(Thanks Sandra for the idea!)
Isn't this scene beautiful?
Love this one.
What a dream come true!
Must of been a teenager.
Disco tries to do this too.
TWO NUNS WERE SHOPPING AT
A 7-11 STORE. AS THEY PASSED BY THE BEER COOLER, ONE NUN SAID TO THE OTHER,"
WOULDN'T A NICE COOL BEER OR TWO TASTE WONDERFUL ON A HOT SUMMER
EVENING?
THE SECOND NUN ANSWERED, "INDEED IT WOULD, SISTER, BUT I WOULD NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE BUYING BEER, SINCE I AM CERTAIN IT WOULD CAUSE A SCENE AT THE CHECKOUT STAND."
"I CAN HANDLE THAT WITHOUT A PROBLEM" THE OTHER NUN REPLIED, AND SHE PICKED UP A SIX-PACK AND HEADED FOR THE CHECK-OUT.

THE CASHIER HAD A
SURPRISED LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN THE TWO NUNS ARRIVED WITH A SIX-PACK OF
BEER.
"WE USE BEER FOR WASHING OUR HAIR" THE NUN SAID, "BACK AT OUR NUNNERY, WE CALL IT CATHOLIC SHAMPOO.
WITHOUT BLINKING AN EYE, THE CASHIER REACHED UNDER THE COUNTER, PULLED OUT A PACKAGE OF PRETZEL STICKS, AND PLACED THEM IN THE BAG WITH THE BEER. HE THEN LOOKED THE NUN STRAIGHT IN THE EYE, SMILED, AND SAID: "THE CURLERS ARE ON THE HOUSE."

Wish I could move like that again.
Girls if you want the shoes - buy the shoes - life is too short - but you don't need ten pairs.
True or what?
Amen!
Older people are always able to say the truth and get away with it!
Ah, not sure it makes a difference!
Poor Disco - Where are his steps?
He's so confused with all the movement going on in the house.
lol
It takes a real storm in the average person's life to make him realize how much worrying he has done over the squalls.

PS I had to go to the doctor today and get drained!!!!!!!!!!!! I go back next week and if I am still retaining fluid I get to have my drains put back in!
I will not complain as this is not really a big deal in the whole scheme of things.
BUT I AM OFF READING AND WRITING FOR TWO WEEKS!
SORRY!

Always enjoy the jokes. Running of the bulls is too cute. Love the dog in the mud....
Have a wonderful weekend and where are Disco's steps???
Debby
The curlers are on the house. Bwahahahahahahahaha. Loved that.
The drains are a small thing to contend with and I know that you know that.
Have a blessed day and weekend honey. Scritches to Disco. ♥♥♥
OMG it was hilarious, I read the entire post but the nuns are definitely the best.

You always find a way to bring a smile and a belly laugh. Relax and as always. Love. This time from NY. (Hoping the drains are not required. but love that attitude! SWEET)
Lots of funnies here, always enjoy them.
You find the best cartoons and jokes! You are still in my prayers, Sandie. Keep us posted, as you can, please. Love & hugs.
What a treat collection of funny bits! Some of them very thoughtful.
I hope you have a great couple of weeks, and don't feel too "drained" at th end.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Love your belly laughs. Sending hugs to you friend.
Just posted on mine.
I got rid of my sofa and put up my new one.
Have a great day relax.
Fun chuckles with you again! Thanks for giving me many smiles today.
And drains?? That sounds so painful, and sorta yucky. Do they have spigots on them?! (Sorry...couldn't resist)
Will miss you, but take it easy. You've got an awful lot going on right now.
Love u and your bunch! Disco, too.
Gotta run for now - need to shampoo my hair and use my curlers.
Hi Sandie, Sorry about the Drains --but like you said, you have done GREAT overall... Take all of the time you need to get healthy.....
Love the one about the Nuns and Beer... CUTE.... Others I enjoyed: Snap, Crackle, Pop one, Running of the Bulls, and the statement about getting OLD once you stop having fun!!!
Hugs and Prayers,
Betsy
Oh, there were so many good things in today's post, Sandie. Was chuckling away!
You know I am hoping the BEST for you.
Have some fun in these next couple of weeks, too, okay? Susan
No, they're not! I get to wish you all the best and be a very good girl!
"am I dead?" bwaaa haaaa haaaa My heaven would be the same as the bunny rabbit's only it would be me surrounded by cookies... LOL
Do you mean you have to stay off the computer until you go back? Bummer, but I guess when you consider the other things that could have happened it's not too bad. Take it easy.
I'm glad your comments aren't really off because I get to tell you I loved your post and also to say take care of yourself and have a great weekend! (Sorry about the draining, but it's sooo good to know you are going to be okay!!!)
Hugs,
Cheryl
Love the running of the bulls and the little guy upfront with his feet going in all different directions! Have a great weekend:@)
Have restful two weeks. We will be waiting right here for you.
My daughter and my husband are sending their regards to you. I read your blogs to them a lot of times and they have fun laughing and enjoying.
Good luck with the drains. Remember we love you.
Oh Sandie, sorry to hear about the problems with draining; hope you don't have to get the drains back in.
Too cute with all the laughs; loved the cell phones running to grandma too :)
take care of yourself!
betty
LOL on the thermometer. I do remember those dreadful things. My mom was convinced they were more accurate. -_-

Take the time to do something joyful for yourself, Sandi.
Life is fun and fun makes life worthwhile.
Merle..............
Love the nun joke. LOL And I've bought the shoes, probably more than I should. Health issues are always taxing. Humor helps to get you through. hang in there.
The running of the bulls and the nuns buying beer cracked me up
Sorry about the drains but at least like you said not a big deal in the grand scheme. Take care of yourself and we'll be here when you get back
Another great post! Love the joke about the nuns. So cute. I sent it to a nun friend of mine. The dog in the mud reminds me of my new puppy. Have a wonderful weekend, sweet Sandie.
Wow you are really in the swing of things again. These are all great! Thank you Sandie!
I'm snap crackling and popping here...getting older does give you a totally different slant on things. Hope all goes well for you. Take good care !
I would think the drains would be quite small a problem compared to what you have been through. The dog in the mud was cute---glad I don't have to clean him Drains, ok but hope you feel well to. Mu computer is on its last legs so if you don't hear from me for a while one day, I will hope to be back.
Sorry about the drains-thing. I know they are a pain, but necessary sometimes. Love the running of the bulls and the nuns. Laughter IS the best medicine. Big Hug! Ann TBL
Dearest Sandi,
Fun times at your place as always!
This dog in the mud-cracks me up!
You slow down!! You do way too much-put your feet up, drink some lemonade, watch some good movies (old ones of course) and chill girl!
Love,
Jemma
All the best to you. And I loved the running of the bulls.
Sorry you are off writing. Perhaps reading is still okay?
I loved the Nun Joke, so did Mrs. Jim. I won't tell it to my S.S. class because they don't all agree on this kind of jokes being funny. Others drink beer and/or wine (we don't talk about that, we are Baptists) and might not like it either.
Disco hides from his bath, so does Katrin.
..
Loved this (until I got to the part at the end about the draining. ) I am at my mom's until she recovers from surgery, and I just shared this post with her. It's nice to laugh with you again. I hope you will be back and DRAIN problems solved in short order.
(And I LOVED the quote about the storm and the squall. Amen dear sister.)
hey, you ... i am catching up. miss ya. big big hugs. thanks, for the laughs. ( :
We look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks time, Sandie. Thanks for the smiles today...there are some very good ones amongst this lot...all of them, actually!
Take good care. :)
Good Morning, Sandie!
My sweet dear friend, well,
I do not know whether you will read this comment or not, but I am concerned about your health.
You should take plenty of rest.
I assume you are taking antibiotics to prevent getting infections.
If you overwork your body after your important surgery, it is likely that your breasts won't heal as quickly as you expect them to be. I may see your breasts are dripping fluids with some blood, so this is the main reason why you may need to get your drainage back on, if that is the case your breasts continue to drip fluids. To get your breasts drained or checked once a week by doctors is unthinkable for me. You should be checked every day after your surgery. At least, it is my point of view what I should do. Take it easy! Do not do heavy housework! You should take plenty of rest, take your antibiotics to prevent infections, until you are fully healed. About today good laughters, I like the one with the Catholic Shampoo, the flying cat, the two Nuns buying beers, and the Nurses using rectal thermometers.
I pray for your complete healings and prompt recovery, my friend.
God be with you at all times.
Blessings & Prayers on your way.
Hope, Peace & Love,
Starry.
Hope you are doing OK. I know there is some misery involved there.
Poor Disco - moving is hard on pets. :)
Oh you always make me laugh love the top pic it is stunning.
I do hope you get the drain thing figured out. Thinking of you. Hug B
I'm so sorry about the drains and hope you don't have to have them back in!
If Disco uses steps, he has my admiration! My dogs wouldn't even consider them and I tried!
Loved all the funnies and after all, laughter really is the best medicine.....that and pain meds!
All enjoyable and uplifting. You are a blessing. Catherine xo
I fell off my chair on the Nun joke. I use the same curlers too. :)
I can relate to so many of these..guess I'm not getting that old yet. Neither are you..that's for sure. Loved every single one.

I loved the nun joke. I love your sense of humor when all is going wrong and hurting around you. You are in my prayers dear lady. LJ
thanks for the support and wish for August to be gone. When I first did chemo I didn't realize it would affect me for those additional 21 days. I just thought they were spacers. But, nope. They are there for the chemo to do it's thang!! But my nurse did say that by about day 17-18 the symptoms are all gone. Awh, I cannot wait. I can't!! It is like Christmas!!!!
Hi Sandie - glad all is still progressing happily - drains and all ... I do hope things ease.
Loved the Nun story - what great fun ...
And all the fun things .. take care and relax as you read and recover .. Hilary
Oh so you like my ensemble to you. I think that dress is a perfect summer tea time dress. I am going dress it up again next week in an entirely different vibe. Just wait and see my friend.♥
