I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just in time for Fun Friday

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

I'm back - and I've unpacked - been thinkin' which is always dangerous. I found out I have 28 FIRST cousins - who can beat that - lol. I have lots of 2nd and 3rd cousins too - half of Indianapolis must be related to me. It was great fun. Found out some things I never knew - just have to assimilate it in my mind. And I finally found some people that looked like me! And I have found people who chat like me!

Angela and I had the same kind of weather last week! Apparently West Virginia and Indiana were hot!

If you have a new button on your blog and I don't have it - please let me know!

Ever heard of the new fad body planking? This is cat body planking. Can you plank? I can plank - on the floor!

Thank you Linda B:

No English dictionary has been able to explain the difference between the two words COMPLETE and FINISHED, in a way that's easy to understand.

Some people say there is no difference between COMPLETE & FINISHED. I beg to differ because, there is :

When you marry the right woman, you are "COMPLETE".

And when you marry the wrong one, you are "FINISHED"!

And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are ... "COMPLETELY FINISHED" !!!

Game of the week:

Interesting picture?

"Little Richard" as a child:

This is amazing to see. It's Richard Wayne Penniman (aka Little Richard) about fifteen years before "Tutti Frutti, oh, Rudy...." If you're familiar with early period Beatles, you'll know that McCartney was heavily influenced by Little Richard.

A-whop bop-a-lu bop a-whop bam boom

Here is some very rare footage of "Little Richard" as a child, when he was just starting out in the music biz' ... from some movie with Van Johnson ...

Jumping On the Bed
Gotta love women~ (Thank you Joyce)

A fifty-ish woman was at home happily jumping on her bed and squealing with delight.

Her husband watches her for a while and asks, "Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look?, What's the matter with you?"

The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, "I don't care, I just came from having a mammogram and the doctor says I have the breasts of an 18 year-old".

The husband said, "What did he say about your 56 year old bottom (word was changed here)?"

"Your name never came up," she replied.

How do you know when it is time to "hang up the car keys"?

I SAY WHEN YOUR DOG HAS THIS LOOK ON HIS FACE!

A picture is worth a thousand words!

Thank you Linda B.

Two little old ladies were sitting on a park bench outside the local town hall where a flower show was in progress.

The older one leaned over and said, ''Life is so boring. We never have any fun anymore. For $10.00 I'd take my clothes off and streak through that stupid, boring flower show!''

''You're on!'' said the other old lady, holding up a $10.00 note.

The first little old lady slowly fumbled her way out of her clothes and completely naked, streaked (as fast as an old lady can) through the front door of the flower show.

Waiting outside, her friend soon heard a huge commotion inside the hall, followed by loud applause and shrill whistling.

Finally, the smiling and naked old lady came through the exit door surrounded by a cheering, clapping crowd.

''What happened?'' asked her waiting friend.

''I won $1000 as 1st prize for 'Best Dried Arrangement'.''
Thank you Marydon

Tomorrow - I'll write about the reunion! It was AWESOME! Just needed to get settled today!

I only had 6 cousins on daddy's side, 2 of whom died at 50 and 53, and only 4 first cousins on mothers side. so 28 is mind boggling to me. i did know all of my cousins well and like sisters and brothers though. and now i have all their children, still only brings my total on both side of the family to 18 counting all 10 first cousins and their children. this is great and i know you had a wonderful time meeting and chatting. LOVE the cat and the melted ice cream...

I have around 28 first cousins also, many I haven't seen for years. It might be time for a family reunion.
Lots of fun here today. I love the dog in the car....I'm pretty sure Dodger gets that look on his face at times riding around with Doc :)

Welcome back. I've missed you. How wonderful that you were able to meet so many relatives. Families are great. I have 54 first cousins on my mother's side and 14 on my dads. It's nice to see yourself reflected in so many faces and personalities.

Welcome back! You've been missed!

Love the definitions of complete and finish. Very true. :-)

I don't mean to sound like the school marm corrector of cute clips, but the young keyboard artist isn't Little Richard. It is Sugar Chile Robinson in the movie No Leave, No Love. (Here is the YouTube clip, same as yours
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rcq93txBdtM)

The lady and her dog photo made my day. I have someone to share that with as soon as I leave here. :-)

And planking? Have you seen me get up from a prone position on the floor? I won't join you, but I'll give you a hand getting up if needed.

I am glad you had a good time. I hope whatever you need to assimilate isn't disturbing. I have a few relatives in Indiana and if it's true that you and I are related, I promise to behave better around you, so don't let whatever they said scare you. Not too much anyway.

Welcome home! These are really funny, and my favorite of all is the difference between complete and finished.

I don't know about planking, but this body has done a lot of plunking lately.

YAY! You're back! And how ambitious of you - you even redecorated! Like the new look.

Oh, I am chuckling - loved the complete/finished story. It appealed to both my "English major" heart, and my funny bone.

Woman jumping on bed - that was a great one.

I had heard the one about the "best dried arrangement" - but the version I heard had an old MAN doing the streaking. I like your version better. The "visual" was a little less disturbing!!!

Can't wait to hear all about the reunion. Sandie, I am so pleased that this happened in your life. I'm hoping that it filled up some holes - both in family background knowledge, and in some loneliness areas, too.

Take care, rest - and then continue to entertain us like you do!

xoxo YOU!

First of all, welcome back! I'm so glad you had a great time and met so many wonderful new relatives.

Wow, 28 first cousins!!! Quite the brood!!

As you know, I'm doing my genealogy right now. I am finding many 3rd and 4th cousins, and I'm learning all sorts of never-heard-before information. I'll be blogging about some of it.

Oh, that's a great quote. Thanks for posting it.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Love,
Patti

That's a lot of cousins. My mother was an only child and my father had one brother and one sister, so I don't have a lot of cousins. I bet that was fun catching up with everyone.

I think that cat must have been out in the heat too.

Isn't it weird to go to reunions and be around a bunch of people that look like you? I think I like the lady jumping on the bed joke the best hahahah

Well, look at me, right at the bottom of the heap!! Took me ages to scroll to the bottom of all the comments. I think you can take it that we're all glad to see you back - and back with a vengeance might I say. Really funny post. Too many goodies to mention, but I loved them all, especially the expression on that dog's face! Hee Hee! Fancy finding people that looked like you! Spooky!!

Welcome back! Another great post by Chatty ;-)

Isn't it amazing you met so many relatives you didn't even know you had? That must have been a bit overwhelming and exiting all at once. Did you use your tape recorder at all?

I loved that video of Little Richard...what an amazing little boy he was. My gosh, he must've learned to play the piano before he even began to speak! Did you see him pounding that key board? WOW! If he were on America's got Talent today, he'd make some waves ;-)

That game of the week by Bing was fun ... It reminded me a lot of another game I played called "Alice Greenfingers" and it was about growing and harvesting...I enjoyed it. I'll go back and play it again if it's still there later.

Have a wonderful weekend, Sandi and it's nice to see you back in blogland :-)

Love and hugs,
Doris and Gizzy
