GOOD MORNING:
A HODGEPODGE ~
It's going to be a stressful couple of weeks. Not sure you all remember our radon issue in our apartment complex, but it is coming to an end.
We are moving in a couple of weeks. Just found a new place. So things are going to be busy for a while!
Question ~
I had a very active blog years ago and lost all my contacts and emails.
Mail4rosey wrote a comment last week and I can't find her. Rosey if you stop by again send your address - I would like to hear from you.
Something to think about ~
“Every now and again take a good look at something not made with hands- a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream. There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world.” Sidney Lovett – minister.
Joke ~
A young man sprinkling
his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel
to see how much pesticide remained in it. He raised the cover and lit his
lighter; the vapors ignited and engulfed him He jumped from his truck,
screaming. His neighbor came out of her house with a dozen eggs and a bowl
yelling: "bring me some more eggs!"
She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks. The neighbor woman helped her to apply the whites onto the young man's face.
When the ambulance arrived and the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge.
They congratulated her
and said: "You have saved his face." By the end of the summer, the
young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her. His face was like a
baby's skin.

Keep in mind this treatment of burns is being included in teaching beginner fireman. First Aid consists of first spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced which stops the continued burning of all layers of the skin. Then, spread the egg whites onto the affected area.
***
One woman burned a large
part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold faucet
water on her hand, separated 2 egg whites from the yolks, beat them slightly
and dipped her hand in the solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective
layer.
She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.
You can click here for studies on this.

I hope you find something interesting here. ☺ ♥ Love, Chatty

Wow, you do have a long list of followers. I only have a fraction of yours.
I used to be interested in the lives of the stars but not now. I'm satisfied with my own life finally.
I hope that the move goes well. It's so much work to move. I hope you'll be very happy with your new home. Thanks for the egg white hint. I had never heard of it.
Have a great week.
Hugs, Julia
Good news that you have found a place to move to. I hope you had it checked for radon. I'd never heard of egg whites helping burns heal before, but will keep it in mind next time I get burned. Very interesting post today. Thanks for all the information.
i did a search and found this, it might be what you are looking for. or not. http://www.mail4rosey.com/
good luck with the move, has to be hard starting over again when you just got settled in. I assume you had the new place tested for radon, right?
Email me your new address, Sandie. Hopefully this place won't have any issues. Thanks for the info on burns, hopefully I'll remember if the need arises. Funny how we all use to blog daily years ago and now.....
Thinking of you and your move, we hope it is a good one, but WE KNOW that any move cn be trying!
I never heard of the egg whites, thanks so very much.

Oh, you found a place, I'm so happy for you, Sandie. You will have to tell me about it through e-mail. You are going to be so busy for awhile moving and organizing. I really like the mountain quote. That's a helpful tip for the burns. Have never heard of that. Whenever I get a sunburn, I use aloe vera, and it really helps, so soothing. I'm off to check out the link about the movie stars. That would be fun to see the grow up kids.
I hope you have a smooth move, Sandie, with no complications. ; )

Moving! Exciting and stressful at the same time. Best wishes!
I never heard about the egg white remedy, how interesting. I *almost* want to experience a burn to try it out!
I'm so sorry you have to move but you definitely needed to leave the place you are in. Thanks for the link you shared. That is a nice statement from the minister. Love the joke. I like that helpful hints.
Have a nice week.
I did not know that about egg whites!
The egg white treatment is something I really need to remember. Moving again, arrggg!! You must be so overwhelmed! So I want to know all about your new place. Town hose, apartment? Do you like it better than this one, how is it different? Details please!
I don't know what the issue was so I'll try to go back in your post to find it...
Can't wait to see the new digs!
hugs
Donna
After all the rushing and packing and to-do-ing, I hope your new place brings y'all much peace of mind and happiness!
Like others have said, this bit about egg whites is fascinating. I love what we learn from one another out in the Blogaverse!
I hadn't know about the egg white.. excellent tip. Will try to remember that one.
Wןishing you a smooth move to your new home!
Thanks for the tip for burns. Usually applying cold, helps.
Look forward to seeing your new place and hope the radon is not there. Janice
Moving can be so stressful but that's life
So pleased that you have found a place to move to.
Moving can be stressful, so I am sending lots of calming and positive wishes to you across the miles.
Do take care.
God bless.
All the best Jan,
Good luck with your moving. Man, that is always a hassle, isn't it?
Maybe that is why as a teenager we used to slap on slimmy egg whites on our faces, after a sunburn. There must be something about that. Interesting.
I'm so happy you are moving. I can't wait to hear all about it and see the pictures.
I couldn't tell you who is who anymore in Hollywood. I just don't care but that was not always the case. My mom was a big Hollywood fan of the classic stars and I do appreciate the old vintage Hollywood stars and stories. We always had a photoplay magazine on the coffee table with the latest of Liz and Richard Burton or Sandra Dee and Bobbie Darrin. I know a lot about the old ones that have all passed years ago - When I was a teenager we'd go down there and get a map to the star's homes and once we girls, almost got hit by Dean Martins's kids - they almost plowed right into us, head on. Imagine if they had - My friend had a crush on Dino Martin. and I had a crush on Desi Arnez, Jr.
Ahhh fun times.
You certainly are in the midst of a very busy time, Sandie...with your move, and all that is associated with it. Remember to take time out to breathe, and put your feet up (legs attached) when and where possible! :)
That's interest information about the use of egg whites for burns. I wasn't aware of the benefits. Thanks. :)
I am so happy you have found a new place to call home!! Please do tell us more as you can!! Interesting about the egg white as a burn treatment. Thanks for the giggles, too! Love & hugs!!
Hi, I'm here!! Thanks, MadSnapper for getting the contact over to her. Glad you found a new place to move. I hope it's all you want and more. That's fascinating about the egg whites. Our family used to put them on stingers to draw them out. I didn't know you could use them on burns too.
Good Morning, Sandie!!
I'm so glad you found your new place and would move soon there.
It looks like an awesome house with Pool and other amenities in the Community.
I'm also happy you found your old friend, Rosey. She sent a note to you.
Your next move to your new place will make you feel happier in your life.
It's lovely to look at the stars, the moon, mountains, a beautiful stream,
rivers, lakes, the Ocean, the Beach and other things that are not made with our hands. I call it, Mother Nature. I love Nature, Animals, Wildlife!
I love your Blog, and I'll visit you from time to time, my dear friend.
Good Luck on your Move!!
As usual, a great and interesting post! Especially the burn part which I hope to remember ... just in case. [Like that me remember would ever happen! ha ha!] Have a wonderful week, Sandie! I plan on it too. :o)
Oh my goodness, prayers that the move goes well. Thanks for the egg tip! Enjoy your day dear friend, looks like a rainy one here! HUGS!
Testing.
I think the general medical consensus is you shouldn’t use egg whites on burns because there’s a risk, even a small one, of salmonella infection. I suppose if there is no open wound in a burn it might be ok. But with the damaged skin after a burn, might be more easily infected.
