LIFE AS WE KNOW IT - NOW . . .

HOW IS DISCO TAKING THIS VIRUS?

I think he is very nervous with us all being home.
He is not getting his sleep because he is too nosey.
If someone goes up he has to go up.
If someone goes down he goes down.
If you go to the kitchen he is there.
If you go to the garage he is there.

I know he knows it is weird we are all home - and I think he wishes things would go back to normal where he could nap and rest more.
Don't we all want normal again?

On the hunt for food.

Bingo found our take out food.

Lol

On my post last time I received one of the ugliest comments - from a young person  - that I have ever received and I have blogged since 2006.

It was left Anonymously.

Therefore I took off letting Anonymous people being able to post on my blog.

The last line said that the young people were just waiting for us older people to die off from this virus.
That they hated us and could not stand us.
And that was the nicest thing they said!

I know it was not personal.

However it affected me.

I am so sad that there is even one person on this earth that could say what they said.

Where does that much hate come from?

Prayers for them.

I believe this too.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

JOKES

You have to be a Georgian or know something about Georgia to appreciate that joke.

We all get upset when our schedules are interrupted so I can relate to Disco. Poor guy, it's going to be awhile before anything gets back to normal. Glad at least you have family at home to fo through it together

I think I saw the comment you referred to on another bog this morning and I was stunned.
It ended with the same sentence you mentioned so it must be some person going around to the same type of blog.
I was very upset by reading it so I understand what you meant when you said you were affected as well.

I just don't understand things like that.

Anyway, try to shake it off.

Take care.

First it is amazing how ignorant young folks and some older people can be. Older people who intentionally sneeze or cough on veggies in the grocery store. We had a young man arrested in our small town for intentionally coughing on some one, Not realizing if they wish he could be charged with attempted murder.
Now to how much you brightened our day. The belly laughs and graphics are a hoot. Thanks for making the day much more pleasant. Love you girl,
Sherry and jack
Ps: Just tell Disco hello for us and COOL IT!

Hi Sandie! when I got the nasty post, after reading only a word or two, I deleted it without reading it. I would not let it get me worked up, or give them the satisfaction of knowing I read it. I love the dog walking stuff!! How funny Disco is, how old is he now anyway? Are you staying in?? How are you getting supplies?

I'm sorry for the horrible comment you received... Whether the comment came from an 80 year older, or a kid who doesn't know any better ---it was hurtful I'm sure... I read that several bloggers got it --so someone is just being malicious... I have had anonymous people blocked on my blog for a long time. I also have my comments moderated (so that I check them before they get on my blog)... There's mean-ness out there of all ages... VERY SAD--especially now when so many are hurting.

All of our lives are so different now --and in most ways, harder... We are naturally 'social' beings ---so having to distance ourselves is not easy... I had a little 'spat' with my good friend since she was being so negative about having to stay in, etc.... I finally distance myself from HER for awhile... Life is HARD. We need people around us who are positive and see the blessings through the strife....God is in control!!!!

I always love your blog.
Hugs,
Betsy

So sorry you got a nasty comment. Some people need to get a life. I feel sorry for them. Our cats have adjusted since I retired two years ago... they are used to both of us being here all day. Poor Disco!! He doesn't know what to think or do! I always enjoy your posts, Sandie!! Love & hugs!

Aw, here's a big {{{HUG}}} to Disco. Ya, I had the same comment from Anonymous, as did several other friends. Stunned? Exactly! It's hard to comprehend that level of hatred, but I give you props for saying you'll pray for him/her.

PS - Sorry to say, I know nothing about Georgia so I don't get that KFC joke.

An ugly comment like that would shake me. Loved your post about Anne Frank. This is what keeps me sure I can handle the 'stay home' order for as long as it takes. My dad was a 19yo in the British army during WWII. He was captured at Dunkirk and held in German prison camps for 4 years!! His ankle and jaw were broken. My mom grew up in Belgium and my Granny worked with the Belgium underground hiding British and American soldiers.. Belgium was under German occupation. They lived during extremely stressful times. We can do this for each other....young and old. God bless all of us. Patty McDonald

I think Anonymous left that comment on multiple blogs. Sad that there are trolls out there that get their jollies that way.

We don't have pets, but I have indeed seen a lot more dog walkers lately.

Oh Disco, such a cute boy. I've had that same comment on my post. I just deleted it and marked it as spam. I only read the first line and removed it, I never even read the whole comment. I miss walking our dog but I'm not sure I'm ready for another one yet either. Take Care and stay healthy!

Pups know your schedule and when you change it they get nervous. More love and assurance.

Have a fabulous day and week, Sandie. Stay well. ♥

Sandie, I think it's terrible that someone left a nasty comment for you. You deserve the BEST, not the worst. Just does to show how low class that person really is. There is enough love in the world to just ignore such people. However, I probably would have reacted like you did....feeling badly. It's really not you who is the problem, my dearest Sandie. It is a reflection of the person who wrote it. Some people must simply put others down in order to build themselves up. Sad but true. Love you mucho. Susan

Another great post

I did see that comment. Glad you changed your comments. I would do the same. Poor Disco. It must be so confusing to him! Just when he gets used to it all then things will go back to normal.

You have such a gift for cheering us up!
I always feel a little better for visiting here.
I had to change my comments settings too.

Poor Disco, I know how pets like their routines! I've heard that animals at zoos are acting weird without visitors.
And what's with the evil Anonymous commentor?! I can't believe it's real, probably a spam bot. I have noticed a lot of young people going out of their way to help older and at-risk people, either by doing grocery runs for them or staying quarantined to keep from spreading the disease.

Great post, Sandie. :)

You weren't the only one who received that Anonymous comment. There are too many idiots in this world...and they are all too cowardly to give their names...so they revert to being anonymous. They should get off their butts, deflate their egos...their feelings of self-importance and do some good in the world...do some good for others. Ignore them...delete them...don't give them the time of the day...don't give them any of your precious time.

Take good care, my friend...stay well. Give Disco a pat or three for me. :)

I'm like the rest of the commenters ...Delete and go on with all the ugly things someone is posting.
I was hacked on my FB and Instagram pages yesterday.
What a pain and the comments do get under my skin.
Love your photos and the ongoing Disco adventures.
The story about Anne Frank really makes one say..what do we have to really complain about?
We will get through this..
Stay well and looking forward to "normal" again...I wonder what the new normal will be....

Hi Sandie! Guess who is here?? Your post as always is lovely, funny, entertaining, etc. etc. I think our dogs ARE effected by this. Charlie has been acting different, too! Take care lovely friend!

Skye doesn't have that problem because it's still just the two of us. I love the dog jokes! That comment wasn't personal because I saw it on a few other bloggers posts. It really upset me to see it. How can someone hate so much. I like all the memes you shared. You take care and stay well. Love, Debby

Oh my gosh, Sandie, I think we are kindred spirits. I was thinking about Anne Frank lately before I even saw this quote. Seven other people in that tiny space! Your salad looks so good. Where did you get that? I haven't gotten take out or even went through the drive through this whole time. I always think about other people preparing the food. I really miss Starbuck's drive through and their wonderful goodies. Those dog walk pictures are so funny. I bet Disco does feel a bit anxious having everybody around. I hope he does Ok through all of this. Your post brought a little sunshine to my day today.

Take care, Sandie, and stay well.

Happy April 1.

I think I got the same very ugly comment. I rarely get comments of that ilk, and for that I am deeply grateful. I'm sorry that you were subjected to that, too.
Enjoyed Disco's take on this time. My friends' dogs are loving having so much attention. Take good care!

Yes, I too "would go back to normal." The 2917-18 flu ended just after WW I ended, can't be the end because we don't have a war of any sorts going.
I missed the joke, funny part, of the big chicken wearing the mask. Probably vandals painted the beak blue?
A long time ago a robot got into my blog and left hundreds of comments using Asian. Chinese like, characters as an "Anonymous" commenter. Right away I changed my blogs to Blogger and/or google signed in persons only could leave comments.
Like the Hawaiians say, "Hang tight!!"

Meant to mention, my grandmother died in the flu epidemic of 1917-18. I hope I am not repeating myself. If I have told this I'm sorry I'm saying it again.

Hi Sandie - so glad Disco is getting his exercise! What'll be worse is when things return to normal - then Disco will be stumped ... so much sleeping time - I'm sure he'll adjust though as the days go by. Take care and all the best - ignore idiots - cheers Hilary

So sorry you had to experience such a horrible comment.
Some people are just rotten.. and extreme situations like these just give them an excuse to be nasty.

I think I got the same comment on my blog, or at least very similar. Whoever it was, was calling older people boomers and hoping they die. It was awful! I deleted it, but still accept anonymous. I do have it set where any post older than seven days has to have new comments moderated so hopefully that helps some. Seems spam and ugly comments like to go on older posts in my blog for some reason. I'm so sorry you got a comment like that too!

Blessings, and stay safe!

Disco looks a bit perplexed! I'm sure hoping for some good news soon- I'm ready for a miracle. So sorry you got a nasty comment- why are people so dadgum mean? Well, you and yours stay safe, and I hope to get back to my blog soon and keeping up with everyone. Just so much going on! Happy Easter!

Sorry that you received such an ugly comment. Can you just imagine how desperate for attention and misguided that the commenter must have been? I'm sure that they didn't receive any lasting pleasure or joy from what they said. Anyway, thanks for sharing a few laughs! I especially liked the dog who suggested finding something to watch on Netflix. Have a happy day.
