A WALK IN NEW YORK CITY FOR THANKSGIVING. . .
Twas The Night Of Thanksgiving
Author Unknown
Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep, I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned - the dark meat and white, But I fought off the temptation with all of my might.
I tossed and I turned with sweet anticipation, As the thought of a snack became infatuation. So I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, 'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie. But I managed to yell as I soared past the trees... Happy eating to all! Pass the cranberries, please!
May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump, May your potatoes & gravy have nary a lump, May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize, May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.
Happy Thanksgiving

What are you the 'most' thankful for?
Living in a free country, the ability to worship God, and my family.

YOU SAID: Living in a free country, the ability to worship God, and my family.
YES I am thankful for the same things. Will be missing for a couple days having internet and computer prolems...
Love ya
How funny, I just watched a Christmas show, and the couple ended up in New York. There were so many people and the streets were busy. This photo of the walk in New York is so pretty with the trees all lit up. To answer your question.....there are too many things to mention that I'm thankful for, but I keep them in my heart. Well, I wanted to make sure I came over and wished one of my dearest blog friends a Happy Thanksgiving. My son is making the turkey as I write this. He is using a lemon pepper dressing this year. We'll see how it turns out. ; )

What a fun and festive poem! It perfectly captures the humor and joy of Thanksgiving feasting (and a bit of the aftermath!). The playful tone and rhythmic flow make it a delightful read. It reminds me of how the season is all about indulging in delicious food, sharing laughter, and enjoying those special moments with family and friends.
Your closing wish—may your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs—is definitely something we can all wish for! 😄
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving filled with delicious food, fun, and laughter!
