An interesting walk . . .
The heart of a woman
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without new shoes so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail
you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.
A LITTLE HUMOR:
Something to think about:
Inspiration:
WHY WOMEN CRY A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally, he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed." "You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides." Please send this to five beautiful women you know today. If you do, something good will happen - You will boost another woman's self-esteem! Question:What hint or suggestion can you give to another woman? Sharing our wealth of knowledge. My hint or suggestion - would be to slow down, take a breath, say a prayer and tell God one thing you are thankful for. All credit for photos goes to the respective owner. |

my mother, my 2nd mother, my aunt Helen, and my dad's mother all fit this post. My mothers mother, and myself are total opposites of all that is sad here, I am like my dad, my grandmother was like I am. so this fits some women but most of them are from the past, todays women not so much. the crying fits both men and women these days. the past I came from, women cried men never did, now men can cry too.. and some men make much better mothers than some women.
I cry the most when angry, and you do not want to get in my way if I get mad enough to cry.
I love this post. Women do not get enough credit for all they do. Thank you for sharing all of this today! Love you !
I read your post and went back to read it again to see what I liked most. Each and every poem, story, quote, is all spot on and I love them all. I am one who cries...I cry when I am hurting, and I cry when I am overwhelmed. But, I also cry when I am happy! I cry before the Lord for all of HIS goodness. Great Post.
These are all so good! I can't pick one that I like best, but I can tell you that if I started answering in interpretive dance people would probably run away! :)
That is a beautiful saying. Thanks for sharing. Like the humor too! True, backwards had to be hard for her. That's different with the shoe rack. Why woman cry is so touching. Yes, being thankful and telling God is a great idea.
Those are all good. No need to pick just one.
Oh, golly, next stupid question I hear I'm breaking out in a freestyle jig. *giggle* That is so cute. It's always good to thank our loving Holy Father for all our many blessings. 😊
I love the coat rack by the floor idea!! And the stupid questions quote, that is SO funny!!
I guess I cry for all of those reasons. Never really knew my Grandmas or aunts so I can't say how we are all the same.
I like a man that's tender enough to express his feelings and included in that is the ability to get teary. I think as we get older its more evident.
Love the interpretive dance cartoon..I may have to use it myself!

A lovely post. I'm 84 and I still miss my mom.
Soooo good! I'll never be the kind of woman like my mother and grandmother. I don't believe they were born strong, but rather, just stepped up to the plate and did what needed done. I just wish I'd told her how very much she was appreciated.
A great post!! I laughed out loud about the interpretive dance!! Good thoughts and good giggles!! xo
What a thoughtful and lovely post to show what a woman is all about. The dancing quote is delightful too. The "heart of a woman" poem is awesome.
The quote, "the beauty of a woman" I used on our blog when we first started many years ago. It was one of the first quotes I ever used. The last suggestion you shared are wise words for sure. And that coat rack off the floor to hang shoes is very creative and unique. Great idea.
Have a terrific week, Sandie.
