Fun Friday - Take a laugh break . . .

For the cracked at heart -

The Storm

They were together in the house

Just the two of them.

It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and

each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump.

She looked across the room and admired his strong

appearance...and wished that he would take her in his

arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm.

Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out..... She screamed..

He raced to the sofa where she was cowering..

He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms.

He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back.

He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him.

The storm raged on....

They knew it was wrong....

Their families would never understand... So consumed were

they in their FEAR that they heard no opening of doors...

just the faint click of a camera......

Hellmann's Mayonnaise - a bit of history.

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England . In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico , which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York .

This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico . But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York . The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.

The people of Mexico , who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day. The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as -

Sinko De Mayo.

WHAT??? You expected something educational from me? You need a shot of Tequila after that don't you?

A must read for Grandparents... (Those who aren't will love it, too.)

At one point during a game, the coach called one of his 9-year-old baseball players aside and asked, 'Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?' The little boy nodded in the affirmative.

'Do you understand that what matters is whether we win or lose together as a team?' The little boy nodded 'yes'.

'So,' the coach continued, 'I'm sure you know, when an out is called, you shouldn't argue, curse, attack the umpire, or call him a pecker-head. Do you understand all that?' The little boy nodded 'yes' again.

He continued, 'And when I take you out of the game so another boy gets a chance to play, it's not good sportsmanship to call your coach 'a dumb ass' is it?' The little boy shook his head 'NO'.

'GOOD', said the coach.

'Now go over there and explain all that to your grandmother.'

Hey, I want to thank all my cracked eggs friends for sending me their funny forwards. I love yah.

Happy Birthday to Dennis Day - I liked him too. Wikipedia

In 1948, Day married Peggy Almquist; the marriage lasted until his death in 1988. The couple had ten children. One of his brothers, Jim McNulty, was married to actress/singer Ann Blyth.

Day died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease), in Los Angeles, California. His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is at 6646 Hollywood Boulevard. He is interred in Culver City's Holy Cross Cemetery.

Sounds like I have good taste, although slightly cracked.
