TAKE A WALK WITH ME DOWN HODGEPODGE ROAD ☺
(By - I LOVE NATURE'S BEAUTY)
I CAN'T
By Debbie Freeman McAnally
(Borrowed from Linda Chapman's Blog)“You can, until you can’t”
You can call your mom or dad, until you can’t.
You can hang out with your brothers or sisters - until you can’t.
You can hug your kids and tell them you love them one more time - until you can’t.
You can hang out with your grandkids and have sleepovers and messes everywhere - until you can’t.
You can text a friend, until you can’t.
You can tell someone you love them, until you can’t.
You can do A LOT of things, until you can’t -
So why waste a SINGLE moment of ANY day being mad or angry. Resentful or bitter?
Why choose conflict over grace?
Bitterness over love?
Stubbornness over compromise?
We have absolutely no control over this life and how many days we will get to live it.
So don’t waste it.
Because before you know it, all the things you let get in the way of what’s important, won’t seem so important anymore when you “can’t”…..

For icy doorsteps in freezing temperatures: Get warm water and put Dawn
dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't
refreeze.

I saw that poem on Linda's blog and it is worth reading again, which I just did that. so true. I like your favorite house at the bottom, but would have to hire it cleaned, think of the dirt that would gather in those beautiful petals... does it come with a spraywasher? ha ha.. I always thinks of the amount of work involved. I saw my cousins 2 stunning chandeliers in her living/dining room and said they are gorgeous, who is going to dust all that dangling crystal. she said what dust? ha ha
Even the young generations will find that version offensive.
I do love Nature. It is so beautiful in every season of the year. Lots of information in your post today. Thanks for sharing.
Such cute memes and you know I would love to be sitting on one of those park benches in the first picture. I would never get tired of sitting there. I think I will stick with the Bible that I have.. We have a beautiful week ahead of us here and I hope you do too.
That poem is so good, Sandie! I'm going to print it and put in my treasure box. This street art is sure arresting; I think my favorite place to be (in my imagination) is the first. The Bible verse seems a bit disturbing to me; maybe I'm just old.
This medical mistakes list is so good to know!!! I don't believe this bible, I think it must be a joke! LOVE these painted buildings!!
A lovely place to walk. That poem is touching. I don't like them having a new bible. That street art is amazing. That's funny about hiding the candy stash. Have a great day.
Not liking that GenZ bible at all. "nough said"
I do love that poem and will have to print it for myself.
I will be in each day and moment until "I can't"
Sue
That poem "I Can't" is really nice, Sandie. And a gentle reminder too. I LOVE that white rose house! The icy doorsteps tip sounds like you could slip on the Dawn dishwashing liquid, hmmm. It would be so nice to take a stroll along that peaceful walkway. How pretty that is with the white flowering tree. The hiding the candy stash from the kids pic is too funny. I think I'll send that one to Jess, as she has Halloween candy until the Spring sometimes haha. I enjoyed your fun post today, Sandie. Oh, and the Bible is the Bible, good and true.

I will need to try the Dawn for our icy steps. TFS Good idea to keep candy away from husbands too. :-) Janice
Good stuff for us, Sandie! I've seen that poem before and it's a good one to remind all of us, especially during the holidays! Not so sure about that Bible translation but...
What an eye opening post...did not know about the GenZ bible - there is much about this translation that would seem offensive to me. I adore the photo of that lovely sidewalk...so pretty...your poem is wonderful and oh how true. Thanks too for sharing the medical mistakes that may be avoided. Good information to have on hand. Hope you have a lovely day friend. Hugs!

When I read that I realized we MUST watch our minds and actions or we WILL follow an old rough road. We enjoyed the whole entry, I am so amazed at some of the artistry in building decor. The ROSE front is striking and makes one wonder how they did that.
Anyway, love you lady and thanks to allowing us to visit.
Sherry & jack.
I'm not surprised by the Gen Z version of the Holy Bible. I find everything about this new culture offensive, false, and down right ugly. 😊
Your favorite picture, is that one dimensional or three dimensional? Someone certainly has some skills!
I'm appalled at the GenZ version of the Bible. But is it a Bible? No. The Bible is the living word of God and I'm pretty sure God wouldn't talk like that to get people's attention. Lovely houses. Great info on the medical mistakes. And the Dawn soap and hot water?? I think it would be slick when thawing out. :)
Love it! :)
I need a dose of candy to brighten my day, I think...and I don't have a skerrick of candy at hand...and that sure ain't handy!!!
Take care. :)
