Wednesday Hump Day

I need to catch up with some thank yous today!
I won her gift for her 1000th post!

She had the box filled with all wonderful things - for having tea with friends - perfect right? Now my mother's name was Rose so I especially loved the tea cup with the rose on it.

Okay it was $15+ shipping.

Her hubby had it packed fantastically in the box!  You wouldn't believe.

Let's see - a book on friends.  Three tea books.  A lace doily. A shopping bag with beautiful flowers on it below.  And an angel for my collection.  I love angels.

See the pretty crystal vase on the right?  I had no idea I would win all of this or win at all.

Isn't it sweet?  Susan is a sweet gal.  She called and sang to my grandson on his birthday (yes she has a great voice) and he'll never forget it!

And a lace tablecloth perfect for my dining room table - I needed one of these so bad!

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH SUSAN!

I also received two blog awards.  A lot of people don't accept them.  I do. I think for me if someone sends them I should accept them - unless I already have one then it should go to another blogger.  Just my thoughts.

The hardest thing is to pick others for it to go too!  Because I want to give it to everyone - but when you say that no one takes it.  So it's part of the job.  Forgive me ahead of time.

From  Jill - Chillin with Jill - I received the Blog on Fire Award:           THANK YOU!

I also have to tell you seven things about me and pick bloggers.

1.  My favorite color was always Kelly green - for years - but I like that new aqua color that is out now.
2.  I am 5'3".

3.  I am always 10 minutes late no matter how hard I try.
4.  I have been staying up until midnight this summer and trying to get up at 8am.
5. I am meeting 6 blog ladies tomorrow for lunch.
6.  I have my big yearly physical this Thursday and I am scared! lol
7.  My favorite color on me is black.

1.  Jim at Jim's Little Blog
2.  Jack at Shiplog
3.  Jerry  As the Cracker Crumbles
4.  Rob at Chrome Bear on the Range
5. Andy at The Little White House
6.  Joe at Joey's Pad
7.  Rick at Life out Loud

This men are all different and they are all faithful friends and they are loyal writers.
           THANK YOU.

So from Diane at Southhamsdarling -   I received the:

And to post 8 things about myself:

1. I am finding out how boring I am.  LOL
2. I don't like to be hot!  I love fans and air blowing on me.
3. In high school there were 771 students and my ranking was 71out of 771.  I used to be smart.
4. I am sure I have lost some of that smartness.
5. I am very orderly. I would rather have things in order then clean.
6. I am watching Big Brother.  That's bad - right?
7. I like reality TV - some of it anyway.  I think the Bachlorette should have chosen Sean last week. He;s the whole package - Jean and I decided that last week.
8. My favorite movie is It's A Wonderful Life.

Know that I would give this to some friends of mine that do not accept awards so the award goes to:

1.Pam - I'm also know as Ma
2.Nikki (Sarah) Gentle Recovery
3.Eva - Illustrator
4.Betty- A Bench With A View
5.Angela-West Virginia Treasures
6. Lois - Walking on Sunshine
7.JP - At a Quiet Corner
8. Ann at Ann's Snap and Edit
9. Judy at Cranberry Morning
10.  Cheri at Chez  Cheri
and I could go on and on - I am so sorry I can't list everyone.

And to leave you with something fun - I got this from   Jocelyn at His Pursuing Kindness (I stole it).

My four were - loyal - passionate - outgoing - sweet - what are yours?

Love, Chatty

My dad always said square dances and folk dances were best or church gatherings because no one would be left out. I don't accept awards or give awards because someone will be left out. For instance here I am in tears because you left me out:)

Thank you for giving me an award today. I've received many over the years and have been grateful for them all. But I do have a hard time passing them on to just a few so I do the everyone that wants one thing. Every blog I read deserves an award. Congrats to you on those you received. My four words were peaceful, loyal, passionate and thoughtful. That is me for sure!

betty said...

congrats on the awards! Thanks for passing one on to me; I'm terrible about passing them on myself, but you are so right if someone gives you an award, one should do something about it indeed!

my words this time around were patient, compassionate, dependent and peaceful

I have to say your words fit you to a "T".

Have a great lunch today; sounds like fun!

Awwww, Sandie. That was nice you showed the Giveaway gifts to all our blog peeps. So sweet of you.

Well, my words were Peace, Wrestless, Sincere, and Caring. Now if I have peace, how can I be wrestless? Guess I interpreted that as peace on some days, wrestless on others. Yeah. That fits. ha ha ha

Have a winsome Wednesday! Susan

Charismatic, sweet, thoughtful and outgoing

Then when I was looking to spell charismatic I found

dramatic, love, reserved and peaceful

You tell me???? LOL

Peaceful, love, serve and passionate! When you see these things you wonder who and how they are dreamed up. (And wonder how true they really are???)
Enjoyed the read and You B one lucky girl.
You have a side flag that says:
"Children are often spoiled because no one will spank Grandma."

That is probably TRUE!!! LOL

Before I forget, my four were lazy, happy, peaceful and patient. All good, except for the first one! HA! Thanks for the award. That is some prize you won! Love the teacup. Really pretty and nice that the pattern is a rose for you to remember your mom. Hope you had a nice Wednesday!

Dee said...

Nice gift box to get in the mail:) I think your words to describe you sound pretty accurate. Mine were reserved, witty, dependent, restless.Hmmmm...something to think about.

Betty said...

The first word I saw was outgoing. Now I don't think I'm shy, but I don't think I'm outgoing either. I kind of like to melt into the crowd if you know what I mean.

Just stopping by because I've been so busy and haven't been online much at all lately. I'm trying to get the dining room back in order and had to work in the backyard yesterday. It was about a foot high after all the rain! I'll catch up soon.

Cheryl @ TFD said...

The first 4 words I saw were lazy, happy, patient and genuine. I think they all pretty much fit except for the "patient". I'm not very! :)

Congrats on the awards!! And for winning that wonderful prize!!

Debbie said...

What a wonderful treasure box! The lace tablecloth alone would make me do the jig.

I loved the thing at the end. I thought you were supposed to start at the top. That's my excuse for the first word being LAZY.

The others were happy, genuine, patient.

I'm not patient...

Thank you too for mentioning me as one of the men who read your blog. I think you used to think men wouldn't make good blogging friends.

Thank you too for the heads up. I've slowed down and am not sure when and what I will post in the future for a couple of weeks. Some but who knows. Our London family is coming here tomorrow for holiday.
