Monday Musings

Recieved a wink from God today when I opened my mail - talked about joy yesterday.

We may not be able to give much but we can always give the joy that springs in a heart that is in love with God. Mother Teresa

So what did you do this weekend?

We went to Wal Mart and the old grandson - who has always wanted a skate board - found one for $9.00. $9.00 for the elbow and knee pads. And $22 for the helmet. He bought the skake board and we bought the rest!

Now all he mastered was the driveway, but boy he thought he was the greatest! Grandpa was tired.

He also went to a bowling birthday party. Here is mom and grandson.

I'm just playing around with Picasa - I need to learn how to make the pictures bigger.

Happy Birthday to Reese Witherspoon - wikipedia -

Witherspoon was born at the former Southern Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, where her parents were living while her father was a student at Tulane University medical school. Her father, John Witherspoon, is a Georgia-born otolaryngologist who previously served as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army reserves. Her mother, Betty, is from Harriman, Tennessee, has a Ph.D. in pediatric nursing and works as a professor of nursing at Vanderbilt University.

Witherspoon was selected as a fashion model for a florist's television advertisements at age seven, which motivated her to take acting lessons. At age eleven she took first place in the Ten-State Talent Fair. Witherspoon received good grades in school; she loved reading and considered herself "a big dork who read loads of books." On mentioning her love for books, she said, "I get crazy in a bookstore. It makes my heart beat hard because I want to buy everything."

Witherspoon is proud of the "definitive Southern upbringing" she received, which, as she said, gave her "a sense of family and tradition" and taught her about "being conscientious about people's feelings, being polite, being responsible and never taking for granted what you have in your life."

Good Morning Sandi Sweetie...
Beautiful post. I love your pics of DH and DGS. Just beautiful. Aren't GrandPas just the best? They are always so willing to share. Tickles me pink. Tony (my DH) is the same way. He just melts around the kids and grands. If I would have agreed he would have loved lots more kids. (3) was enough for me.

Your daughter is beautiful sweetie. She looks like you. Such nice pics of her and DS. Thank you for sharing.

Have a beautiful Monday. Country hugs...Sherry

What a nice weekend :) I was going to ask you what you used for your photo groupings. You did those in Picasa?

Reese Witherspoon might be my favorite young actress. She seems to be all that wikipedia described. If she isn't, she must be a good actress. I loved her in Sweet Home Alabama.

Good morning Sandi, Andy looks like he is having a good time. Marissa loves her skateboard, she got it as a reward for doing good in school for 3 weeks. The reward and pay program the Dr put her own.
I love to see the little ones enjoy themselves it gives them such a scene of accomplishment.
You are doing good with your new camera, nice pictures.

That Reese is the cutest thing ever! Funny how kids want those skate boards today. Out in CA they were a big thing and they had parks just for them. I think they have a park for them in Roswell maybe?

Hey Sandie!

Looks like everyone had a wonderful weekend! I'm sure Andy will have fun on that skate board all Summer long! My kids want a skate board but we don't have a paved driveway so they don't have anywhere to ride it.

Hugs,
Angela

You already know about MY weekend... I'm so glad that you and yours had a much better one!

I hope Andy really enjoys his "Wheels" over the coming months!

I have no idea how to use Picasa, though I think I might have gotten a little bit of one about how to use the same pic again instead of having to upload it again into a new post. I never seem to have the time to study very many new things like that. :(
