What you see depends on how you view the world.

I have quite a few friends that have farms.  A lot have chickens.  You know that is kind of a miracle for a city girl to learn about.
I'm thankful to blogger because without it - I would never have met these gals.
I've gotten such a wonderful education.
I've seen some of the prettiest scenery ever.
I've learned about planting and growing.  (No not every one kills plants Chatty).
I've got to see lots of animals and I love animals.
Birds I never knew existed.
I've learned about farm fresh eggs.
Naturally made soaps.
England.  Yes England.
I've met women with real courage.
One who knows the names of almost every bird/animal out there.
Lots of great photography and they can really play with photoshop.
How they lay pipes.
I learned to enjoy cooking and baking more too!

And I'm thinking I have learned to thrift and have so much fun now doing it.
Tablescaping.
I've met a few of my followers who I now call friends in the flesh.
I've bought a beautiful Paris apron.
Learned about RV-ing.
Had some serious talks about religion.
Have friends I have laughed with and cried with.
Cancer - the loss of a husband - illnesses - prayers - both ways.
I have venting buddies.
I have a couple who I feel are like daughters to me.
Dogs - pugs - cats - pets.
From Ireland - Canada - Australia.
Teachers.
I've had people defriend me and get mad at me - YEP!
I have seen the prettiest photos.
I've been on trips with them all over the world and the US.
Crafts!
I've read one gal's love story.
Have a few men friends.
I get some mini sermons every day. Bible verses.
I've laughed and cried.
Flowers and birds - color galore.
And I have met fellow survivors - I had no idea how many existed - when I was younger I thought I was so alone in my troubles.

Have any of you learned anything you didn't know before? Have I forgotten something?
I'm seeing dirt in a whole new light.

Love, chatty

You've covered the bases so well.

For me, I didn't know so many talented people existed on earth, and there are more each day joining the blogger ranks.

I didn't know I had so many people with so much in common from all parts of the globe.

Love you...

That's why I do like blogging; we learn so much that we wouldn't have learned on our own by people who are doing things and making it interesting as they relate what they do. It is so fascinating to read it all and there is so much more to read if one had time!

Chatty / Sandie! I have learned tons too. Amazing info, amazing friends and amazing people. I've learned about HTML codes that I didn't think I could decipher. I've learned to blog - I mean it isn't easy - and I learned from great friends like YOU!!!!

I have learned that no matter how different we are, what culture we come from, what we believe....we are all more alike than we are different and the differences don't matter when there is friendship.

I became a really serious blogger when I became totally fed up with the thoughtlessness of facebook. I love the creativity of writing and of taking pictures and putting a post together. I really feel like I have created something when I am finished with a post. I get great ideas and inspiration from all of the blogs I visit. It is so mych fun to exchange comments, ideas, stories. So many times in conversation with my husband, friends or family I now mention something I read on a blog. Blogging has opened a whole new world for me as well and I am very thankful to be a part of it. Enjoy your week, my blogging friend!

Until blogging, I never realized how many people there are, that share similar "things" and "understanding of things" that don't always get discussed. It's always a relief to know you aren't the only one!

Oh definitely. Blogging has opened my eyes and my mind. And next week I will be meeting a fellow blogger here in CA for lunch! She lives not too far from me. Kinda nervous, but good nervous. She will be my first non-family interaction besides the usual daily ones like grocery store, walks, etc. And I've learned a LOT from you Sandie! Ever day. Ann

What a lovely post, CC. So thoughtful! I think that somewhere in the U.S. (they could move the meetings) there should be a "Meet Your Blogging Friends" conference (to attend at your own choosing; or not.) But some would attend; KWIM. Esp. if you knew certain 'friends' you have will, indeed, be there!

Those who organize it could get local businesses to chip in for good rates and other things.

I have also learned so much through the blogging world. I am still learning more and more every day. What I am thankful for the most is how many blogging friends are willing to share and help a fellow blogger.

Nice write up about blogging, Sandie. Most of us have had most of those experiences that we all can treasure.

I people who don't know the joys blogging two things:
1) blog stands for weB LOG; and
2) blogging is like having a hundred pen pals (the old timers understand that). Then if I haven't bored them too badly I go on telling them some of the places the 'pals' live and some of the situations, much as you did here.

One fellow, a preacher, decided that he needed a blog after seeing and reading mine. We went down to the Woodlands and he bought a book, "Blogging for Dummies." It was a fairly decent book.

But he never got started, I saw him this Sunday at Mrs. Jim's family reunion picnic in Louisiana.

I love this post, Sandie, and I echo everything you've said. There's only one thing I can find to complain about regarding the world of blogging. And that is, it is so addicting that I spend way too much time on the 'puter and that's not so good for my behind! :)
I'm so glad to have met you through blogging. Blogging friends are the best!

I have learned a lot in blog land. I've chatted with so may wonderful bloggers and I feel a connection to you all, but with some of you I feel as though I've known you or am meant to know you. Take you for instance, our emails mean so much to me...you mean so much to me! You remind me of so many good things in life and have helped fill up my inspiration wall here at home and my heart. :) I find myself hearing or seeing something that reminds me of a blog friend and I find myself mentioning it to a perfect stranger sometimes. I believe that we think of one another at times we're away from the computer and I think that's so very special. Also I really like thinking about things from another perspective. Another deep, touching post Sandie!
Love,
Marie

I am constantly amazed! Hugs!
