Saturday Service Information

Some important advice about ticks.
TICK WARNING:

Please send this warning to everyone on your e- mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the
Warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up,

DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!!
They only want to see you dance naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday.. I feel so stupid.
Thank you Debby at Just Breathe

Now I read this on Jack's at Shiplog yesterday:

Now it will show you your house on the internet for you.  I thought it was a little hard to use but you know me . . .

Now Myna sent me this from Respite, Prosper

Are you interested when the flag of the U.S. is officially at half staff and why?  Here's the site for you.
 www.dailyflagstatus.com

Presumably, you're alerted any time the President and/or State officials declare the U.S./State flags be lowered to half staff.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

I thought this was GREAT - because sitting around being happy or miserable is a choice.

I have the power in me to sit here today and think of one negative thing after another and I bet in a couple hours I would be miserable and make everyone miserable around me (not that it doesn't sound temping at times - lol).
But who does it really hurt?
ME!
So why not use that same energy to think of positive things today?  And then I will feel good - will my mood affect others?  It is a good topic - why do negative moods wear off on people yet positives don't all the time?  I'm off track - doesn't matter.
God gave me today - another chance.  I slept until 9am!  I made myself a good cup of coffee.  We are going to the Avenger movie this afternoon.  I see I have some friends to answer emails too ☺ and friends posts to read ☺ and it's only 10:15AM.
TODAY IS GOING TO BE A GOOD DAY!
I hope that you have a good day too - let me know something good that has happened already.

SO REMEMBER:

 Love, Chatty

I love up-beat blog entries. yep they change my attitude, make me think,"WHAT AM I FUSING ABOUT?"
I know life is great, but if there is a problem, something in human nature wants us to think on it instead of all the good folk and beauty out there. YOU are part of that, good stuff, that lifts a spirit!
Nice to have met you, THANKS!

There are so few things we can control... being content and/or happy is not one of them! :)

Thank you for the inspiration. I am going out with Pooh Bear to a petting Zoo. I bet we have lots of fun and get a few photos.

this is sooo true, I sat and felt miserable becasue my blog was wiped out, but I made the decision to fight back, I started a new one, I called it when the bough broke, I hope you will find me,

That is true. Life is too short. Don't be miserable!

No one has come to my door about ticks, darn! Maybe they aren't interested in seeing me dance naked.

Hi Sandie...
Yep, it was a pretty good day. Had a delicious coffee drink at Dunkin Donuts, made a delicious breakfast for three guests and my hubs, bought a cute birthday present for a five year old, got a phone call from my son, and ate delicious Polish golumpki that I made. Thanks for the cute post. Susan

My son already had a tick this season while at 4-H. I was all excited for the info because it is suppose to be a bad year for them. That made it all the funnier! Have a blessed weekend!

Is this why you were so worried about me?!?! hehe, we don't want to scare people to death!! Enjoy you Sunday!!!

Arkansas Patti said...

Hay, it may be a scam but they did find a tick on me, right before they ran off shaking their heads. Maybe it was my dancing:))
I have found positive thoughts and attitudes are much easier to carry around and I am a pretty lazy person. You are so smart to chose well.

Angela said...

Hey Sandie! I stayed in bed until 10 this morning! lol It is nice to sleep in. Hope the movie was good!

Hi Sandie -

Cute mouse and true words. I worked in my garden today. There's nothing like being among veggies and flowers to put a smile on my face.

Blessings,
Susan :)

So thankful for that warning. I'll be very careful of anyone coming to my door....lol
I unfortunately made the choice today to be grumpy. At least it was later in the day though so I didn't ruin the whole day....lol

Interesting information. Not terribly useful for this Bear, but I'm sure of benefit to some Humans.

The one sweet thing that I noticed today is that I have all my senses...I can see, hear, touch, smell, and taste. What more can I ask for? I loved your 'positive' post today, Sandie. And have I told you how much I love your Header? The girls and me have been wanting to change our Header too. We are just waiting for the perfect picture...maybe someday.

It's Sunday morning and I am just catching up on Saturday posts. I love the saying...yes, life is too short. I'd rather be happy so that is my choice. There is always something good in every day! Hope your Sunday is a wonderful one!

Please add to that warning that some demand payment of $25 for an inspection fee, and that your spouse hollering in background, "MAKE IT RAIN!" does not help.

Nikki (Sarah) said...

I love the first naked dance one...and that little mouse....tooo cute. Sending you a stream of hugs. Hope Rick is doing way better

The street thing is kind of fun, it's similar to the view on Google Earth.

I'm not real good at sitting still for very long to begin with but sitting around thinking about negative things would be way too depressing. Positive energy is always best.

I'm still laughing about the TICK scam. Funny, indeed.
