Job Losses and the economy

"Many things which cannot be overcome when they are together - yield themselves up when taken little by little." – Plutarch

This quote is for me today. My husband was laid off Tuesday. It's not that I was totally shocked or anything. I know about the economy. It's happened before. Plus I knew his contracts were getting fewer and fewer the last 90 days.

Yet, it's a punch in the gut when you 'add' it to everything else going on - especially paying for a wedding.

However I'm going to choose to 'think in little compartments' - on a day to day basis - looking at the next 24 hours and only the next 24 hours. And for the next 24 hours - I'm okay.

Chatty taking one day at a time . . .

Shheeshhhh....life just keeps getting better and better, huh?
At least being laid off, he can sign up for unemployment, and be at the end of a very long line.
Hang in there....life is just full of curves!

Thank you. I didn't know you were out of work too. It's rough. Good luck to you too.

Sorry to hear. Keep him motivated to get out and search for another contract.

Things are out there but it is a tighter job market lately.
