Thought for the day:

“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. He taught me that if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.” Roald Dahl (Thanks This Is Me)

REUNION NOTES AND MEMORIES:

Oh dear friends I've been writing and writing and writing - so much so it's almost a book and a book that is probably only interesting to me. I've included some memories this reunion brought up for me and some things I learned new.

Instead of posting it where the whole world can see it - I've put my memories in another place.

I learned something new on blogger today!!! Very exciting!!

How to make a separate page - post it - but not really post it on the blogs main face - if you will. And yes - some of you have already learned how to do it and are doing it already - I'm slow but sure.

It's on the side bar and if you're interested in my life's story (lol) and about what I learned at the reunion you can go there - at Memories (on the side bar) - and read it. If you don't have the time it's always there and you can come back later. You don't have to read it. You don't have to leave a comment - it is a win win situation for everyone.

Love,
sandie

We've got a lot in common...shopping, Rascal Flatts and believing that your heart is your heart is your best feature -- though your wisdom is right up there, sweet blog friend. Looking forward to looking at all of your reunion pictures.

Your sweet and giving heart is for sure your best feature! I am so blessed to have you as my friend. hugs, Linda

Hi Sandie, I read some of your 'story' --and will finish it later. I am so proud of you for coming out on the GOOD side of life --after a rough start...

I had a rough time also.. Did you read my blog on Forgiveness? I finally dealt with my childhood sexual abuse --but not until I was in my 50's.

Then at age 59, I met George and my life started anew... Thanks be to God for second chances in life---for both of us.

I love peanut butter pie also--but you can have the chocolate part... I also love Carrie Underwood's version of Amazing Grace. When I first heart it on TV, I had chills from head to toe.

Hugs,
Betsy

The song I love and I've never heard before. Who and what?? I couldn't find your player to see it. I didn't know about the separate page thing, either!! We got the same award, but now I can't give it to you!!

Congrats on the award, and I love your idea of perfection! So true.

What a lovely award to receive. Congratulations, and congrats also to the other winners. Those were actually some very good questions that you had to answer for this Award - a bit different from the usual thing. Well done you on creating your new page. Lovely quote by Roald Dahl by the way (I see you gave him a new name of Ronald. I'm sure he would prefer that!! Hee Hee!!)>

I am still playing catch up here.
I am wondering about the "page" thing. I don't think I have even ever heard of it. It's about all I can to do just plain everyday post!! :)
Yep!
and..thank you for the sweet comment you left! Made me feel so good.

Your heart is definitely one of your most wonderful features! You are also wise and witty and gracious and compassionate and curious and strong. I guess a good many of those are heart. I look forward to reading more of your story. blessings ~ tanna

Oh I will be visiting your page Memories for sure.

In fact your idea to document all the details of your reunion with your family got me thinking to do the same thing with my reunion memories. Memories fade unless you document them somewhere. I hope to do the same in my photo albums once I get them organized and consolidated. Someone in my family will appreciate the effort. I may not live long enough to know it, but someone will.

I so enjoy your blog. We are soooo alike.

Hi Sandie...How do you DO that? How do you put a separate page in the sidebar without posting on the blog? Hmmmm. Sounds good.

Enjoyed the post. Congratulations on your newest reward! You deserve it! Susan

Congratulations to you and the other recipients of the award. I really like your new look on your blog...loved learning more about you...I too love country music, Rascal Flats and Carrie Underwood.

You ARE also very talented, creative, and a tenacious researcher. I admire your openness and your consistency in your commitment to blog and share your life and thoughts with us!

We have had another back to back several weeks of company...our last guest went home today and we leave early Friday morning for Mammoth, to spend the weekend with friends and family.

This summer is flying by and we have been packing in lots of activity, company and experiences.... I miss not having the time to blog and visit...so hopefully the winter months will give me more of an opportunity....

Congrats on your award. I eat when I get stressed too. Maybe we could get together the next time we're both stressed and polish off a chocolate peanut butter pie :)

You are a very interesting lady, Mrs. Chatty!

I will be checking out your new page(s) - isn't it fun when an...ahem..."older" dog learns new tricks?!

Thanks for passing this on to me. I enjoyed reading yours. I will also make some special time to read your page. Great idea. I just don't want to rush through it.

I have to admit that promise breakers are one of my pet peeves too. If you aren't sure you'll do it, then don't commit.
