FEBRUARY 4 If You Could Pick One Superpower Which One Would You Chose?

A magical walk in Hellebo's Forest, Belgium

Its winter let's play a fantasy game.

Pick one or make up one and share why.

  • Super Strength: Enhanced physical strength beyond normal human limits.
  • Flight: The power to fly without the need for any external devices.
  • Invisibility: The ability to become unseen to the naked eye.
  • Telepathy: Reading and communicating with others through thoughts.
  • Super Speed: Moving at speeds beyond normal human capabilities.
  • Elasticity: Stretching and deforming one’s body like rubber.
  • Super Intelligence: Exceptional cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Time: Temporarily freezing time.  Going back in time.  Going forward in time.
  • Enhanced Senses: Heightened senses like super hearing, sight, etc.
  • Photographic Memory: Remembering and recalling information with perfect clarity.

  • I had a hard time with these - I'd like them all.  At first, I thought about going back in time - I miss my kids when they were little - they were so cute, sweet, and happy.  I also would love to go back and see my mom and brother again. Of course I would love to meet Jesus back in his day.

But................... if I had to pick only one I would pick being invisible - like a fly on the wall - you know why?

I AM NOSEY!  I admit it.  I would love to see what other people are doing - to kind of spy on them.  Is that bad?

"I jumped on the fat free cottage cheese bandwagon and made the flat bread! I ended up using this as a base for a pizza and it was delicious! Found recipe on one of the weight watcher groups but I doubled it to fill the pan. A tub of fat free cottage cheese, 4 eggs, a pinch of garlic powder, salt, pepper and oregano. Mix in blender. I think I baked 30 mins on 350 and wait for it to completely cool before removing from parchment paper."

I saw this on Facebook and copied it.  I made it and I have to say it was pretty darn good considering it was cottage cheese.   Next week I am going to try to make a smoothie with cottage cheese and chocolate.

What do you think about this quote?

" I have accepted fear as part of life--specifically the fear of change. I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says turn back." Erica Jong

It is impossible to lick your elbow.

I don't know which super power I would want. Invisibility would be kind of awesome. I don't know how many times I've used the phrase "I would love to be a fly on the wall right now".
I've seen those cottage cheese recipes and have wanted to try them. Good to know that it does taste good.

I would like to return to 1984 and start over from there, but have the knowledge I have now. wait, lets go to 1980. I am super nosy. just thought of a post. thank you
I would try the cottage cheese thing but can't eat it.. sounds good to me. I love pizza..

That list of powers is interesting. I'd like to go back in time to when my kids were little, and also to talk more with my parents. I wouldn't want to go into the future though. I would also love to fly!
The cottage cheese recipe is so interesting!

I would choose super strength, it takes a lot of strength to get through the hardships of life. At my age I now have very little strength and would love to have some again. I love cottage cheese and often have it with some blueberries mixed in or with applesauce on top. Making bread with it is something I've never tried. I'll have to try it sometime. Thanks for sharing.

I would choose back in time and invisibly! It would be fun!
I am also on fat free, sugar free… at the moment. Weight watcher’s meeting do not exist anymore here, only on the net. Ww meetings were fun.

That trail in the forest in Belgium is so mysterious and pretty. And to see all those purple flowers growing everywhere along the way! You made me chuckle on why you chose your super power, being invisible. I've always thought it would be so amazing living back in the time of Jesus, and especially walking with Him and listening to Him. How special that would be. And to visit the Holy Land, and be in the places where He walked. The flat bread sounds interesting, and to think it's made with cottage cheese! The "fear" quote is a good one. Reminds me of when I drive up the mountain and know there are drops, and yet I still keep going, or driving the freeways, which is my big fear. I always love that picture of you sipping your hot cup of coffee at the end. You have to show me how you do that.

Wishing you the most beautiful February days, Sandie.

Gurl, you and I are so alike! Even before I read your answer, I picked invisibility ... for the same reason. I'm going to try this cottage cheese pizza dough; thanks for the idea!

I was going to say Photographic Memory, but changed my mind because there may be things I don't won't to remember. I guess mine would be having the ability to go back in time. Not forward in time though...I would have to much stress. Who would have ever thought of making pizza bread dough out of cottage cheese? Not me! This looks and sounds good. I'm going to give it a try and not even going to tell Sam until he eats it and loves it. Let me see if I can lick my elbow...lol. Nope..doesn't work. Enjoy this gorgeous weather..assuming it has hit your area by now.

Those choices you listed here are difficult for me as to which one I would want. Maybe, invisibility, like you? Being a fly on the wall would be a lot easier, for sure! That pizza crust looks great, too, but made with cottage cheese? Who would have thunk it? Blessings, Sandie!

I would pick intelligence because my brain is my favorite toy. And because it would let me make wise choices and work on my resilience.

These super powers are so interesting! Well, first, I would never want to read someone's mind! Can you imagine how frightening that would be? And knowing what everyone thinks could really change our relationships with them. And it would give no one any privacy! Oh good grief, I am making such a big deal about an imaginary game! I just cannot think which one I would want, maybe the problem solving one.

If I could have a Super Power I think I would pick Flight. My childhood was less than desirable and I used to dream about being able to fly away never to return. I would never pick reading someone's minds. That might be too scary. Ignorance is bless, right?! I'd rather remain dumb in that respect. By the way, I'm nosey too. That's why I do a lot of genealogy research. Guess that makes me a Time Traveler already. ❤️

I would choose photographic memory. I've been terrible with names forever and envy folks who remember names. That's it!! xo

I wish I could see in the future. I think I would have enjoyed life when my daughter was little more. I would know it would all be good. And what I thought mattered did not matter at all.

I would like to turn back time just five minutes before something happens. That way I can say "Bless you" before someone sneezes.

I like that path in Belgium. Did they paint the stones in tomato ketchup?

Tried licking my elbow. Fell off the chair. I am writing this from hospital. Thanx!

    God bless.

I guess I choose memory. So you want to spy on us? That's cool about the flatbread. I don't like change. How do you lick your elbow????

I guess I would go back in time. There are so many questions about my folks and their early history that I would love to know more about. Also my in laws early history from their lips would be fascinating.

Oh I would love freezing time and the super power of flight. Both of these would be special. Your flatbread looks excellent. I make a zucchini crust for pizza. It is really good. Hope you are having a wonderful February day. Hugs!

My first thought was invisibility too. Then I thought about all it and do I really want to hear all the things that are said when no one knows you are listening? Not really. Time travel, that is it. It would be great to go back in time and spend more time with loved ones we have lost. I never met Barb's mom, I am sure she was a great person and would love to have met her.

Great post! I love how you broke down the superpower options and made it relatable by sharing your personal choice. Invisibility is definitely tempting—who wouldn’t want to eavesdrop on life without being noticed? Also, the cottage cheese pizza idea sounds intriguing; I’m curious how the smoothie will turn out! As for the quote, it really speaks to the courage needed to face change. A perfect reminder that fear is normal but shouldn't stop us from moving forward.
