I spent a lot of my days at doctor offices I was not planning on doing.  I went for an echocardiogram.  Then the cardiologist and he did an EKG.
I thought he would say that nothing was wrong like last year.  However, he said my echo and EKG showed I was in AFIB. I had no earthly idea what that was at the time. I ended up on a calcium channel blocker and a blood thinner. I already take so much medicine. He asked what my goal was and I said not to have a stroke.
I went to the EP cardiologist yesterday, to see what I needed to have done to treat my AFIB.
He recommended at ABLATION.
I also went for a sleep study, and I have moderate sleep apnea.  I'll have to get a device for that too.
Lastly, I need to see a nutritionist.  I have been doctored to death.
Forgive me being late on reading blogs.

Saw these silly skeletons on top of the van????

Went to visit, clean, and put flowers on my mother and brother's grave.

Remember it was grandson's 25th birthday and took him out to dinner - with wife and little one.

The restaurant was called the Iberian Pig and it was a Tapas Bar.

And yes, this was my bite of octopus - I ate for my grandson.

Speaking of my grandson - he started a new job this month.  And it is all virtual.  He has an office at home.  He made and designed this all by himself and his room looks GREAT!  His computer is on the opposite side and when he is online - that is his background.

Last year I was looking all over for these Evergreen trees. I could not find any by my home.  On the way to all my doctor visits - there they were in all their glory.  Ever spring around Easter - the top of the tree grows a top that looks like a cross.  It was beautiful.

This photo is from Terri D. Her blog is "Your Friend From Florida".

Okay, I am done chatting - love, Chatty Crone.

Dear Sandie, so many doctor appointments and some unexpected results and recommendations.
Bless your heart.
Octopus is a food I have never tried and don't want to, it makes me squeamish.
LOL
Glad you got some time with your grandson.
Your bird illustration with the glasses at the end of your post made me laugh. I love it.
I will keep you in my prayers, dear friend.

Happy birthday to your grandson. He did a fantastic job for his work backdrop. When I worked for the bank we had bank options for our computer backdrops when working from home. They did not want to see anything else. So corporate. My husband has a Bi-pap machine. They even made him have a loop put in him for about 2 years because they thought he had AFIB. Hope all goes well for you. Janice

I didn't get out to look for the pine trees this year. The ones I saw when I posted that photo were from my part-time job with the State of Florida. Glad you got to see some of them!! Congrats to the grandson on the new job! His home office looks quite nice and the backdrop is very professional looking! Well done! Enjoy that little one!! xo

Wow, that sounds like a lot of stuff happening at once for you! I'm glad you got it all checked out, and hopefully they will be able to control things with medication and perhaps some "lifestyle changes". I will be praying for you as you navigate these issues. Love the family/wedding pictures, and I know that sweet great-grandbaby is being enjoyed. Congratulations on your grandson's new job. How nice to be able to work from home! We never had that option back in our day. It sure could've solved a lot of issues for people. Oh, octopus? Yikes, not sure I'd like that. I tried squid once (by mistake), and it was just too chewy for my taste. Hey, we did the "jobs" theme on Tuesday 4 today, in case you want to join in! You had the idea first!

I'm sorry about all the appointments. It does get old, but I'm glad you're getting things checked and put on meds.
Congrats on the wedding!
Happy Birthday to your grandson and how nice to go out with them. His work backdrop looks great!

Your April has been so very busy, Sandie! I hate that you had to see the doctor so many times, but sometimes it can't be helped. Getting older isn't for sissies, that's for sure! Happy Birthday to Andy once again and congrats on his new job. How great to be able to work successfully from home. Have a blessed May!

They do say when we get older we'll do more traveling. What they don't say is that the traveling will be to Doctor Appointments! I've had my share too! Better to find out what' s wrong and be treated than not! Congrats to your son on the new job. It's nice to be home when working but it's not easy as there are many distractions. My youngest son, started going to the library to get away from the house, and he missed the interaction with coworkers. Good luck to your grandson! Take good care and be thankful for those appointments. It may add years to your life!

Oh my, I'm so sorry. I have had many ablations, but they are in my knee. And I am getting one in my back next month. Have you decided to do it? I think they are pretty common and effective. Gosh, you and me both. We have at least 8 doctor appointments next month. I really like reading about what you are going through. And this way, I will know how to pray. Please keep me updated on everything, I know how stressful it all is.

Oh dear Sandie, Prayers for all you are going through. That's a whole lot of doctors and procedures in your future. Hopefully they will solve the issues. Enough all ready!
Love the wedding photos and your precious grandbaby.
Happy birthday to the grandson and his new job too.
Take care
Sue

Hi Sandie... girl...I am praying for you. I have recently found that many of my freinds are experiencing AFIB. Praying that the doctors can make the necessary decisions to put you back to where you need to be with no further issues. This is a great review of your April month. Lots of good things..beginning with your precious grand. Please keep me updated on the heart issue.... big hugs coming your way

I'm sorry about the Afib and all the doctor appointments. Please don't worry about us -- take care of yourself as best you can. ❤️

I am with you about doctor appointments and tests. They seem endless, don't they? And is it just me, or do they send you reminders for days and days? You have to keep confirming you are going and swear you will be there on time! Now, can YOU be kept waiting? Of course!! LOL! Take care, my fellow Georgia friend. YAY! WE got rain!!

Sorry to hear about the AFIB Sandie. No worries about commenting. Your health comes first and you have had a busy April. I have thoroughly enjoyed this post, thank you so much for sharing all. The wedding photos are great and such a sweet grandbaby. Happy Birthday to your grandson and love that background he put together. You tried octopus? I had some in a paella a Spanish friend made me about 40 years ago, I haven't had any since, lol! But as my wise daughter-in-law always tells me, meat is meat :) Take good care of yourself and I wish you good health and good doctor's appointments. If I missed anything, loved all your goings on.

I'm so sorry about the AFIB and resulting orders, Sandie! Yep, speaking from experience, if it's not one thing it's 65 others. Tom had an alcohol septal ablation a few years ago and one of my Bible study friends is scheduled next week. It seems that sort of thing's becoming as common as tonsillectomies. Please try not to worry.
You are so brave to eat that octopus; I don't think I could do that.

Wow, you've had a lot of doctors appointments. Sorry to hear about the AFIB, Hope they can get everything worked out for you
I would not be able to try the octopus.

Those evergreen trees are very nice, and so beautiful with the Cross on top of the branch. That's neat that Andy's new job will be working from home. His office looks all ready to go. Oh my, you ate octopus just for Andy! Not sure if I would even take a bite haha. But the Tapas Bar food looks really good! So good of you to visit, clean, and put flowers on your mother's site. My brother usually keeps up with that, and I'm thankful for it. I'm sorry to hear about the health issues that are going on right now. I used to always help the kids with their homework if they didn't understand something, and Algebra was always difficult for me, even in school. A dear family photo of you all at the wedding. Can you believe it's almost May? : )

Sounds like you need some really good nutrition if you are taking a lot of medication. Do you juice at all? Juices are great for detoxing and adding nutrients to your diet.
Lots of medication can often interact negatively with other medications and your body if taken long term.
I don't take any mainstream medication if I can help it. Have you tried a naturopath? Might be worthwhile as they could sort out a program that would balance your system.
Love and hugs 🤗🤗

Sounds like you have had a very full and eventful month.
I'm impressed that you ate octopus just for Andy. I don't think I could bring myself to do that.
Enjoyed the pictures of the wedding and grandbaby, and am saying a prayer that your health issues are successfully resolved.

I'm sorry to hear about the AFIB. I don't know much about it. I do have a friend who has it and she ended up with a pacemaker. It doesn't cure it just is a tool, similar to my cardiac loop recorder. Its always a bit shocking when we get this type of news. Thank God for the medical advancements we have now.
Nope I wouldn't eat octopus - shell food and some seafood allergies. I wouldn't take the chance. Enjoyed all your photos, the wedding and of course your family.

Sweet wedding photos. No math for me! I have A-fib. Blood thinners have given me bruises everywhere. I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. I am keeping you in my prayers. How nice of you to visit their graves. ((HUGS)) I don't think I would eat octopus. Congratulations on his new job. I wish him success. You take care.

It sounds like April was a true whirlwind of health updates and heartwarming family moments, but that photo of you as a happy grandma says it all! I’m so sorry you’ve been "doctored to death" lately, though seeing those evergreen crosses on the way to your appointments feels like such a beautiful, timely sign of encouragement. Between the tapas adventure and the math puzzles, which part of your month brought you the most unexpected smile?

Goodness me ... that is a lot happening at the moment.
Keeping you in my prayers as you navigate and come through your health issues.
