Fun Friday with a little help from my friends.

LET'S GO ON A TRIP TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!

Isn't this the truth?

Why You Shouldn't Lie A minister told his congregation, "Next week I plan to preach about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."

The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a show of hands. He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17. Several hands went up.

The minister smiled and said, "Mark has only sixteen chapters. I will now proceed with my sermon on the sin of lying."
Thank you Sharon

THE LAUGH:

THIS WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!

THE LIFT:   Thank you Monica.

That reference to Mark 17 is a hoot! Can't wait to share with our neighbor, a retired minister. Sometimes he will reference a particular scripture and I'm embarrassed to admit, I'm clueless.

Dar said...

Ha! The same drug problem that I had and still it runs through my veins . This particular drug problem should still be well enforced. Never tell a lie. :-/

I love the squirrel! LOL He is socking it back, Sandie!

Guess what... I got the book! It got here yesterday, and Mr. M gave it to me this morning. I can't wait to read it. I will be escaping to St. Augustine again next week (I'm back for the weekend), so I will try and read it then. Can't wait!

And the Promise Land? At some point, when the last trumpet sounds and Jesus returns, the gates will open for the last time. Some people will knock, and he will say, "Depart from me, I know you not." I just want to be on the inside, and thanks to Him and what He did, I will be! You, too! Maybe we'll be neighbors. I'd like that!

XO,

Sheila

The Mark 17 story is a good one. Too bad about the white legs, but probably nobody would be looking at her legs.

Cartoon likes are #'s (Ooops, no number):
Mouse using the 'mouse-sized' straw; and
Lady with the untannable feet.

I pretty well believe that lying is not a sin. Yes if it is malicous or hurtful.

Have a nice weekend. It is "raining in Georgia" is it not?

So THAT is why the squirrels around here act as they do!!! Hmm, maybe I should make a Pink Squirrel (haven't thought about that drink in ages) and join them.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Ok, a great Monday too. ;)

I had the same drug problem! Must be a family trait because I passed it along to my daughters.

I love the one about lying in church. I should try that on my SS class.
I'm sneaky like that.

I drug my children everywhere I had to go too! And on the darn bus!!! My late mother always said I was blessed with beautiful and healthy children. Boy was she right!
She drug me everywhere too! My dad worked long, hard hours at the steel mill and my mother was a tough bird! She made sure we minded and she drug us where ever it was she needed to go!
Love this story!

Cheryl @ TFD said...

I had the same kind of drug problem the article writes about! If only kids had that same "problem" today....sigh.

The squirrel is hilarious!!
