it will!

One of my friends went to Gatlinburg a few weeks ago and stayed in an AirB&B. They enjoyed the hiking and some cool putt putt golf courses.i went once as a young teen and remember a tram ride up the side of a mountain.
This is the same bank that bought the one here

My daughter in law falls asleep the moment she gets in the car when we go on trips too.
I very rarely sleep in the car...mostly to be sure my Hubby stays awake on long trips (of which we haven't had any for months and months)
Talking to the box doesn't sound like something I want to do. Especially for the lack of privacy. I guess the goal is to have everything on line so our daily lives can be tracked 24-7...
The "One World" is on the horizon...ok, I'll get off my soapbox...sorry...

I was in a bank similar to the one you showed. I was with my granddaughter and, thankfully, she knew what to do. I assume that the person we were talking to was upstairs since that is where the container with our checks went. It was a strange experience.
I'd love to visit Gatlinburg! Heck, I'd love to visit ANYwhere about now, lol. Love that you include Disco in your travels; is it difficult finding pet-friendly rentals? Your grandson and his girl make an amazing-looking couple!
Wow, that cabin is something else, very swanky! What a lovely vacation, and safe, too. Your grandson is SO handsome! I love the joke about cows & elephants! Every time I even TRY to eat a salad, the lettuce has been recalled.

I suffer from the malady...I want to fall asleep as soon as I get up in the morning! :)

Just like on an airplane I can't sleep in the car, however if I'm behind the wheel on a trip I get sleepy. Sounds like Skye, trips are not a favorite of hers. Sounds like you had a nice trip. You were brave, I wouldn't go anywhere inside to eat!
It looks like you had a lovely time in the cabin. We still are not allowed trips like this in the UK, and whenever we are inside we all have to wear masks. I can't see things getting back to normal until someone comes up with a vaccine and that could be a year!

I always like to see the pictures of your grandson and girlfriend. They are such a handsome couple. Disco is so content on his lap. The Pirate Show sounds fun. Wow, that's strange about the banks now. I haven't heard of that yet. I do all my banking through ATM - thankfully haven't had to go in yet. I love the stalker photo of the dog haha. You asked why my son had to wear the lei like a crown in the photo.
It was one of those places where the photographer goes from table to table and takes everyone's photo.
He plopped it on Mark's head and said smile, thank you and was on his way. This 6 year old wasn't too keen on feeling silly in public like that.

Gatlinburg sounds like a fun town. Wev'e been there twice but did not get out of the car either time. Once coming home from the Carolinas helping at the Shoe Box stuffing factory in 2013 and the other a day trip out of Ridgecrest in the 1980's. It had changed and grown a lot between those times but was pretty on both.
I change off griving with Mrs. Jim because driving makes me sleepy but she has to be very tired to sleep.
I'm glad Disco knows his P's and Q's to liking your young lady guest. But then she always seems very likeable.
I am glad too that your DIL doesn't have to have kids in her classroom. But I think the book companies are shirking their customer obligation in not making really neat on-line class naterial for a better learning experience. They've had all summer.

What a fabulous family vacation. We haven't been to Gat. in many years. You have a lovely family:) As a retired teacher, I feel for your daughter. Our schools started back last week (in school) but a few teachers are teaching virtually from their classroom for those who have opted to do the viral thing. My two grandkids are "in" school much to their delight, but I sure am praying hard for their safety every single day! I always love the funnies and other things you post at the end. Where do you find them all??? You always have something to make me laugh or smile....and I need lots of laughs and smiles these days. Who doesn't???
